Worst experience ever we askes for an early check on one of our rooms just to keep oir bags safe nothing much they refused an let us crry round the beach until one of us lost a bag with her belongings including id and cellphone So when we checked in we also did mention. That will be checking out early.ok we both agreed when we to check out and get our breakage fee we were told that we should have wait until 10 for their staff to report to work ecen now we still waiting for the to communicate

THE WORST PLACE AND NIGHTMARE STAFF - DO NOT BOOK HERE. THE WORST PLACE AND NIGHTMARE STAFF - DO NOT BOOK HERE It started with our booking early February towards March, our initial booking invoice which was sent via WhatsApp did not include their admin fees of R250 to R350 which is extremely bizarre to me , R900 key and breakage fee which is even more extreme, and exorbitant. Take note the above additional amounts you are not informed of when you inquire and make a booking they do not form part of your quote you find about about those amounts when you receive your booking invoice 5 days after you have made your first payment ( ANOTHER CRAZY RED FLAG I SHOULD HAVE NOTED). I received my invoice to my sock there are additional amounts and spelling errors, which I asked them to fix I didn’t believe that an entire hotel can be so clumsy with their wording. Still trusting, I made our final payment and waited for our trip. NOW HERE IS WHERE EVERYTHING WENT SOUTH, We arrive at the hotel we are told parking is R150 rand per day, the parking is outside at the back of the building next to two pubs/ clubs and in an open space with one security guard who did not look healthy and did not have any form of security himself ( weapon ) nothing. I refused to pay R150 for 3 days , every hotel I have been to all over the world includes parking and it is in a safe underground parking space. The R900 and admin fee of R250 I was basically forced to pay in cash to people I never spoke to who looked as though they don’t understand what I am saying. I refused to pay that amount in cash as I wanted proof to who I am paying to, the guys are now screaming at me and I am screaming at them eventually they agreed to using speed point and give me a receipt NOW THE GREATEST RED FLAG, We get to the room , no one helped us with the inspection of the room, I did the check in myself, the flat had roaches helping you check in, different kitchen insects , it is self catering but there was a note on our oven stating we cannot use the oven , some of the kitchen appliances were not working ( Of course no one to complain to at this point it is a weekend, management does not answer their phones or emails). The towels were dirty, we could not use them for bathing, the water was hot when it wanted to , the tv was not working , there was no signal. We arranged parking at another place near the area where we paid R100 for the 3 days and it was underground with security and cameras monitoring day and night. Now we leave the hotel …. The fight for my R900 deposit starts. I email them my banking details and the receipt, they do not acknowledge receipt of same, I send them a WhatsApp and I was told I must read my invoice it says 5 to 7 business days , and I tell them please acknowledge receipt of my email … ( nothing never acknowledged) I follow up 5 days later I am told to send my details via WhatsApp again and not in PDF… The same Saturday I get only R450 and not my entire deposit back …. I am still waiting for a response as to when I will get the remainder of my deposit. I called their office number, the admin lady was so rude she hung up on me twice. I had I nice stay at the mentioned business We arrived on the ,1/10/2021 till the 04/10/2021 the service was excellent and it's Infront of the Beach like they have said over the phone the staff there very friendly their names are as follows Junior William Carlos Nash Elias They were very helpful and their customers service was excellent and their rooms very clean. Thank u very much Marlborough team you rock keep it up hats off to guys

Dear Future guest, I am here to warn you about this apartment. I booked this apartment via bookings.com for 4days holiday stop for myself and my two kids. The place perhaps was once going under a sound management years back according to the website. BUT IT IS NOT CLOSE TO WHAT THE WEBSITE SHOWS NOW. LET ME TAKE YOU TO MY WORSE AND FEARFUL JOURNEY WITH THIS PLACE. 1. LOCATING THIS PLACE WHICH HAS A DIFFERENT NAME BUILDING FROM THE WEBSITE WAS A PAIN. 2. EXTERIOR OF THE BUILDING DIRTY AND UNKEPT, 3. RECEPTION OKAY BUT I WAS ASKED TO PAY A DEPOSIT MORE EXPENSIVE THAT THE ONE "BOOKING.COM" ASKED OF ME, 4. I HAD TO WALK A DISTANCE TO THE BACK SIDE OF THE HENCE I HAD TWO SUITCASES, THE COMPLIMENTARY DRINKS WERE SCATTERED ON THE FLOOR JUST BEFORE YOU TAKE THE ELIVATER. 5. MY WAY TO MY ROOM MY GOD EACH AND EVERY DOOR YOU PASS ITS RUSTED UNCLEAN AND NOISE OR YOUR ACKWARD FISH SMELL AND KIDS SCREAMING,6. FINALLY MY ROOM GREETED BY AN UNPLEASENT SMELL AGAIN NOTHING SMELT FRESH AND CLEAN AT ALL. 7.KITCHEN POTS ARE BURNED LIKE BLACK CLINGY SCOTCH ON THE BOTTOM OF THE POT, CUBINETT S WITH BROKEN DRAWERS, FILTHY FINGERPRINT GLASSES,NO MOP,NO DISH CLOTH,DUST,GYSER WAS NOT ON AND THE ACE ITS LOCATED ITS FILTHY.8. CARPETS STINKS, BLANKETS UNFRESH,COUCH NEED A DEEP CLEANING AND ONE NEEDS TO BE THROWN AWAY.Towels God of heaven thank God I had mine. We couldn't wait to leave the place with my kids the way this place was so uncomfortable.We checked in 12-out the 14 May2021 and the booking was also for 19-21May 2021 But we wouldn't dare to go back in that apartment there was nothing good about it. You are even berged to pass-on a good word. My response was if you know what you put in you will know the outcome it is not for you to ask me of a "good word".Inconclussion I work hard for my money the place was not worth of it, and my daughter suffered a severe nose bleeding as she was sneezing throughout the night.

We had decided to make a booking and as any ordinary person internet is ur quickest solution so as we did we scrolled pass marlborough and this were it had begun, the pictures were beautiful and rooms looked amazing. So we contacted the number and a lady who answered was so helpful and my husband decided with the good service he shall pay for it, to our suprise when we get there the blankets are stained, towels are dirty , rooms smell really bad and the is plastic on the beds instead of sheets. When we called to explain the ordeal , the lady who helped from the internet bookings was rude and when i tried calling from another cell as she was cutting my calls , a man answered and asked "why are you harrassing my wife" , when we tried explaining the situation he used languages and made a racial comment and said we can do whatever we want we will never smell our money back and if we dont like the place we must leave and book some where else. Please a serious warning to anyone looking for accommodation in beachfront durban , please please please dont book at marlborough its a nightmare.

On the 8th of December we booked in at Marlborough Durban hotel, it was stated that we have to pay money for damages and will receive the money back five days after checking out of which it did not happen as said on the 19th of Dec I called in and requested for my refund they said I need to email my banking details and they will process after 5 days,,and still I didn't get my refund, on the 27th of December I called in again and still they wanted my banking details and this time around I was told I need to text them of which I did but still I did not get my refund, and today on the 3rd of Jan I called their landline they did not answer so I called the cell phone number the lady did not answer but after some few minutes she then text me asking how much is my refund now I did not even tell her the reason y I called but she just went straight to the point I then answered her after that she started saying if I do not mark my words when I talk to her she will not process my claim, what kind of service do they give and why is it a hustle for them to refund me the money when the check out date was the 10th of December and still today am trying to get the refund that was supposed to be deposited into my account five days after checking out. Am I suppose to beg them to get my money back?
