0 starts if I could. Supposed to be an extension of Life Kingsbury Claremont Emergency room. Doctors are disgusting. Terrible experience. Lazy, harsh and disconnected. Dont check in with patients, dont administer medications, make no effort to find the solution for an emergency visit. I would suggest reviewing every single doctor that was “looking after” me during my stay. Been here for 24 hours and they still dont know whats wrong with me. My most recent doctor visited me at 8am saying she hasn’t reviewed my files, it’s not 14:25 and I still havent seen her. No complaint department either.

I recently had a deeply unsatisfactory experience with MD Inc ER at Life Kingsbury Hospital. After waiting for three hours, I was finally attended to by Dr. Coetzee. During her examination, she acknowledged that having diarrhea for four weeks is abnormal and noted that I was dehydrated, recommending admission for further investigation. She also mentioned that blood tests would determine whether I needed to be admitted to High Care or a medical ward for further investigation However, after the blood test results came back an hour later, Dr. Coetzee suddenly changed her stance. She claimed that after consulting with my physician, they decided to discharge me because the symptoms were allegedly caused by strong pain medication I was taking. This was not accurate, as I had stopped taking the pain medication the previous Friday, following my spine surgeon’s advice, to see if the diarrhea would subside—which it clearly did not, leading to my visit to the ER feeling weak. Without conducting a stool test, Dr. Coetzee reversed her entire diagnosis, saying that there was nothing wrong and that I should do a stool test at home and bring it back to her within an hour. She did not formally discharge me; instead, I had to request a nurse to assist with the discharge process. It’s clear that this ER prioritizes making money over providing proper patient care. Their disregard for my health and well-being was evident, and I believe their practices should be reported to the medical board. I would not recommend MD Inc ER at Life Kingsbury Hospital to anyone in need of urgent and thorough medical attention.

I have been harassed everyday with 10 calls a day from different numbers ans sms's. I have paid them but they are so unprofessional that it is not communicated to the relevant staff that phone you relentlessly. They start at 7h00 in the morning non stop. This has been going on for years. This is total harrassment and illegal. Also, I have noticed thousands of complaints where other people have also been harassed. What must be done to stop this practice?

Constantiaberg med-Clinic ER (MD Inc.) Staff are excellent. Three problems though : - only one doctor on duty at night, which makes the wait very long, for the very expensive cost - no separate entrance or unit for Covid patients - With a long wait, one would appreciate a vending machine. Theirs isn't working.

This company has very bad manners when it comes to sending you the bill. They send you a rude sms telling you you have an amount outstanding and if you dont pay it they will hand you over. but they do not have the courtesy of sending you the invoice before sending the rude sms. I have requested an invoice three times, and not received one. Just more threatening sms's. Fix your system MD Inc. !

The doctor on duty was great but the admin staff have taken 2 months (and counting) to write out a 'first medical report' so I can submit for workmans compensation. Ten phone calls later, still nothing. They did not respond to a post on their FaceBook page either. I realise they have urgent medical business to attend to, but this is the doctors. The admin staff sit around doing very little.

MD Inc provided services to my elderly mother in the emergency room of Vincent Pallotti Hospital in February 2019. They submitted invoices that were forwarded to Discovery medical aid who settled them in full except for an item with a claimed value R421.90 which Discovery determined was not due. In Discovery's words "We have not paid an amount on this line as the cost for this item is already included in our agreement with the provider. You do not have to pay this amount." MD Inc have continued to harass us for this amount and refuse to respond meaningfully to any verbal or written communications with them.

I received emergency treatment from MD Inc on 29 August 2017, at Constantiaberg Mediclinic hospital in Cape Town. As an aside, the treating doctor, Dr Paul Xafis, and another female staff member at the hospital, were rude and sarcastic, and billed me for items that were not used. I had to pay an upfront amount before receiving treatment. I was overcharged on that amount, and I have been trying to get a refund from MD Inc without success. On 4 September, I phoned the hospital's finance department, who put me through to the incorrect people about seven times, before eventually putting me through to the MD Inc office. MD Inc then referred me to Ms Riedwah Gaidien, a billing agent at MD Inc, to assist with my refund. Ms Gaidien said that she was not able to send me a refund form, because their server was offline. She said that I could however email my bank details to her directly, and that she would process the refund. A week later, the refund was still not processed. I phoned MD Inc's office again, but I was informed that Ms Gaidien was on leave, and that she would only be back the next week. I spoke to another billing agent, Mr Tachiona Magwegwe, who said that it was not possible to process my refund, because a refund form had not yet been completed. I completed a refund form and emailed it to Mr Magwegwe. After waiting five business days, I emailed Mr Magwegwe again on 26 September to follow up on the status of the refund, but I received no reply. On 27 September, I phoned MD Inc's office again and spoke to Mr Magwegwe, who said that he had forwarded the refund form to the billing department. I was put through to a lady at MD Inc's billing department, who said that the refund had not been processed yet, because the finance officer was still on study leave, and that they would only be back in the office sometime in October. The lady said that the director of MD Inc, Dr Ibrahim D'Andrea, is the person who is standing in for the finance officer while they are on leave, and that she would forward the refund request to him. I asked for the director's cellphone number, but the lady said that she cannot give me the director's number, because he is a director. She said that the director might be coming in to the office later that day, as he had not been at the office for a few days, and that he would phone me back when he arrived at the office. The director never phoned me back. The purpose of this HelloPeter review is to warn others that MD Inc has taken my money, and that they make excuses in order not to give a refund.
