For all your tequila shot needs, this is definitely the place to be. They have an endless menu of all kinds of tequila you can think of. Even a shot of roughly R350, imagine??? The staff was super friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend. (Waterkloof Glenn)

I ordered valentines dinner for my hubby and I and the food was soo awful. I don't even know where to begin. The food was cold and didn't have any flavor even tho we ordered and came to collect 15 minutes later. The cheese on the burrito was plasted on the top of it and covered in sauce. Everything was cold and tasted like it was cooked 2 days ago. If a Mexican restaurant flops a burrito, there really is no hope. Don't charge your customers if u can't deliver proper food.

For very many Durbanites authentic Mexican food akin to the images on the television, of fiesta-style fare is an experience many wishes to personally experience. For whatever reason in my mind, the thought of Mexican food conjures up the images of large families coming together, to indulge in copious amounts of very flavorful and spicy offerings. Coupled with the perpetuation that Mexican food is a budget-friendly fare that caters to one’s every whim. For a while now many locals have not been privy to the existence of such an establishment in Durban, South Africa. The few that do know of La Rosa Mexican Grille at Suncoast Durban, seem to want to keep this to themselves. I believe such finds are worth blabbing about to all and sundry because supporting local establishments is my forte. From the moment you walk through the door the vibrant sounds of sound system assault the senses and you find yourself transfixed. All around you talented artists seem to have captured a piece of Mexico with bold illustrations that transport you. The decor speaks to the overall vibe of the place rich in colours and textures, so much so that one almost forgets you are there for the food and the promise of a taste sensation like no other. At that very moment I realised, standing there taking in everything, why they were voted Best Experiential Restaurant in Durban. Additionally they were also voted second best restaurant in Durban. I tell you this so that when you venture to Durban, South Africa you remember to add this to your itinerary. If one is to truly experience the taste of Mexico one simply has to order the Fajitas. It arrives on a piping hot skillet filled with sizzling chicken or beef strips, sitting on top of a bed of sautéed peppers and onions, micro greens and fresh lemon, flanked by spicy rice. Accompanying that is fresh salsa, guacamole, sour cream and grated cheese. The flour tortillas having been freshly made are served separately in a closed container to retain their freshness. As you breathe in the mouth watering dish before you and build your own fajita you feel your taste buds come alive. An explosion of flavors and textures in every bite and you already decide you are coming back for more taste sensations such as this. You promise yourself to eat until you are full but tend to keep digging into the yummy goodness before you. If you are anything like me you even convince yourself that you can replicate the components. Truth be told this authentic Mexican fare is best experienced here. Try if you must to replicate but know that the signature tastes come from a kitchen that has truly taken pains, to ensure your delight in every bite. You may find you simply want to tell everyone and no one. Everyone cos you enjoy it so much and no one because you want to keep this dining experience for yourself. I could go into detail about the more than ample bar facilities, and menu items as well as the ambience but I figure I have to leave just enough to the imagination. Go in search of this taste of Mexico in Durban, South Africa. You simply must experience this sometime if only to let others know you have finally tasted authentic Mexican food outside of Mexico.

Seriously Le Rosa? Asking a table of 23 year olds for ID and then proceeding to tell my wife that if she can't produce ID she will have to leave? We actually spent quite a lot of money here tonight and I don't feel you deserved our support. This is my second 1 star to Le Rosa - your customer service and food quality simply does not not align with what you expect people to pay for food and drink. I have never had a good experience here with management.

La Rosa- Suncoast usually delivers amazing service and exceptional food. This time however, could not get any worst. I made a booking for a table for two for 7pm for outside seating preferably with a view since it was date night but due to the protesting we were running late. I called to advise that we will be late and requested that they keep a space for 2 for 8pm. We were seated in an isolated part of the restaurant on a four seater high table not far from a group of people celebrating a birthday. We could not even sit comfortably together and have a proper conversation since the table was high and in the corner of the resteraunt. We ordred our meals as we already knew what we wanted. Firstly our blueberry margarita jug arrived and it was loaded with alcohol. So much that we could not even sip it. We took out a glass worth and requested they add in more lemonade and we'll pay for it. They emptied out 3 quarters of the jar and added in lemonade until it reached half of the jug. A R210 jug seemed like it was worth R50 max. There was no need to remove so much when we are partying for it. Secondly our food arrived 1 hour 40 min late. I asked for hard shell tacos but got soft ones. The waiter was nowhere to be found and a manager was in site. After a lot of waving around he came and rectified the mistake but then i had to wait again for the meal. Presentation was very untidy and it was made anyhow. I've had this before and know the standard that it should come in. We had a few tequilas and ended up asking for a take away and left. Our bill came to R800 but the food and service was definitely not worth R800.
