Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was a very bad experience. I had paid extra for rose petals, but when we checked in, nothing was prepared. Only after I reminded them did they arrange it while we were out for the evening. The rules and regulations clearly state it is a quiet zone, yet there was loud music and people making noise. I had to complain three times before being told the music would only stop at 10 p.m. After my third complaint, I asked for either a refund or another room. We were eventually moved, but the new room had no running water and the advertised Netflix did not work (they only have YouTube and Netflix available). Breakfast was just as disappointing. What they called a Full English Breakfast was not what was served: One small ****tail Russian (not stated on the menu, and far from a proper sausage) Two eggs One slice of bacon A tiny portion of mushrooms Two ****tail tomatoes No toast included – we had to pay an extra R18 for a single slice of bread, cut in half This was misleading and very poor value for money. Overall, from service to facilities to food, the experience was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

I would rate them zero, unprofessional at all. The hotel manager said I would receive my refund in 21 days, bunch of lies. They are ****mers, please avoid them by all means to save your money. If I knew about them via reviews I wouldn't have made a booking at this terrible place.

I was given a room 7 that smells of Sewage and I decided to cancel second night and the manager said that I will be refunded my money back in 21days and that never happened. Only the receptionist and bar man that was friendly.

I booked Monte La Vue on booking .com being a stranger, a woman alone in Johannesburg, thinking the price was great, it was 9.30 pm so I assumed they dropped the price like many do for last minute bookings (R471.41 ) . On arrival I was told that the price is not right and I must wait for the receptionist to phone the owner/ manager . She offered me a free drink while I waited politely. About an hour later which is totally unacceptable but I was so tired and it was now so late and I was alone that I hoped the Hotel would fix there problems and give me a room key . Booking was already paid by myself on the app. About an hour and half later , the receptionist gave the phone to me to talk to the Boss , he expressed that o should pay more money and that the booking.com price was wrong , I told him that that wasn’t my problem and he insisted that I pay the balance which to this day I don’t know what that price is as I haven’t even bothered to look . Another single lady had also booked two nights and she was told the same thing in a separate phone call. We were both very unhappy . Finally around two hours later we got the room keys. My rooms door handle was falling off and I battled to get the key in and out. The room was adequate and clean , no hairdryer as advertised and I was not given the WiFi password and I was told at the rate I payed that breakfast was not included. I didn’t even know they included breakfast but was made to feel like they were doing me a favour allowing me to stay there for the rate that they advertised . The owner was very rude and really did not care about kicking me out onto the streets . Eventually I threatened calling the police which seem to make things move along and my key was given to me , well that was my assumption anyway . The receptionist was lovely , polite and really tried hard, I probably have her to thank for finally getting a key to my room. I personally would not pay the advertised price of R1164 they have now advertised , it’s seems they have changed their price , which apparently includes breakfast. To not honour a price on booking.com is disgraceful especially so late at night. Never again and thank you to the lovely lady who worked at the desk who finally got me a key . It was probably a glitch on the system but that was not my problem . Someone was responsible for the price that I paid on the app .

I’ve bought a voucher on Hyperli , I’m being given a run around around what amounts I should pay. The reception by the name of Rea took my reservation and I asked if I should send the voucher or not - she said I can send it . I sent the voucher two days later with an understanding that my reservation has been made I was then told they are fully booked and they have specificied number of rooms for Hyperli and booking.com I was given the managers number and I spoke to Tanki who was mean to call me back on the 02.08.2023 who advised he will resolve the issue. I waited the for an update , then later called on the 02.08.2023 to be told that the manager has left the business . I called the company again and my call attended to to be told “sorry theres nothing that can be done) after me sending screenshots showing that I followed their steps , I tried to call again and my call was declined. Followed then I send through another whatsapp screenshot regarding this matter and I was informed to add more money for the booking of the same room which was on Hyperli at a discounted rate. I find this very unfair that I follow through with their instructions on a site that they agreed to “bringing them traffic” to be told sorry there’s nothing that can de done.
