Stay away from Chipboard City Parow
Dealt with a guy named Clint over whatsapp, sent my cutting list and hardware required (all on 1 page) to them via whatsapp. Rep**** and said the amount was R***x, i paid it, then sent him the proof of payment. After that, i confirmed 3 times if everything is included, to which he rep**** yes. I then asked for the receipt, only to find out that the hardware was not included. When i asked him why it wasn't included, he simply rep****, "sorry, human error". I went down there today and tried to sort it out, but Clint is so 'non-sholont", i then requested to speak to the Manager, her name is Meloney, she had no idea what was going on. I explained the issue to her, again, not helpful at all, just says she can't give anything that is not on the invoice... after expalining to her that the invoice was only written 2 days after payment was made - she never attempted to resolve the issue at all. If i was the owner... i would be very concerned about my business in these people's hands... ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!

Excellent Customer Service
Me & my family was at King Cake Party City Kenilworth Centre last weekend & the customer service we received from Zinethia was fantastic. When you can make me laugh that is half the job done. WOW that is what I can say. She made the trip to the store extra special just in all round attitude in assisting the customer. We walked out with a big smile, customer service at the best level you can get Thank you Zinethia for your excellent customer service.

Excellent Customer Service
Me & my family was at King Cake Party City Kenilworth Centre last weekend & the customer service we received from Zinethia was fantastic. When you can make me laugh that is half the job done. WOW that is what I can say. She made the trip to the store extra special just in all round attitude in assisting the customer. Amazing Service
I would like to thank the team at King Cake Party City for assisting me with the cake requested. You made up for a previous mishap as promised. The cake was a hit and everyone complimented the design. It was exactly what I requested. The taste was amazing too. Thank you again. The bakery never disappoints. I will continue to use you in future.

Bad Business Ethic
Ordered a cake for my sister's 50th birthday this weekend and paid a deposit and proof of payment was sent to the customer liaison but when I went to collect it at the Kenilworth store, there was no cake. Spent a long time waiting in the store while they discussed telephonically with the bakery whether the email was sent by the customer liaison. I was very disappointed with their business ethic. Also, no back up cakes offered in these cases and no formal apology since.

Nothing personal. Just felt offended by their behavior. Ladies should really work on their client skills. It's all good to have fun with your clients,However there's a limit. Was trash-talked upon by a employee and her store visiting friend on Friday. All because myself and my colleague was not satisfied with what was on offer/our options. Let me tell you one thing, it doesnt matter how old you are, ANYONE will smile when you get a delivery of 38 balloons filled with helium :-D Thank you so much to Party City for the amazing job at delivering on time and having fabulous service, even during lockdown! You helped me to create a birthday for my partner that he says he will never forget.

Refund declined.
I purchased an "adult, one size" tutu from King Cake in Parklands. I was rushed and this store happened to be closest, so I paid the R150 that they ask for a tutu. I experienced friendly service and everything was fine. I got home and realised the tutu is really quite small and will not fit most people. I had to leave town for a while and decided to return it when I got back. Upon returning to the store, I was immediately informed that they could not refund me due to their 7-day policy. It has been 13 days since my purchase. I explained that I could not return earlier, but I was not accommodated. There was no attempt to assist. Really super disappointed that their policy is more important than their customers. Would anyone like a tutu for their toddler?
