Hi Team. Can someone from head office contact me - 060 7277 466. This is specific to an ongoing harassment issue and an increase in conflict within the gym space. I’m avoiding lengthy emails and would like to engage with head office direct to highlight and address the concerns. I’ve spoke to members at reception and when I asked for head office I was told “good luck”. I’m willing to assist as the gym is 3km away from me, however I’ve upgraded yesterday to national membership and used the gym at 14th avenue as preference and there is a world of difference in service and respect. I engaged with Ben (5 star rating for Ben) and quickly upgraded. Looking forward to your call. Thanks.

Horrible service and equipment maintainance at Moove oakdene I was injured by one of thier benches, chich went on a completer decline during my set My shoulder was dislocated and om tip of that, nobody who actually works in that gym is first aid trained They were not in a position to help me with anything, not even an arm sling or to help me off the ground. That's not even the worst part, the general anger at that club handled the situation very disgustingly and not following any procedure as well A few hours after the Incident the manager called me from her cell phone while I was still in hospital to let me know that thier maintainence guys are on site and have checked the equipment and nothing is wrong with the bench, She's telling me that it was my fault, and she's telling me thies without checking cctv or opening any type of investigation, let alone open an incident report. The day after the incident when I tried to contact her saying that something should be done, she ignored my calls and texts Later that evening she sends me am email adress to escalate and calls my situation a "query" 2 days after my recovery I went in to the gym to demand answers as to why this situation is being handles so poorly, the very same Manager did not want to answer any of my questions amd saw nothing wrong with how she handled the situation. She then proceeded to press the panic button to vacate me ( I am in an arm sling with no weapon and me and did no threaten her at all) When security gets to the site, she lies to them right before my eyes and tells them that I was swearing at her They did let her know that this is not a situation you press the panic button for and was embarrassed when security could not remove me She insisted that I leave the premises simply because she could not answer my questions, despite the gym debiting my account the previous day,as well me paying for my own hospital bills the day before. That same evening debit was refunded and my membership was terminated by them, despite me being the victim. They know that they did not follow procedure with the whole situation and they tried ti make me look like and offender to cover it all up. I've sent an email to thier head office telling them that I have proof such as videos and witnesses that the injury was completely the gyms fault. They have since not rep****. Manager also **** to me saying that there was nothing wrong with the bench but to this day, that bench is still cordoned off.why? Moove is comple unpleasant and unprofessional when it comes to people getting injured by their equipment Do NOT train at moove, should you get hurt, even if it's thier fault, they will look the other way and deny accountability. They will not even respond to your calls or emails. The only reason I have not opened a case was because of my financial situation. Please people, you are not safe training at moove, they do not care about thier members at ALL Also ,I have found out from other members I'm that gyms, that they have previously complained about theat same bench that I was Injured on,but they took all the complaints likely. Please read my story. The managers name at the club is Nelly and is not fit for Manager position at all.

The treadmills are broken refurbished units that randomly stop dead mid workout, which is dangerous. The Stair Masters have been broken for over a year, with only one functioning. For a gym of this size, that is ridiculous. Weighted machines are completely out of alignment. You have to lean halfway off the seat just to sit centered on the handles. Basic maintenance is clearly being ignored. You have to dodge several handheld cameras and private photoshoots every day POPIA act is constantly being breached. Barbells and equipment regularly used as tripods. I was told to use another machine because someone’s phone was using the seat. Turning into a major fight. Still waiting for the incident report requested months ago. Peak hours feel like a content studio. People training without shirts, posing, blocking equipment. Trainers take equipment for over 30 minutes while filming their clients. Barely doing a single set. It is a complete circus. Zero discipline from floor staff. No structure. No respect for paying members who just want to train properly.

I signed a 24 months contract with them, they kept on deducting the money even after the contract has ended. I stopped the debit order and now they telling me the contract continues on month to month bases after the 24 months. The contract states clearly that it starts 23 September 2023 to 27 September 2025. Now I'm struggling to cancel they say I must cancel on the app but when I try to go into the app, it's blocked because the debit order didn't go through now what must I do

Unfair Targeting & Unsafe Equipment at Moove Gym Bassonia Review / Post Body: I am extremely disappointed with the repeated unfair treatment my group has received at Moove Gym Bassonia. • We have been singled out by male staff (not personal trainers) for minor issues that other members do every day without being addressed. • Examples include being told not to grunt while squatting 160kg, being asked to re-rack weights when others leave theirs scattered, and being told not to throw weights, even though several dumbbells (40–55kg) are damaged and taped with duct tape, which is unsafe. • I have photographs of both the damaged equipment and the unracked weights by other members. • Despite raising this with the branch manager and head office, no action has been taken, and the behaviour continues. This targeted and inconsistent enforcement makes us feel unwelcome and discriminated against. I am seriously considering leaving the gym, despite bringing in multiple new members who are joining this week. Moove Gym must address staff behaviour and unsafe equipment immediately. Paying members should not have to endure this.

Southgate branch, what a ****. My gym membership expired and they automatically continued with it and said that was part of the contract, to automatically continue if I don’t send a cancellation email. I sent the email last month, 4 times. No one bothered to respond or at least acknowledge the cancellation. All they do is to continuously debit my account. I have called the head office, the Menlyn office and no one is bothered to assist. This is a ****, just after people’s money with no proper communication or whatsoever.

MOOVE Oakdene - I have been trying for months to get hold of this branch - obviously they cannot afford to keep their lines operational... other branches won't assist me with membership information after hearing I need to join at a different branch. Not sure why I am even surprised - not easy to find good service (or any service at all) these day...

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the manner in which my 17-year-old son's membership was handled at the Hillfox branch of Moove Motion Fitness. He had been a loyal member for over two years, yet in August 2025, his membership was suddenly terminated without prior notice to us, his legal guardians. I found this not only alarming but also irresponsible, considering he is a minor and parental engagement should have been a priority before any disciplinary action was taken. Upon inquiry, I attempted to engage with the manager on duty to understand the situation and requested CCTV footage to substantiate the accusations made against him. Disappointingly, I was met with mixed responses, vague explanations, and no concrete evidence. Despite multiple follow-ups over the past two weeks, no footage or formal explanation has been provided. It has also come to my attention that there seems to be a pattern of bias among staff towards a certain group of youngsters at the branch, raising concerns about the fairness and consistency of how policies are enforced. In a time when customer service and business retention should be a priority, it is disheartening to see such poor standards in ethics, communication, and accountability. Moove Motion Fitness had the opportunity to resolve this matter professionally but instead chose to alienate a long-standing member and their family. I trust you will take this matter seriously and respond with the professionalism and transparency that any concerned parent and client deserves. I also hope this message prompts internal reflection and action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
