Absolutely disgusted by this store and it's employees. While entering the store with my wife and 2 year old in the trolly and a few parcels and our personal items we where told Forcibly to leave our trolly at the door. Keep in mind this is the only store in the entire mall that has this "policy" so I told the employee that I can't do that as my child is in the trolly and thousands of rands of parcels. Keep in mind this is South Africa and leaving your parcels unattended is asking for it to get ******. Even though the employee stated that they will watch it they where not at all bothered about the trollies already standing right by the door not being watched or monitored by anybody. So I declined and said that I would go spend my money at another store and left. I will never set my foot in any Heylo store or support them in any way shape or form ever again. This is unacceptable and utterly unnecessary. I will make sure to spread this review as far and wide as possible, because clearly Heylo does not care about thier customers!

Heylo Baywest won’t be seeing me again. Went in to get one thing and had the worst experience. I was denied entry because of a trolley. My 4 year old daughter was asleep in the trolley and I said I couldn’t leave her at the front of the store. She was the only thing in the trolley, you would see if I put anything else in the trolley but I was told I must leave her with the guy at the front of the store! He said, “I was also a child, it’s fine”! Like what? On one of the busiest days of the year where he is also running around he wanted me to leave my daughter with him! Also, I’m in my third trimester pregnant and alone with my 4 year old. No other shop had a problem with me bringing her in. Even the other people wanting to come in said it was ridiculous. He proceeded to get rude and so I left.

It was literally 17;40 when we arrive at the store, knowing from the time closure being 18;00. The guy at the door who checks slips, refused us in,when we requested the manager because the time closure was not the time for us to be left out,he literally pushed us out(mind you, we are ladies)of the store and closed the door on us. Never called the manager even though we requested to be let in. Many of some customers showed up,knowing that the closure time has not arrived, but we were refused entry. The thing that makes me mad is him ,pushing us out and closing the door. Not happy with the staff and behavior. Super mad

Your staff gather together laughing out so ugly and loudly at baywest mall that it's not a pleasure shopping there. In the times that I've been there nobody asks u if u need any assistance either. Your staff definitely need customer service training.

Heylo - Fourways Mall They sold me a defective water bottle and I went back to the store and requested an exchange. I wanted the same thing not a refund. They refused to take the leaking water bottle back saying it was used. I had poured water into it once and discovered it was leaking. My attempts to reason with the manager fell on deaf ears and he wouldn't even look at me when talking. I was calm and just left the bottle with them despite the racially charged responses from the Asian manager. Avoid this store at all costs

I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment following an incident that occurred at your HEYLO store in BAYWEST Mall. I visited the store with my 9-year-old daughter, who has always considered HEYLO one of her favorite places to shop, along with Crazy Store and YOKICO. Upon entering, I was unexpectedly stopped by an employee who insisted I leave my Dell laptop backpack at the entrance. I declined, explaining that I had visited the store many times before with the same backpack and had never been asked to leave it behind. I proceeded into the store, assuming the matter was settled. However, the employee followed us and informed me that if I refused to leave my bag, it would be subject to a search upon exit. I told him that I did not consent to that either. At this point, I noticed that my daughter had become visibly upset and started to cry. She had never seen anyone speak to me in such a disrespectful manner, and the incident deeply affected her. Shortly after, a supervisor or manager approached and told me this was store policy. I explained again that I had shopped there many times without ever being subjected to such treatment. When I questioned why this policy was suddenly being enforced, she simply repeated that I must comply or leave the store. I then asked if all customers were being treated the same way or if this policy was selectively app****. I pointed out several other shoppers with bags who were not stopped or questioned. When I requested to speak with the person responsible for creating or enforcing this policy, I was told they were unavailable and that the current supervisor/manager was in charge. She continued to insist that my bag would be searched regardless of my consent, which I found unacceptable. Despite my daughter wanting to leave the store due to how distressed she was, I encouraged her to stay and get the items she had looked forward to. Unfortunately, the supervisor's attitude continued to be hostile, even refusing to assist my daughter when she inquired about a watch. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. Another staff member later informed me that her name was Bulelwa. What should have been a simple shopping experience turned into a distressing and humiliating encounter—one that negatively impacted my daughter, and has unfortunately changed her view of your store. I am extremely disappointed by the way this situation was handled, both in terms of professionalism and customer care. I would like to request the following: Clarification on your store’s policy regarding bags and how it is enforced. An explanation for the inconsistent application of this policy. Appropriate action to address the staff behavior during this incident. Assurance that future customers—especially children—won’t be subjected to such upsetting experiences. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response.

The till cashier was so rude to me(Randburg branch) he returned my R1 coin after paying saying I should keep it a look for a better one since it looks beautiful like me.. I then asked what were you referring to and what kind of sarcasm are you trying to throw at me I then concluded by saying I must be hired to train him since I'm a trainer and that it is not a right way to address a customer.. He just said he wouldn't be there probably by the next week so I must just keep the training to myself.. WOW

Heylo Baywest. Do I need to say more. On the 26th of December 2024. Me and my family went to Heylo in Bawest to buy a few things for our new home. I bought a few things the first time, we were assisted by Chuma (Not sure how to spell) and we paid. Never got a receipt for our purchases. The second time I went in alone. Bought 2 things. From the same cashier. No slip received yet again. We went to pay for our paeking tickect. And Chuma came and ask me why i did not pay dor one item. I was not too sure what she was speaking about as I paid and did not received a proof of purchase. She came and embarrassed my whole family in front of Baywest as she did not do her job correctly. She went to call the manager as per my request. They could not show me my slip for my purchased and paid items. I gave back the one item she was complaining about to avoid further arguments.Very disappointed in the store and the employees. Would not recommend the store to anyone. Will never buy from a store where the employees are not properly trained or have the decent mannerisms to take us back to the store and discuss the situation. Please provide proper training and customer service training. Very very poor service.
