Horrific Experience I was ******* fooled into paying nearly R8000 for 8 people when we were only 6 told system mixed up that amount be adjusted in the morning we ended up in a converted garage nothing like it shows on internet bad area busy street we were made to stay in a ramshackle place no electricity fridge hot no TV no plugs no hot water i was standing in pouring rain lodge reception won't open to even help with boiling water. Gravely dissappointed I sat all night in stale smelling room ****toaches black mould in bathroom, never got into bed exhausted next morning was promised a partial refund though a full refund should be given it has been days no reaction I was ****** literally ******. Stay away the theme old Elvis kitch furniture and cheap carpets that smell really bad.Thuys De Lange it's a shame that all your staff have to apologize for your refusal to address the grave situation that THEY HAVE TO SAY SORRY ON YOUR BEHALF !!!!SHAME ON YOU

Title: Disappointing Stay - False Adverti*****t I recently booked an overnight stay at Leaves Lodge & Spa in Mbombela (Nelspruit), Mpumalanga through Booking.com, anticipating a serene and delightful experience based on the website's adverti*****t. Sadly, my expectations were shattered due to the stark contrast between the online portrayal and the reality of the lodge. Let me elaborate. 1. False Representation: The photos and descriptions on Booking.com bore little resemblance to what I encountered. "The luxurious suite showcased online was in fact a room with a broken cupboard, a hand shower that leaked from the back, thank the lord we had our scuba gear or we would’ve probably drowned. The bar fridge had one small bottle of water for two adults, the touch of filter coffee granules was great, but it does become difficult when you have to chew the coffee as there was no plunger or at least a strainer. The restaurant was closed and I was informed that I was welcome to order from a food delivery service in the area – WOW! 2. Customer Service: To make matters worse, when we were approached by the lodge's service manager on duty (The following morning) (Sydney) regarding these issues, we were met with indifference. Their unwillingness to acknowledge or address the discrepancies was deeply frustrating. A simple apology or attempt to rectify the situation would have gone a long way. Instead, they shifted the blame entirely onto Booking.com. Despite the possibility of outdated or incorrect information on third-party platforms, the lodge is accountable for truthfully representing its offerings through their partnership. It's extremely frustrating not only to be misled but also to witness a lack of ownership from the service provider. Whether the fault lies with Leaves Lodge & Spa or Booking.com, as a customer, I expected transparency and integrity from both entities. Future travelers, please be cautious and seek multiple sources of information before booking. I hope both Leaves Lodge & Spa and Booking.com take this feedback to heart and work towards providing a more honest and accurate representation of properties.

I booked at leaves lodge and spa for 6ladies for my birthday and booooy was I disappointed.. I would never ever recommend anyone to even try to book there. My booking didn't go well and they refuse to refund me.. I paid a deposit of R3000. 00 on the 1st August 2023 for the 30th September 2023 unfortunately there was a huge back and forth regarding my payment, the lady confirmed my booking and said that my payment is cleared and that everything is fine, all rooms are secured then days later I received an email telling me that there's no payment and that all the rooms are not secured😞.. Boooy was I disappointed anyways after days of going up with them they found my payment and eventually updated their system and sent me the updated statement so I asked if they could refund my money because I'm no longer interested in staying there... They called to offer me what they call an "upgrade" only problem was that the upgrade was actually a down grade compared to the rooms I booked, they said they don't want to lose me as a client however they didn't make anything easy for me to accept the house/offer they gave me, my guest won't be served dinner because they don't prepare dinner on weekends, I can't have a mobile the****** to come do massages for my group. I'm sure you all wondering why couldn't I book spa at the hotel, I tried but unfortunately the spa manager was rude over the phone so I was even scared to continue.. Anyways Leaves lodge and spa didn't attach any cancelation terms/conditions in all invoices or emails yet they say the owner will only release 50% of my money and keep the rest as credit incase next time I want to sleep there😁😁😁🤣🤣.. I said I don't ever want to go there because they are so disorganized it's crazy, I had to ask for an updated statement, go up and down with them regarding my payment, spa disappointed me and the upgrade they offered was actually a downgrade so I asked them to cancel my booking and refund me but unfortunately they refuse to give me my money back. I have it in writing that they approved to pay me back but until now I haven't received a cent. And according to what I know this was not a late cancelation and they wronged me now they don't want to release my money back and what's worse is that they don't want me to speak to the owner directly, they keep hiding him and coming up with lies after lies, if it they cared the owner would atleast called me. ...

Cannot believe that this accommodation can be called a 5 star facility. My review ii from the viewpoint of the house next door. Evey weekend,long weekend and public holiday this Lodge explodes with noise ,drunken guests ,vehicles racing around the neighbourhood, loud music , ladies of the night slinking in and out of their gates ...Absent management... This post is a warning to the guests that woild like to stay at a decent institution, or bring their families....THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU...you will have no or very little sleep for the other guests will be up making a noise till early hours...actually till 4 or 5 in the morning.We cannot believe that any other guests...not there to drink and make noise will be able to sleep.

I've had a horrific experience staying at Leaves Lodge & Spa while on a business trip with three of my colleagues. We'd booked one night's stay bed & breakfast. 1st incident - While waiting to have dinner, we ordered drinks only to find they didn't have any sparkling water, any juice (they offered us kiddies boxed juice as an alternative) or any bottled water. The service was very slow, only two staff were on duty that evening, the chef and the waiter who informed us there was no manager on duty that evening. We decided to go have dinner at the local Spur instead. 2nd incident - We tried to address the previous night's dinner incident with the manager on duty who ignored it completely and moved on to the breakfast orders. 3rd incident - I hurt my toe on the corner of the shower that morning and needed a first aid kit. I tried calling reception, the room's phone was dead so I had to limp to reception for assistance. The manager on duty informed me that the first aid kit was locked and we had to wait for one of their staff members to arrive later to open it. I limped back to my room to wait. Upon arrival at my room the manager noticed some blood splatters on one of the towels from the bathroom I'd used stepping out when I got injured. He became quite agitated, stating that he'd charge me for linen damage and he assumes I wouldn't have used towels had I been in my own home! I said I'd pay for the linen but his behavior was quite shocking seeing as I'm injured and noted his lack of empathy. At this point he marched, uninvited to the bathroom and started pointing at tissues stating I could've used those instead of damaging the linen! Then he said "You people just like to complain". I asked him what he meant by that statement as I'm a young black woman and him being an older white male. He ignored my question about his racist comment and said he'd never encountered any problems with my company before, "Do you want my help or not?" He asked. I told him I preferred to be assisted by someone else to which he said they were understaffed, he'd made an exception coming in to serve us and stormed out of the room. I waited, thinking he'd send someone to assist with my injury but no one came. I limped back to reception and called one of my colleagues for assistance who went to speak to the manager on duty who was then just nonchalant about the incident and had just continued with his work after storming out of my room earlier. We then packed up and left the establishment.

This is by far the worst spa experience in my entire life!!!! The lady that massaged applied way too much pressure even though I told multiple times she was hurting me, they did not my medical condition as a lupus patient, she was rude, unprofessional and was not empathetic to my plight, lets even talk my eyebrow tint, the lady complained about my ethnic eyebrows and how difficult they are to shape compared to Caucasian brow horrified at how they look she could even wax and shape them accordingly even a 5 year old could done a better job do not waste your money on this spa horrendous!!

I booked on 26 September 2020 using booking.com and needed to enter my card details. I then called and was told that they cannot accommodate me. At 19:39pm they took the money from my account. I called and sent an e-mail and they told me that they will not refund my money and that I should refer to refer to their cancellation policy. I wanted to stay at this place but they said they can’t accommodate me and for this reason I had to find other accommodation. So they have basically stole my money and I am out of pocket for R2169.00. Thieves!!!

the rooms are not as advertised on their website, there is a lingering stink in the rooms and reception area, no view, and very unwilling to accommodate the moving of booking dates, so you loose your money. I do not think this establishment is very well run.
