For years I've been going to Nikita Richards at head office whenever I need a new contract added, an upgrade processed or even just a billing issue queried. Nikita leaves me smiling every single time. She goes so far above and beyond what is expected and makes everything so so so easy. She is truly an asset to your company and should honestly be your director for customer relations. She is one of the few MTN employees that honestly cares about making the customer experience as good as it can possibly be. I will be seeing her again for my next upgrade in June. THANK YOU NIKITA!!!

I have been treated very badly at an MTN outlet. Trading as an MTN outlet at Vincent Park Mall in East London, Maverick Telecommunications sold me a new cellphone contract upgrade. I have used Huawei phones for many years now and, when I was offered Huawei devices as part of my wife and my upgrade, I was interested. However, because I knew that there had been software issues between Huawei and Google, I purposely asked whether this phone was now compatible. I was told that there was no problem at all. I asked the same question again and was assured again that there was no problem. Based on this information, I signed up for the new contract and received the devices. Unfortunately, it became clear within a day that it is not compatible. Each app has to be loaded and updated by means of workaround app called Gbox and the process is by no means seamless. My wife refused to use the phone because of the complications. One app, which is very useful to me, does not function as well and the Huawei technician contacted the company to query it. I was told that they're working on it. It still does not work. Within two days, I took the phones back but was advised that they would not be happy to cancel the deal. I left to try again but took them back seven days after the day I had signed up for the contract. The branch manager sent the device in for "repairs" despite my insisting that the contract/devices be replaced instead. I have waited for more than a month since signing up, have had two months' fees deducted from my bank account and have enjoyed no benefits from the contract yet. Unfortunately for me, I had signed where I was instructed to. I have subsequently been shown that I had inadvertently signed an acknowledgement that I was aware that the device was not compatible with Android. So, was assured that the device was compatible when, in fact, the salesman knew that it was not because it was in the contract. I have been in contact with the head office of the company and, despite my attempts to resolve this matter amicably, I was told that I could not be helped. I was completely misinformed, returned the devices after two days and then again six days later. I cannot recommend MTN or this company although I have been an MTN customer for approximately 30 years now.

Worst service at mtn I was at mtn Goldfields Sabc 1350 last year to apply for a contract. Im a student at Tosa Fet, I was assisted by Vuyokazi Zulu the sales consultant... I asked for a device for the amount of R300 per month.... But apparently mtn gave score of 3000 and then I was given a device for R650 per month... When I realized that the device I was being given was beyond what I had asked for, I told the lady I didn't want the expensive device cause I wouldn't be able to pay that amount... Her response was "I should sell the device and pay mtn....". I left the device with her and asked she cancel the contract as it's not what I asked for.... Till today the contract is not canceled and I still need to pay for something I didn't ask for.... Its being over 4 month since I app**** for contract cancelation. Now my account has being handed over to the legal department.

This is by far the greatest regret of my life having to do business with them I took out a contract phone with an MTN in Cape Gate which belongs to Mavericks Tele Communications. They did not have a live unit of the phone but nevertheless, I took out the contract. Upon setting up the phone, I realized the phone was too small and took it back the following day for the S23 which I was willing to pay more for. The first problem was their communication. From Sales Consultant, Store Manager, Regional Manager and Operations Manager - though they working for a telecommunications company, they are not good in communicating and giving feedback. I had to follow up every time I needed feedback. They show no empathy - but are very happy to make a sale and benefit from the customer's money every month. Their resolution to the matter was that they cannot take the phone which I never used (only activated). The sales consultant even suggested that I should not pay and get blacklisted instead, but keep the phone. In my opinion, I fail to understand that a matter like this cannot be resolved as it is of material nature.

Your MTN Garden centre is absolutely pitiful. Its honestly disgusting how you can just ignore your customers and no management or Area management has bothered to make contact after numerous requests. At least your Constantia Emporium team can do their jobs. Honestly, it feels like none of your staff actually knows how things work.
