Now, about 5 months (September 2025) ago including the 2 months given to Hi Q Potchefstroom to respond or contact me to fix the damage done to my G6. I went in for new tyres, and it was ordered, we got a call to bring the car in as the tyres had arrived. Once there and hey lifted the car they informed me the back stabilizer arms needed replacing otherwise my tyres would run off on the inside - I did that and it was replaced. All was well and I parked off my golf and used my day-to-day car cause the new tyres was for my trip to Cape Town. We made it halfway and the car sounded weird - eventually we stopped trying to figure out what was wrong and could see anything. We arrived to Cpt late and the next morning first thing I went to another tyres place in my hometown. The shock and horror that these guys showed me - my brand-new tyres were completely run off at the back - showing wire...it was a show and tell and we were informed we're lucky the tyres didn't burst and rolled the car. The alignment was severely, severely out that it came under question if it was even really done - the stabiliser arms don't lookl ike a new part and old scres and bolts were definitely used to put in the "new" parts. I immediately contacted the branch manager/supervisor and go little to not response from him other than a photo claiming the alignment was done. I sent all the images of under the car, the part that looks like an old part, the old nuts and *****s that was in the "new" part, wheel alignment report showing every single thing shows RED and absolutely no response about that. To this day, I've reached out several times since and never once has anyone asked me to bring my car back so they can look at what the issue was with their work. Brand new tyres not even 3months old at the time completely damaged on the first long road trip. We had to cancel all our paid bookings and plans because we didn't want to travel anywhere anymore since our vacation was completely ruin still just on the way to our destination. Coming back, it took us 2 and a half days drive back to Potch since we had to drive so slow afraid the tyres will burst. The most disappointing part is the absolutely no response since form HI-Q Potchefstroom...nothing - two and a half month later. My G6 has been parked off since we got home - 2 months just standing in th garage - brand new tyres GONE due to their negligence and nothing from them to try and rectify anything. Don't get the wrong, the customer service was top notch but the work on my car has been the worst. It's scary cause I have seen at least 1 review that the exact same thing happened to someone else...brand new tyres ruined cause of issues with the alignment done by Hi-Q Now I'm sitting with a G6 in the garage that I can't drive cause I'm too afraid of the back tyres while my front tyres are still completely brand new.

I had a burst Tyre on the 26th of March 2025, I then went to Hi-Q Tyre and tube on 171 Greyling street In Pietermaritzburg on the 27th of March to get new Tyre. I got there, purchased my Tyre, they fitted it and I left. After having driven a very short distance I got a “loss of pressure” notification on the purchased Tyre. I went to the garage to get it checked out and was advised to go back to Hi-Q. I drove back to Hi-Q and was told that no there is nothing wrong with the Tyre, the system on my car just needs to be programmed, fine they did that then I left . Then towards the end of the day, I got the same notification again ! Went to the garage and to my surprise the newly purchased Tyre had a puncture. Decided to remove it and put on my sparewheel. I went back to Hi-Q on the 28th of March and was told that I had driven over a sharp object.(what a coincidence for the Tyre that had been purchased from them to be the only Tyre affected by the “sharp object”)Now I’m no Tyre expert but tell me how that “hole” is not visible on the outside but can only be seen on the inside of the Tyre. I then asked them to explain to me why when I had just driven out of their workshop I got a “loss of pressure” notification, I took the car back to them, why they didn’t bother doing a thorough check and not to just dismiss it as a system update issue? I further asked them, prior to installing the Tyre to a customers car, what quality assurance steps do they take to make sure the customer doesn’t get defaulted Tyres and was told no inspection is done because there is no need to inspect a new Tyre, then they turned around to say they didn’t inspect my Tyre because they heard me say I was abit pressed on time ! So just because a customer has said they are pressed on time that means you shouldn’t do your job efficiently??? Long story short, they then said there is nothing that can be done they will have to take the Tyre back to Goodyear for inspection to check if it was a factory fault, but my gut feeling tells me they won’t tell GoodYear was really transpired obviously because they are trying to maintain a good relationship with their suppliers. I am absolutely disgusted with the service I got there, I am expecting them to treat this matter with urgency.

I bought a car battery (Mazda CX-5) 5 months ago from Hi-Q in Rustenburg. The battery is now swelling and have taken it back to Hi-Q Rustenburg but they refused to take it back stating that they do not have guarantee on a battery that is swelling. If the swelling because it is a smaller size that was supposed to be their problem because they are the ones who sold me that battery and as service providers they were supposed to advise on the correct battery size. The guy who was assisting me was even rude. I do not recommend Rustenburg Hi-Q to anyone because they are friendly when selling and very rude is what you bought from them is faulty.

I bought two tyres 🛞 from Hi-Q Welkom on the 4th of October 2023. With an intention to buy two more for the back. To my surprise I haven’t even driven with the tyre 🛞 for a month. The tyre 🛞 has a damage on the side of which while I was driving I noticed that I have a flat and I stopped immediately to change it. Today 23 October 2023 I went to the brunch to lodge a complain to the manager because this product is not even a month old and already has a damage. The guy told me there is nothing he can do because I damaged the tyre 🛞 and he wasn’t there with me. His excuses were nonsense. He said it could have been a nail that went in and out. I asked how can a nail damage a tyre 🛞 on the side and not underneath? He tells me to claim from my insurance. My question followed when I buy a product doesn’t it come with a warranty or guarantee for a certain period? He said people abuse that. Kindly assist because I don’t believe that I was responsible. I bought a product and I expect it to replaced. I am not a tyre expert but I can tell this was not a result of a pothole or any object.

Went into claim against the already registered tyre insurance "tyrsurance" valid until April 2024. When wanting to claim for a damaged tyre, the feedback is that the service provider that handled the claims has fully closed and no claims can be processed. This at the time of purchase influenced the tyre and the service provider being Hi-Q. No concessions, no support offerred, no noticed. Last time I use hi-q. Not there when you need them most.

Hi q Port Shepstone branch misled us about their tyre warranty. Bought 2 sets of tyres and fitted them there. We were told to bring the tyres back if we have like pot hole damage etc they will change and give us a new tyre for free. Just after 4 weeks I hit a pot hole and took it there. They told me to pay 50%which they never told about when I bought the tyres. They now telling that I don't have a top up that will pay 100% of the damage which I was never told also. I don't recommend any one to buy tyres at HI-Q PORT SHEPSTONE BRANCH
