Be careful
Terrible service, please be careful... After purchasing a RC Land Rover Defender crawler in 2023 for a substantial price the car almost broke immediately (gears). It has since been back to Grand Prix models 3 times (each time at a cost to repair). It has been in their "workshop" since last January (1 year) and they keep telling me the parts are on their way. There has been no updates or feedback from the shop and they were happy to take my money for the repair. I know this unit has issues as we have seen other people bringing their units in for repair yet they continue to sell them en mass.

Be careful
Terrible service, please be careful... After purchasing a RC Land Rover Defender crawler in 2023 for a substantial price the car almost broke immediately (gears). It has since been back to Grand Prix models 3 times (each time at a cost to repair). It has been in their "workshop" since last January (1 year) and they keep telling me the parts are on their way. After making the 30 minute drive for a few cans of paint, the price was higher in the store than it was online, when i asked about it i was told that i would have to pay the higher in-store price. The owner also didn't seem to care about the issue. The lower website price is already higher than any other hobby shop in the country and considering the in-store price, it just reaches madness. I've spent lots of money here in the last 10 years, but I will rather take my business elsewhere if this is the way things are.

Grand Prix is a ***** business
My son bought a drone, when we played with then drone the engine had a default and crashed into the floor. We returned it asking for a refund or they should fix it. Because the fault is on their side selling faulty drone with mechanical problems. This was Dec 2024 and it's now Feb 202t and they still didn't refund or fix their mechanical problems.

SIUPER Bad Service!
My son 9 years saved his birthday money and bought a RC boat in June 2023, on the 1st use something went wrong and it did not work, took it in the following day expecting it to be replaced. This was not the case, they said that the parts will be replaced by them and we should have the boat back in a week. After a week no parts, after a month still no parts. Since this happened I have been back to the store 3-4 times and still not fixed. It is now 6 months later and I have not received 1 phone call from them since I returned the boat. This after I told the tech on the last visit that I am expecting a call from the owner to explain. The worst customer service I have ever received. No exchange, no replacement parts, no calls from them!

SELLING INCORRECT MODELS ONLINE
So I ordered a premium model off takealot (sold by Grand Prix Models as GP Models on the site) and received a completely different item, a basic model that costs 1/3rd what I paid. I logged a return with takealot and then called Grand Prix Models. The lady that deals with online sales, assured me they sent the correct model and the mix up must have happened at the takealot warehouse. I accepted this excuse. A week later, I get the replacement item, and lo and behold, it is the same cheap basic model again. When we buy online, we buy based on the picture displayed, you cannot display a picture of a Toyota and send me a GWM (an anecdote), it does not work like that. Now I am trying to call them and their phone lines do not work. PATHETIC SERVICE!!!!!!!
