I had a very disappointing experience with Life Day Spa Century City. I booked a Swedish massage online the evening before my appointment and paid the required 50% deposit. On the morning of my booking, I called to confirm, only to be met with extremely poor customer service. I was told that my deposit had not been received, despite me sending clear proof of payment via WhatsApp at the manager’s request. The spa later claimed they could not find my booking and insisted that I must have booked with another branch. This was frustrating and misleading, as my bank transaction clearly reflects payment made to the Century City branch. The customer service, including from the manager, was unprofessional. I was told the staff member I initially spoke to was “in training,” which does not excuse the lack of accountability or resolution and is not the customer’s responsibility. To date, no one has followed up with me regarding my deposit, and I have been forced to approach my bank to dispute the payment due to the spa’s failure to resolve the matter. Overall, this experience showed poor communication, lack of professionalism, and no regard for the customer. I would not recommend this branch based on how this situation was handled.

I visited Life Day Spa Century City on Friday, 13 June, for what was meant to be a relaxing afternoon — a Mother’s Day gift from my husband. I booked a series of treatments including a Hollywood wax, rasul, and massage. Unfortunately, what should have been a self-care experience turned into a painful and upsetting ordeal. The waxing the****** made inappropriate, shaming comments about my body and seemed visibly irritated from the outset. Mid-treatment, she accidentally cut me down there during trimming aggressively. I had to stop the session due to the pain and bleeding. I reported the incident to the hostess (Aunty Avril - who is a star!!!), who was very compassionate and reported it to management. She then came back and confirmed that management is dealing with it — but no management approached me at the spa. No apology. No incident report. No follow-up. After emailing management, I received a brief acknowledgment and a vague note about handing it over to their insurers. That was it. No check-in on my wellbeing. No explanation of what would be done internally. No human concern. The most disappointing part? Not the injury — but the lack of care. Life Day Spa brands itself as a premium wellness experience, yet they failed on the most basic levels of compassion, communication, and accountability. I’ve had to seek medical care to ensure the injury heals properly. I had hoped this would be taken more seriously. Sadly, it seems like once I walked out the door, so did their responsibility.

Besides that I'm a member which equates to really nothing at this spa. The waiting area feels like weird and uncomfortable at times because it's so busy that you standing or sitting really close to someone else that is also half naked under a gown. Everything is full and noisy. It's the opposite of the****utic. The treatments are average. I do want to mention that Avril is such a pleasant person....thank you for your attention.

I booked for 2 treatments and walked out after 1st one as I was forgotten in the waiting area. I sat for 30.minutes and was then told they were trying to find the the******. No staff offered water even while I sat there. Before and after the 1st trestment the the****** just tried to sell me add ons and face creams. Worst experience. Nobody managing.

This is a review purely based on my interaction with Samantha Deerling at this establishment. She is the epitome of a professional and thoughtful client services representative. Not only did she make booking my appointment easy but she also expressed ways in which I could add to my package at reduced costs. She also reminded me that I could take advantage of the facilities at no cost and also updated my profile. What a treasure!

Pathetic and disgusting customer service! I had a facial done in June 2022. The facialist said she will email me the prescription and recommendations. I've been calling since then to obtain the prescription - only to be taken from pillar to post by the receptionists. Such a simple ask yet so difficult for them to fulfil! So disgusting and frustrating to waste my airtime every week calling for a prescription.
