I was bought a leatherman surge for my birthday, had it shipped from America. I opened up my gift to find that the product had rust around the pliers and the blades were covered in blood. I sent an email in and the reply I got showed the company was uninterested in helping with the reply basically being: "just send it back". It didn't take long for the one blade to get stuck so it cannot flick out and other parts to rust. So I must now spend more money to send the product back to America even though I should have received a new condition product to begin with? My family have sworn by leatherman, every person in my family owns one but after this we are all moving to another brand.

I've order a LEATHERMAN Signal Nylon Sheath Aqua One Size knife on the 3 May 2023 through the Trekk inn (Powered by Tradeinn) Website. I've paid R3203.98 in total. I've tracked my shipping every week on the app they provided and on 7 June 2023 it updated "The item has arrived in the country of destination" and I was waiting for the delivery. When I went to the app again 0n 13 June 2023 it was updated " The item cannot be delivered and will be returned" and from there on no updates and no delivery and no reason for returning this order! I've been sending mails, do live chats on Trekk inn website and the only reply I'm getting is, they are busy with investigation and I must wait. If I don't follow up, no emails or no updates from them! This service is really giving Leatherman not a good name, because I've order this knife through Trekk inn website and no delivery and communication service at all!!!! It is almost 4 months now!!! This is really the worst service ever!

Hi I sent my leatherman surge for repairs, I used a post net courier service. I was prepared to pay the R150.00 repair fee as I believe the damage was caused by my abuse of a wonderful tool, I was extremely delighted and happy to receive a brand new leatherman surge delivered by courier to my door step free of charge what wonderful fantastic service, I cant believe it. regards Ian

I purchased my leatherman wave 5yrs ago.I bought it with the 25yr warranty peace of mind.I took it over the weekend to cape union mart to have it serviced as it the mechanism were practically jamming or seizing up. i was told to pay a r250 courier fee and that leatherman would assess service /repair and send me an account accordingly. This is a terrible service,how do you promise a warranty during purchase then change your policy thereafter.

Leatherman What a disgrace you now have to pay for repairs and service what about your 25 years warranty? Wait 4 to 8 weeks for the repairs? Why pay so much then Bought a new leatherman because i can't wait that long and broke it in the first day and it's not abuse because the cheapest *****driver finished the job Phoned leatherman sa and told them my story they don't want to replace it i must pay again and send it away again? Thanks leatherman for convincing me to never bye from you again

Have been using leatherman tools for the last 10 years. Went to give my leatherman and knives in at outdoor warehouse for a repair and service. Lady told me they have changed their policy. 1. You have to pay for each product its own courier 2. There's a handling fee on each one 3. If there's any thing broken you have to pay for the repair exstra So what does your warranty cover and we're is the customer service gone? Just buy any cheap brand multi tool if it breaks just throw it away

I bought my fiance a Leatherman Rebar for Christmas 2020. A week after having it, it was fully rusted. We took it back to the store (Cape Union Mart) and they gave us the display one which has already been out of packaging for a while and didn't show any signs of rust. Then, a month later, the tip of the flat ***** driver broke off while loosening a *****. So I take it back to the store again and today I receive a call saying I have to PAY for the tool to be replaced!! How the hell is that service??? I'll tell you that it's **** service! Where the hell does the so called 25 warranty come in when you don't even want to replace your own faulty product?? So apparently this is a new thing that they charge a few which to me, says that they clearly get a lot Leathermans with broken tools and now they want to make even more money off it, even though it's their own faulty product! Somewhere along the line Leatherman compromised A LOT on their quality and are now using a bunch of **** materials to save on costs but make way more money. So sad that you are now manufacturing such a **** product! So you can refund me in full and throw that piece of **** in the bin along with your ridiculous quotation!
