Unstable business internet, useless technicians and unreliable service. Definitely choose a better ISP than this pathetic company! For months we have been having internet issues to the point where there is no internet connection at all for days! Internet connection is either off, intermittent or so slow at less than 2Mbps that it doesn't even load a simple webpage as Google. Numerous calls were logged through the weeks when the internet was badly affected, but to no avail. This company has little to no clue on what it takes to successfully ensure it's customers (businesses) are running 24/7. This major internet outage from this company is impacting business operations on a great scale and it's become evident that this is not a company anyone should use as their ISP.

Excellent ISP! They are by far the best ISP I have encountered. Very fast and friendly service, great tech support, and very transparent and honest policies. My previous ISP (Home Connect) secretly throttled my account even though they had no Fair Use Policy, but Macrolan's speeds are consistent, fast, and reliable! Love the service so far. Hope it continues like this.

Excellent ISP! They are by far the best ISP I have encountered. Very fast and friendly service, great tech support, and very transparent and honest policies. My previous ISP (Home Connect) secretly throttled my account even though they had no Fair Use Policy, but Macrolan's speeds are consistent, fast, and reliable! Love the service so far. Hope it continues like this.

I recently decided to get fibre at my home. After looking at all the available ISP's I decided to go with Macrolan. They covered ALL the once-off costs and answered their phones within a timely manner everytime, so that was a good sign. Filled in the paperwork and within a few days I was literally up and running with fibre. The thing that stands out with this ISP is that they go the extra mile. The Friday Vumatel installed my fibre I still needed to order my router from Macolan. I called in and asked wasn't there a way they could get the router to me that Friday, instead of waiting until Monday. Garth Hobbs immediately helped me and told me the router will be by my place Friday already configured and ready to plug in. He even added it to the delivery guy's schedule at the last minute. Delivery guy called me and gave me a time he would be by my place. He didn't let me down. Router was delivered in a wonderful Macrolan bag with a welcome note. Garth e-mailed me to inform me the router was on it's way and would be delivered that Friday. When asking numerous questions about the fibre product, Regardt van Zyl helped me everytime over the phone in a calm and professional manner. Completely clued up about their product and never gave me one of those, "Erm I'm not sure" answers. Wonderful gentleman who helped me everytime, even when placing the order and filling in the forms. This ISP has truly blown me away with their excellent service. These two gentlemen truly showed me what excellent service is, and the company itself. Do yourself a favor, when going for fibre, get these guys as your ISP. Just pure bliss dealing with them. Fibre is working, it's stable, no issues. Well done macrolan, well done indeed! Most unreliable Internet Service Provider ever! We use this company for our business internet, and each day everyone in the building loses internet connectivity about 2-3 times daily. Internet speeds are also up and down, and never consistent. I would never ever recommend any business to use this company for anything, you'll be losing work, losing productivity and spending money on a company which can't deliver.

This internet provider’s wifi is absolutely ridiculous. I have a 10meg line and most days I cannot even retrieve / download an email. The last week or two our devices did not even pick up the wifi, and it rarely picks up in our bedroom. We live in an apartment which makes the distance from / to the router not far at all (if this is how devices connect - I am not sure). We also have to restart the router numerous times throughout the day. I emailed the support center on 13 June explaining my problem and again on 17 June. I still have not received any feedback or help. This is unacceptable seeing that we pay for their service but we don’t receive anything. I am extremely unhappy with their service.

Since moving in to Somerset Lakes, Macrolan's so called fibre network has left much to be desired. On 30 November 2018 I gave my 30-days notice to cancel the broadband service but to leave my VIOP phone line in place. Despite my timely notice, I was still charged on 2 January for the broadband and phone line (the refund, by the way, took over 3 weeks to be effected). The phone line is a home phone and not used much. I've tried using it occassionally since January and not getting a line, so I surrendered to the fact that it was again poor connectivity (which is why I cancelled the broadband service to start with). On inquiring yesterday why it isn't working, was advised it sits over the broadband and with cancelling the broadband, it was to have been configured. At no point did anyone notify me of this impact, so I have been billed for 3 months for a phone line and had no service. I sent an email yesterday with the ticket number and requested the issue be escalated. This morning I received an email advising me that Finance will not refund me for the 3 months phone service that I did not receive, no explanation nor acceptance on Macrolan's side for their staff's inefficiency... simply no refund. They did however offer to talk me through reconnecting my phone line... so I guess I should be happy with this. What do you think Macrolan management?

We swapped over from a Neotel fibre optic line to a Macrolan fibre optic to try improve speeds (we are a high usage client). We have about 30 staff online and were not experiencing connectivity problems with Neotel. <br> <br> Once we swapped to the new Macrolan fibre optic line, we started experience fluctuating speeds and no connectivity. Macrolan say the problem is not on their side and don't even bother to come to site while we sit trying to run a production house with no internet.<br> <br> Shocking service!<br>
