Please don’t use Kurt. He placed in a new sink for me but didn’t complete the work. When I tried to follow up with him he does not answer his phone and does not respond to messages. Because he is contracted by insurance companies you think you can trust him- I paid him his money upfront as he gave me a sad story about clients owing him money. He did not complete the work and now I have a leak in the piping and he can not be contacted to come fix it.

The service was facilitated by Santam and Europ Assistance, with Kurt from K&R as the assigned technician. The repair process extended beyond two weeks, and despite assurances of a fully functional machine, issues persisted immediately upon delivery. The machine exhibited concerning noises and failed to complete a single light load. Kurt’s commitment to a same-day inspection was unfulfilled, leading to days of silence before he attributed the malfunction to an unverified motor issue, contradicting his initial diagnosis. Subsequent inspection by an alternative provider revealed the alleged replaced part was missing, raising serious concerns about K&R’s practices. It appears that K&R, under Kurt’s management, may be exploiting the trust between customers and their insurers for deceptive purposes. Customers are advised to exercise caution when dealing with K&R Appliance Repair due to potential *****ulent activities.

Integrisure contracted them to come and look at my fridge that does not get cold. They came out 3 times to try and fix the fridge but could not get it right. They then logged a claim with Integrisure. I have been trying to get info from Kurt from K&R on several occasions. When I do eventually get hold of him, he keeps on telling me that he will come back to me but with NO response. fridge is still not fixed since middle of November 2023.

Kurt from K&R was appointed by AON Home Assist to attend to my fridge not cooling due to the recent spate of load shedding. First red flag was he promised to contact me on the initial day of my log being the 11th. At 5pm AON called me to ask if he had attended of which he did not. They eventually got a hold of him of which he advised he would attend the next day. On the 12th he arrived and looked at my fridge and advised my wife that he would give us feedback on the Friday or Monday latest. After numerous attempts to reach Kurt he finally answered my call on Friday at 12.41pm and advised he was sick but would give me an answer an hour later. It’s now almost 24hrs later after sending him numerous messages for follows up and the guy completely ignores you. Poor service from a provider that has been registered with a reputable insurance company and is now dragging their reputation through the dirt. Really pathetic that people have such lack of customer service especially that of a business owner that would only survive on customer’s satisfaction.
