I bought two vehicles at Imperial Auto Auctions at their Germiston branch in February 2018. A deposit of R 5,000-00 per vehicle was required before the auction started. Thus enable you to participate in the auction. They say that you can leave the deposits with them or request it to be paid back to you. Their Service Level Agreement is that within one week after request, you will receive your money in your bank account. I've requested them in June 2018 for both my deposits( total R 10,000). Responsible person is Elsie Pitout. One deposit (R 5,000) was paid into my account. Thank you! On 11 July 2018, I started requesting my outstanding amount of R 5,000 via email... ********** She responded on 25-07-2018 with an email to inform me that I would receive the R 5,000 within one week. Nothing happened after a week. I sent numerous emails from 14-08-2018 till 3-09-2018 to Elsie Pitout. She never responded up to today with any answers. I am still being ignored till today. I tried to speak to her per telephone on 27-08-2018, but was put through to Phillip. He promised me to do a follow-up and said he will call me back the next day. Up till today, they both totally ignored me and didn't keep to their promises! What should I do next? Drive the nearly 200 km from my home to face them? Are their business in financial stress? Be careful all if you plan to do business with them at any given time...

Greetings Dear Sirs/Madam Dear Hannes Kindly note there was no paper delay stated on the day of the auction. You have enlightened me the vehicle is used as per the copy you provided me first with on day of the auction as attached at your perusal. Cannot accept this vehicle as now upon receiving the papers and it shows builtup this is code 3, as this was also not stated. This information being code 3 built up was not stated on the day of the auction. Where i distinctly asked Mr Hannes also Mr Lucky, and you provided a copy as attached showing used now when Mr Lucky delivered the papers it shows built up. I cannot accept this vehicle and need a refund. Have enlightened the insurance this is not a built up as you stated you only had a copy. After calling you today as the vehicle vin number and details was not reconciling. Upon receiving the originals today by Mr Lucky i found the information contrary and being deceived again. As this shows you lack business ethics, basic morals and scruples. How is it possible that you auction a vehicle not knowing the status used or built up. Hence not stipulating this either. Nor have you stipulated that theres no papers. Upon not wanting to take the vehicle as there was no papers nor was this stated. You than wanted to eat my deposit. Now its evident that i am due a refund based on being conned. Kind Regards

It is such a pleasure to be able to commend a business for their attitude towards customers and their own policies. Christiaan and staff at the Meadowdale outlet were amazing in their support and above all showed such integrity that we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you so much for all you did for us; so appreciated :-) Vivienne

The vehicle was smoking</p> <p>3. The vehicle was over heating</p> <p>4. The vehicle had smoke coming out of the engine</p> <p>5. The vehicle was leaking oil</p> <p> </p> <p>All the above was never displayed to the public and I raised the issue with the Auctioneer and they refused to consider my appeal.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have requested that they take the car back and give me something of the same value but they refused.</p> <p> </p> <p>The Law / Consumer Protection Act</p> <p>In South Africa the rights of the consumer are protected through legislation aptly named the Consumer Protection Act.
