What a terrible experience I continue to have a Grand Central Mercedes Benz in Midrand. This time it happens after 2.5yrs of boycotting them from past numerous bad services experienced but just on return boom. Collected my car from a service last night and today morning I drive it to work, the car to work and it packs up and stops in the middle of the road. Diesel was leaking so badly on the road. On opening the bonnet, I found that the pipe to the diesel filter was not fastened and petrol was just pouring out like a fountain. This was definitely negligence from the mechanic who serviced my car. S/he didn't tighten this pipe. Thank God it was a Diesel car, should it have been a petrol car it would have ignited. The quality of mechanics at Grand Central Mercedes is so bad, service too is terrible. I doubt they are poised for doing any vehicle service, they will kill people if not already.

On Tuesday 8th Aug 2023 I have organized tow truck to drop my vehicle in this dealership since it's primary battery was dead and its annual service was also due. So I called in, arrange for the drop off for the service on Thursday morning. I actually needed a battery purchase from this dealership to simplify the situation since I was out of province but unfortunately they didn't have battery on stock and I was told the waiting period of the order is about 21days sincewell is from outside the country so I couldn't wait any longer but to get the battery from dealership locally so my car can get its service done. On Thurs morning around 8am when I get to the Mercedes so to get the old battery or at least its size to avoid purchasing wrong battery, I was told to wait as the agent was still busy booking other vehicles in for service, to my surprise I wasn't been attended to for 2+ hrs, as of till 10:45 or so, that's when he then attend to me for the battery sample and he then told me That my vehicle will not be serviced today as it's already late, it can only be attended to tomorrow as in Friday. I have never felt so undermined ever before as in how the Mercedes did recently. What I was sure of is that I am not gonna spend funds for accommodation as if my car is in need of major service instead it was just a minor service that could take 1hr. The service agent who attended to me didn't seem to be giving a damn at all, instead it's not gonna be done today regardless of towing the car into their dealership 2days in advance so to simplify situation but nope, it was just a waste of time and money for paying all the towing company. I had no choice but to request my vehicle back so to make a booking somewhere were I would be treated with dignity. That's when they decided to attend to my vehicle the very same day afternoon around 2pm, they called to notify me that it's gonna be ready at 4:20pm for collection. When I collect the car, he told me it shows auxi****y battery signal on the dash, I mean is already 5pm but it could be because the car has been on flat battery for long so it could clears on the way. To my surprise my car didn't switch its Stop&Go function at all, instead it was switching off the engine completely at the robots 🙄🤔😏😔😢 and mind you I am driving back to limpopo that evening. When I call Mercedes the following day, I was told to bring the car back, just imagine all this travelling costs and time consuming driving back and forth for the service is could have done like any other clients did, What annoys me and again disappoints me is that these people doesn't seem to be valuing me as their client because I mean this car was purchased here, been serviced here for years but regardless... I suspect they gave me all this horrible treatment since the battery was brought from outside. Now I have to go back to Mercedes so to get my car back to its original, so stressed.

As a little girl I had a dream to own a luxury car like Mercedes Benz my dream became reality in 2018 March when I bought my brand new Mercedes Benz, let me cut the story short, after 3 months of buying C200 brand new my car couldn’t start normal I had to call Mercedes Benz mechanics to come jumpstart me so that continued to be my problem in winter this was just the beginning, my passenger front seat started peeling off I reported apparently they changed the whole entire seat, after a year or before that I can’t remember my charging point was charging only 1 side I reported they told me there is nothing they can do as is not covered and that I should pay for them to fix, so after that the whole case board also peeled off I was also told there is nothing they can do, anyways I took my car for service and they didn’t put coolant imagine I was told i should have told them to put coolant how funny is that if you take car for service they have to run diagnosis anyways, 22 September took my car in as it was shaking like I’m driving a truck got scared I went to grand central and explained my problem I was then given a quote which I accepted it by 28 September where I gave them go ahead to fix the car, so 05 October 2022 nateesha singh called me saying your car is ready for collection, with excitement I returned my curtesy car and rushed to grand central motors for collection of my car , upon my arrival was told your car is fixed go pay and collect keys after paying lot of money R32.000 as a single mother of 3 is a lot , when I went to the car I noticed they lied to me my car was not fixed, it was shaking even more that when I brought it, I asked them why they didn’t fix it they started telling me stories that all this was communicated to my service advisor said the machanic, they started telling me that they don’t know what the problem after I made the payment I’m sure they expected me to just take car and go because I’m a young female and maybe they thought I’m not educated, my car was brand new when I purchased it came with all this problem, today is 03 November 2022 I still have not received any updates regarding the progress of the car, I lost over 10 deals because of this huge inconvenience of not able to travel to meet clients as I was , JJ the acting manager at that time guys remember all this was all their fault he offered me a curtesy Car which they needed me to pay another 10k I couldn’t take the office as I had just paid 32k for fixing the car and can’t afford another 10k, no one cares about customer service at grand central motors Midrand. No one knows what the problem is in my car I’m sitting without a car I’m just paying it for it while I’m not enjoying the services, a car that was bought with them brand new was problematic after 3 months of purchase, I’m losing money everyday without a car is been a month since I paid for that invoice, guys be careful of nateesha Singh a very big liar how can she call me and made me pay saying my car is ready and she knew they failed to fix it and didn’t even communicate that she continued lying to me saying is fixed, I thank God for the Indian machanic who confirmed in our present that all information was communicated to nateesha but she thought she’s enough that she will not communicate that with me and continue lying saying everything is perfect, I’m suffering a big loss daily without a car, Mercedes Benz guys I can’t survive one more day without a Car

The Management and Staff at Grand Central Motors really have gone out of their way in the last 12 months to assist myself friends and family with the maintenance and repair of our vehicles. There is no task that is too big for them to handle and no request that goes unheard. To name a few: Eric Calvery, Theo Lindique, Rishen Nonkoo(workship). Their service is nothing short of exceptional. I hope that these gentlemen are rewarded for displaying service excellence and exceeding expectations.

I ordered parts, and was forced to pay in full for the parts on 12 February 2021 from Dylan. It is 6 weeks later, and my parts are still not here. I follow up on a constant basis, but all i get from them is they don't know when it will arrive. How can you as a dealer not know when parts will arrive, this after you promises me delivery in 3 weeks. mercedes benz South Africa is extremely bad, especially when it comes to after sales service. if i can advise you, don't buy Mercedes, you will get stuck with your vehicle for months, with no answers.

Im very unhappy with the treatment we received from mercedes at grand central, particular Eric the service manager and their booking clerck Sheryl. The other day the broke in my car and smashed the window now the glasses fell in between the door, glasfit managed to fix my window and they were so kind to get my insurance to approve that Mercedes can assist in taking out the excess glasses that fell inside the door and glasfit also assisted me in making the booking, through an email which i was also part of. This morning as the car was brought in , Eric told my partner we have to pay for the repair, where as the glasfit personel did mention on the email that they have an account with mercedes they must charge there, but Eric insisted we need to pay, i tried to see if i can talk to him ,he was not interested.secondly we were not told the car was gonna be booked the whole day since all they had to do was to remove the glasses and let us go, now we are told we can only get the car later as in we brought the car for service, bad treatment, Thirdly because now we realise we have to fetch the car later we ask for a shuttle and we were rudely told we were suppose to book it ahead, where as when we book with Sheryl she never mentioned anything to me on the email that i need to book ahead imagine on this rainy day my partner is standing in the rain, they never even offered him to sit in the cafeteria to wait there since they will be busy with the car longer than we anticipated. Other than everything Eric handled the whole situation in a very rude and harsh way. For service manager im not happy. All the mercedes i have been, we have never been treated the way mercedes in grand central did.Now for the fact that i complained eric decided to cancel the service they had to give us, who does that.are we not suppose to complain when we are not happy.

Appalling service! Received a call to take my car in because a part that they were waiting for had arrived. Spoke to the service consultant and asked him about it as I was unaware of this....there was some sort of confusion. Then received another call about the same issue a week later saying that the service consultant said I have to bring the car in. Took the car in and was advised by the service consultant that it was an error, my car is fine. The job card from a month ago (when my car had actually gone in for a service) had not been closed! Will never take my car back to them for a service! Disgusted with the service!
