I am extremely unhappy with the service I received from this panel beating company. My vehicle was towed to them after an accident because it was not drivable. When I collected my car, I discovered that my headlights no longer work — an issue that was not present before. Even more concerning, personal belongings that were inside my vehicle at the time of towing were missing when I retrieved it. I have photographic evidence taken by the towing operator showing these items inside my car prior to it arriving at the workshop. Despite raising this, the matter has not been resolved. I would strongly advise others to document everything carefully and think twice before using this business. I expected professionalism and care for my property, but unfortunately that was not my experience.

If you want shoddy repairs, go to Island Panel Brackenfell. Or if you only want to get your car back after three repair attempts. Or if you want to be treated like trash (called too stupid to understand the manager). I made the mistake - please don't you.

The Island Auto Panel Paarden Eiland their receptionist very friendly, communicates on WhatsApp. However their job is terrible their paint work is the worst I have seen, when I collected the car they parked in onnthe shade so i can not see the two colours. The car now has two colours premium silver and another silver. I couldn't even risk leaving the car in their because it took them 3 weeks to simply install new door and pain the area. They left white paint on the left passenger door, and near the tail light. I was gonna rate them Zero but the rating starts at 1 star. Don't ever go there. I was forced by insurance because they were cheaper.

My wife's vehicle was booked for service at Island Auto Brackenfell (by Momentum Insurance). Background - we struck a *** lightly with the right side of the car and so had to have the right front fender and headlight replaced. It took about a month to have the replacement done. Which is acceptable seeing that the vehicle is old and parts hard to come by. When we eventually got the vehicle back, I returned it to Island Auto as the driver's door would not lock anymore. It worked before I took it in. So I took the vehicle back and decided to wait and watch them repair. Lo and behold - right in front of my eyes, the repairman takes a *****driver and starts working on the door with bare metal and scratches the door right in front of my eyes! I called the shop manager - who was very friendly - and reported it to him, upon which he rep**** that they had the correct plastic tools right there to use, and he showed them to me. I told them to repair the scratch which they painted over right then and there. And they sorted the lock. However a while later at home upon opening the boot of the hatchback I noticed that the left hand shock for the hatch was torn out of the body. This was also in working condition when I took in the vehicle, so the only thing I can deduce is that if they are so negligent to scratch the car right in front of my eyes then they probably also tore out the rear shock. My warning is to anybody taking their vehicle to Island Auto Brackenfell is to do a complete check on your whole car because somehow areas not even remotely connected to the repair area may be affected. Atrocious albeit friendly service.

It has now been over a month, and I am still without a clear answer regarding the status of my vehicle's repair. The continued redirection between Discovery and Island Auto Panel Beaters is unacceptable. Discovery attributes the delay to Island Auto, while Island Auto claims they're waiting on the mechanic. This constant back-and-forth has left me in an infuriating state of limbo for nearly three weeks. The service from Island Auto has been non-existent and thoroughly sub-par. There has been no communication, no estimated time of arrival (ETA), and absolutely no proactive updates. I am constantly forced to call or WhatsApp for information, and even then, I frequently receive no answers. Frankly, I would not recommend Island Auto to anyone. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disruptive.

I am extremely disappointed with the service received from Island Auto Panel in Brackenfell. My vehicle was booked in on 24 March 2025, with an estimated repair time of 7 to 10 working days. It is now June, and I still do not have my car back. From the start, communication has been inconsistent and progress painfully slow. The vehicle sat in the disassembly bay for weeks, with repeated delays due to parts not arriving or being incorrect. Even after the correct headlamp finally arrived in early May, the process dragged on through panel beating, paint prep, and now assembly — with no clear completion date in sight. It feels like the workshop is either buying time or does not know what they are doing. I’ve had to follow up constantly, and despite some updates, there has been little sense of urgency or accountability. This has been a deeply frustrating experience, especially considering that this repair was authorized through Discovery Insure, and I had no say in choosing the repairer. This level of service is unacceptable. I would not recommend Island Auto Panel to anyone expecting timely and professional repairs.

The repair work seems ok... BUT: They stole (there might be more to find still) USB Cable, microfibre cloths, scissors, spanners. I can't even sue them because there's all the standard waiver stuff. I reported it to them but the receptionist wasn't at all concerned that they have ******* there. Now I'm wondering if they're the sort of place that *****s your original OEM parts and replaces them with junk. How would you ever know until something goes wrong? Definitely not a place to trust.
