Received the wrong order and contacted the store immediately after delivery. My message was opened but ignored because the store was closed, and no one followed up the next day. I paid for delivery, yet I was later told that I should have driven to the store to return the food in order for it to be corrected — despite the store being closed and unreachable at the time. That expectation is unreasonable. Because the food was already eaten, I was told nothing could be done, even though I had tried to resolve the issue immediately and had no other option. The only resolution offered was R15 credit on a future order. Poor customer service, poor accountability, and an unwillingness to take responsibility for their own mistake. I will not be ordering again. If this order was place on uber eats i would have received a refund not a R15

I had an awful experience with this restaurant on Tuesday, 29 April 2025 at 1:45 PM. The sushi that arrived through a delivering service was pale. it looked old as if they took it out the freezer and mashed it together like mince and expect it to be salmon unappetizing to say the least, and looked nothing like what was advertised — truly poor quality. I felt completely let down. I reached out to them to let them know and they requested my details and a copy of the slip which I presented and forwarded to them up until this day no response money wasted. nonchalant responses on Facebook. no urgency to resolve this I'm writing this to warn others: do not trust the quality or the customer service of this place.

So Claremont branch. The worst branch ever. The first time I got food poisoning as the crunch was not fried properly and broke apart while trying to pick it up. He batter was raw. We bought this for a company. Then the boss said they apologized let's get poke bowls next time. That cannot be messed up. The rice in the poke bowl was bland. The prawns was bland. I messaged to say once again only for the lady working there to say so sorry thanks for the feedback we will let the chefs know we are sorry we getting new chefs trained and new owners blah blah blah If I was an influencer it would be a total different case as I know all the managers and owners and the chefs and I often support Athlone branch.

So I have been a very loyal customer to the J&S sushi restaurant in Athlone, and spent tons of money. This is now the second time I place an order directly with them and it my order gets damaged. I send them pictures and all I get is a “we are humbly sorry”. Best believe if I was an influencer my order would have been free, because that is where there marketing comes from majority of the time. I am so upset with their putrid services.

The Person whose taking orders at J&S is extremely rude and unprofessional! they take 30min to respond to a simple question and has a don't care attitude, I will no longer be supporting J&S service is Pathetic!
