Incompetent technicians and poor quality
Took my Jeep Compass for an oil change service to MASTER MAC on 13/12/2019 and their incompetent technicians put a lock-tight and threadlock (using a spanner) way beyond its threshold and now no other workshop can service my car without drilling the oil sump out. Phoned them to rectify their mistake and they told me that it is not their responsibility. I advise car owners to steer clear off these scammers.

Mastermac/Macmaster - Queensburgh
Prior to the post following I had received good service from this company and they had helped until I had a major car problem. 6th November 2020 I paid R9190.00 to this company for clutch kit, gearbox oil, slave cylinder, clutch master, brakefluid, labour. Plus a major service of R4970.00 on 10th November. Then on 30th March 2021 they had to collect my car again for a terrible shudder, only when using the clutch. On 1st April I got a message to say it wasn't the clutch and they replaced a pipe and slave cylinder. "the shudder was the lower gearbox mounting. vehicle been test driven and going perfect" - their message to me. Well it wasn't even a day of local driving and the shudder was back. I will not take my car back there after reading the reviews on this site as clearly I have been a victim of their incompetence and today have had to take it to another mechanic to confirm what work this Mastermac/Macmaster actually did. I did ask for receipts for clutch etc and was told "you have an invoice from me and that's all that is required!" I am totally at my wits end after spending so much money, which I had to take a loan for. Angry and disappointed.

Mastermac/Macmaster - Queensburgh

Poor Service /Rip off. They can never honor the delivery date . Waited 6 month to get my car back eventually had to get a lawyer involved so they could release my car. Always a story as why the car was not ready on the committed date. They block you off FB when you try and write a negative review, They even changed the name on FB from Master Mac to Mac Master. They charge for new parts yet they use second hand parts. Think twice before you have your car serviced with them. First service is great until you have to bring back to fixed the issue they should have fix in the first place. They do not honor the guarantee they always try and find an excuse as to why they can not honor this even when the car has been service by them.

THESE ARE NOT MECHANICS, THEY ARE SCAMMERS IN OVERALLS
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Sent my car in for repairs for a misfire / hesitation which was supposed to be a 1-2 day job, the car sat with them for 4 months where I received a different excuse everyday as to why they need another day to complete until I had to eventually collect to car it a pathetic barely drive-able condition. in addition to the hesitation, they had broken interior pieces, lost clips, *****s and covers throughout the engine and auxiliary system, damaged radiator hoses, plastic mounting clips and thread holes on the engine itself. All the replacement parts that were supposed to be fitted had clearly not been done and when I asked for the old parts, i was given various parts from other models of cars to make it seem as if they had tried. The fault was narrowed down to a leaking injector which took 20 min to diagnose and change by a real mechanic, And another 5 days to go through and replace all the missing and damaged parts that were caused by these guys. I would give these guys negative stars if I could. A TOTAL RIPOFF!!!! Just to be specific, this is Master Mac's Service Centre in Queensburgh.

Think twice before you send your car in for repairs at Master Mac / Mac Master
After sending my car in for a full engine rebuild back in February 2019 and with a 12 month guarantee. My car had continuous oil loss , taking back to Master mac for the repair a few times during the guarantee and to then be told I needed a new Turbo. Which i then paid for in November and had it fitted, the oils loss was still their. On the 1 January 2020 the motor packed up again still under Guarantee. Took it back to Master Mac for repairs and was told I needed to redo the full engine again and I would need to replace the injectors at a Cost of R33000. I paid in full and was told the car would be ready on the 30th Of January 2020 Its now the 28th of May and my car is still at Master Mac and only now have they order the new Injectors From Nissan, but all along they had the new injectors\, I was told. They have blocked me off Face book and have change the mane to Mac Master. They can never carry out the commitment dates always an excuse why they could not deliver on time. I still do not have a commitment date as when I will actually ever get may car back. Its almost 6 months and a total spent of R150 000 + and I don't know if my car will ever work properly. If you ever take your car to them make sure they give you all the old parts back other wise you will never know if what you paid for is actually in your car. I would stay away from them if you can.

Keep away from Master Mac
Sent my car in Jan 2020 under warranty after a full engine rebuilt back Feb 2019 by Master Mac gave 1 year warranty during this time had continues oil loss first oil leaks, then turbo was the issue so turbo was replaced still oil loss and then motor packed up under the warranty. Motor had to be redone again, they agreed to fix but I had to pay for new injectors. I paid in full in January 2020 was promised the car on the 30th January. I'm still waiting to get my cat back. I asked for proof of new injectors/photos invoice for the amount paid in still nothing. Car B been with them Master mac for the last 3 months(excluding lock down) still do not know when I will get my car back, Can not commit to a date just getting the run around every time I ask about the car some else is wrong. Last excuse was that the NEW injectors needed to be serviced, funny how brand new injectors have to be service when car is still with them. Just being given the run around. Very Frustrating indeed. They block you of face book have changed mane to Mac Master on FB have been advertising repairs of FB during lock down but can not fix/release my ca, I have no date as to when they will do this. keep way from them do not send cars in to them for repairs. Don't know what else to do Went to the Motors Ombudsman, and looks like they don't even care about them. Keep away from them. In total iv'e spent +/_ R140000 with Master Mac in the past year and still do not have my car back from them.

Bad Service
I Took my BMW E92 2009 325i for a major for the second time ,but this time im extremely unhappy. Theyve charged me R12000 for a service that i dont understand . How can they charged me R9.30.000 for v20-0645-vaico filter-oil-paper element? And after collecting the car from them, i had to go back for cigarettes lighter that wasnt working now my break pad is loose. I dont trust these guys and dont ever think of taking your car there.
