I don't like to have to write the review of a business. I always try all possible means to resolve the matter amicably. However, iu and LIBF have shown me that no matter how reasonable you try to be, some businesses have simply a lack of respect. Perhaps I should warn others because on paper iu looks like a great prospect for a south African or a student in south Africa wishing to pursue studies at a german (iu) or UK (LIBF) institution. until you realise that the admission office is clueless. For the Masters in Data science, I provided Under grad, post grad quals including an MBA and doctoral courses done in the UK. I was then told that my advanced diploma in finance and post graduate diploma in finance are not Bachelors' equivalent, even though an institution catering for South African students would know the National Qualification framework which clearly specifies that advanced diplomas are bachelor equivalent and Post grad diplomas are honors equivalent. After providing the NQF in hope to clear up the misunderstanding, the institution refused to admit my application. LIBF chich was using the same whatsapp as iu for some reasons then requested a lettre as proof of employment and experience in data science, this was provided and all requirements for admission for a professional Masters should then be met. I have been waiting since and silence radio. From time to time after inquiring again on my application, I am asked to provide the same documents which were previosly requested. What on earth is wrong with these 2 institutions or the admission process. It is ridiculous that at the same time I am being given the rounds, other institutions such as the university of London and OPIT responded and admitted me without wasting my time. I am yet to receive a call or an explanation why these 2 institutions are behaving this way when handling applications from south africa.

After inquiring about the B.Sc Robotics I was told by my student advisor that I can make yearly payments which will have the additional benefit of a 2% discount and the graduation fee waived. After making the necessary arrangements to pay upfront yearly, I was informed that due to an error on the side of the University I can no longer pay yearly upfront and only pay my studies in full or monthly. The attitude towards the situation is "take it or leave it, we don't really care and we don't really need your money". I was left with no choice but to bul**** into taking the latter.

This University fails international students on **** like Formats and not content. They do not assist and just fail people close to the end of their payments. They take forever to respond to appeals and do not give any policies or reasons or processes. You skip one payment and they deregister you. Even if you pass 10 out of 11 subject and fail one subject they deregister you. I would not advise ANY SOUTH AFRICAN to fall for this nonsense . Its a money making nonsense. Do not even try to touch this place . you will waste your time and money. To be honest I think they may be ****ming international students through online degrees.

I've been enrolled in the bachelor of electrical engineering program with mixed experiences. Due to my work schedule I was not able to attend an in-class university and appreciated the fact that the program can be completed entirely online/ remotely, which is a great advantage. Some difficulties arise as writing formula heavy exams can be challenging, but the university has been understanding and accomodating. My experience with professors and tutors has been very positive (for the most part), as they are approachable, and very willing to help. I would gauge the level of instruction and the difficulty of the exams appropriate. There are two major concerns: As the IU is owned by a private equity company it does appear that courses are being offered pre-maturely to quickly generate income, hence with incomplete and flawed scripts as well as incomplete course material. This has led to a lot of frustration as understanding certain formulas can be challenging just to find out that the script itself is incorrect. Instructors inform students that basically more support would be required to fix all the mistakes but it appears the university is not allowing for an appropriate budget. Also, it does appear that support offerings are profit driven, as live sessions are offered only sporadically for smaller courses. Live lectures are either not available at all or offered only sporadically and recordings are quickly being deleted. As a result students are left to sort through challenging and incomplete scripts with little guidance in an ambitious time frame. If you are in for a challenge with frustrating moments and are bound to study remotely, the IU is an option. However, being aware of the downsides is crucial prior to embarking on this journey. Luckily youtube offers lectures from other providers to help sift through content.

This place is so scared of bad publicity that they are removing reviews on Hellopeter, not sure why but be assured they are only interested in money and do not care about anything else, unfortunately I cannot share all the details as they seem to be connected deeper than the transparent review platform I thought this was. Their online consultants do not want to assist but rather bully prospective students with very bad English and punctuation, with an even worse attitude. It is a pity that the truth cannot be seen by the world as they seemingly have ways to maneuver through bad publicity, it now makes sense why the consultant should not be more bothered when they assisted me earlier today.

This institution is obsessed with money and are unable to provide prospective students with decent information. Before even saying "Hi" to me I got this message. 180-ECTS - Final tuition fees after the 67% scholarship Full-time/ 36 months: € 192/month (in total € 6.926) Part-time I/ 48 months: € 161/month (in total € 7.746) Part-time II/ 72 months: € 124/month (in total € 8.910) They claim to be an internationally recognized institution yet their advisors do not use basic language skills prior to me threatening to post a review on here. Arrogant and disrespectful is probably a summarized version of my encounter with the specific advisor. I would not advise you to ask them anything, if it is not clear on their website and you do not have money to waste rather move past. You will just end up being disappointed as they are not trying to assist. Below is the full conversation.
