I bought a voucher from daddy's deals and gave it as a gift to a friend, and I also bought three vouchers directly from them. My friend kept calling and emailing them wanting to make an appointment but they also referred her to a lady in Fourways. She still hasn't used that voucher. I still have the three vouchers I never got the chance to use because my appointment was for August and they postponed it to September. September came and left and I was told they were still doing renovations. I kept calling and all I heard was sorry but we still renovating. I called one day and spoke to Connie in Fourways and she told me she only does the massage. I told her I wanted the whole treatment because I paid for it. She told me she would get Maggie to call me. Maggie still hasn't called back. The landline doesn't exist anymore and the cell number they gave doesn't work either.. I am beyond angry, I spent allot of money and just for them to do this disappearing act isn't cool at all.

I bought a Daddy's Deal spa package for 2 in May 16. I phoned and booked for the 6th of Aug. A week after I booked they phoned me to confirm my appointment. Something came up and I contacted the spa to move my appointment only to be told that they are renovating the spa and that the spa will be closed the whole of Aug. Oh and they couldnt find my original booking. I amended the date till the 17th of Sep (today). We arrived at the spa and waiting for some one to arrive. No one came. I phoned the nr, its diverted to a lady on Fourways. The spa is still closed for renovations and again she doesnt know anything about my booking. So I wasted R500 for nothing.

my husband and I arrived at this run down spa on time, we were left unattended to for 40 minutes, evenutally this rude so called owner said you are late for your treatments, after we explained that we were there on time, she just rushed us through to the treatment rooms, the treatments were apaulling to say the least and we were done in one and half hour not what was on the Groupon we purchased. we left there feeling dirty and thirsty because we were not even offered anything to drink. If anyone had purchased a Groupon or daddys deal I suggest you get a refund immediately dont bother going there.

I am writing today to complain of the poor service I received from this company on August 05, 2016. I spoke to one of the representative of Kalahari Day Spa – Randburg.

If I recall I spoke to Samantha if corrected confirming my appointment for August 06, 2016 for 10:00am, I told her that my husband had spoken to Lulu since we both struggled to get through, and said that I could not come but they have their Grand Opening so I could rather come Saturday at 16:00pm or on Sunday, I of course said no to my husband and therefore phoned myself since I have waited since May 2016. I was offered nothing by way of apology when I phoned, the lady started to scream at me nonstop like I was a dog of some sort, and told me they are renovating and no one will be there and she will not refund me and I have to ask Daddy’s Deals to pay me back and refused and that Lulu has nothing to do with making decisions and just kept on screaming that I had to drop the phone. We ended our conversation after minutes without either of us having accomplished anything.

I am most annoyed that I wasted a month’s looking forward to this day (and whole day's phoning and fighting). My impression of That Awful Company called Kalahari Day Spa that is supposed to bring relaxation, brought me tons of headache instead it has been tarnished, and I am now concerned about how many clients to be will be treated by this place. Furthermore, Samantha/Lulu’s inability to notify and handle this professionally has meant that I have had to cancel other events of more importance because I was told from day one this is the only available opening they have.

This was such a terrible ordeal I was so excited as I have been waiting since May because they were so overbooked apparently and had to run the promotion past August. Their No is ********** / ********** / 011 ********** / 011 ********** / 060 or ********** and Email: **********
I trust this is not the way Kalahari Day Spa wishes to conduct business with valued customers— I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn of how you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully
Sanlie Olivier

I was recently given a Groupon voucher for the Kalahari Day Spa at no. 28 Grey Villea Str in Meyersdal. To start with, I had to chase after the owner on her cell and eventually after numerous telephone calls I was able to book. Upon arrival at the house in Meyersdal from which the 'spa' is run, there was not a soul in sight. Elena was late for my appointment and I was left waiting on the pavement until she arrived 15mins late. I was asked to wait at the pool area, ( pool was black with algae), while she sorted herself out. The 'spa' room was freezing cold and no preperation was made for my treatment. The towels smelled like pet blankets, and the gown i was given to wear was filthy and stank. My face was steamed for about 45 mins and then I was wiped with ice cold water and a mouldy smelling sponge and my face smothered in oil! that was my 'facial'. My pedicure and manicure consisted of a cheap nail polish which bearly coated my nails and a quick file. I am appalled with my visit to this Spa, and the service received from Elena, who claims to have 27 years of experience in the beauty industry. This company has robbed me of R 780 for my disgusting treatments and it is not acceptable.

I bought a voucher through Daddy's Deals in December. Did my booking via email and received confirmation thereof. On my arrival, I was told that I had no booking and that the person who made the booking used the another persons email and HAS SINCE LEFT. I was told I should have phoned before going there. They weren't very accommodating and definitely quite rude. I told them that I am going to report this to Hello Peter and Ms Hajera Kirkwood said I can do what I like, there is nothing she can do about it.

Another appointment was re-scheduled for 12 March 2016 at 9.00am, by Ms Hajera Kirkwood, WHOM I BELIEVE HAS ALSO LEFT. I received a phone Friday 11th March 2016 that Daddy's Deals \oversold\" and therefore they cannot accommodate my booking for the 12th of March.

I am now waiting for my refund from Daddy's Deals."

26/02/2016: I am shocked, stunned & robbed! Bought a supposedly Full day spa package from Groupon, took a day's leave from a busy job to unplug off of the system and enjoy a day of pampering. Left home early to avoid the traffic, arrived at the supposed oasis of pampering which turned out to be a decrepit old house turned business, told to move my car as I was taking up 2 parking spaces and was soon done in all of an hour and a half! One facial (therapist turned up late) and one massage. Went to reception and asked if \that was it?\" and with the response being \"Yes\", I left. This vendor has no client centricity whatsoever. The voucher charged at R609, lists the total services value at R1820. I have been to much better upmarket venues where clients are prized. Not so much as a glass of water was offered! Shocking daylight robbery. I closed my Groupon account today as I hold the company responsible for fronting charlatans and passing them off to consumers. I still want my refund of R609.00!!"

I noticed that I am not the only one on Hello Peter with the same complaint against Kalahari Day Spa re Groupon Vouchers. They have had me going back & forth trying to secure a booking for a deal I had bought in November, for a full day spa treatment for two people. They are always \fully booked"& then can only accommodate you on a weekday. They very conveniently ask you when you call if this is cash or a groupon voucher"
