Morton & Partners
Based on recent customer reviews, Morton & Partners faces significant criticism across billing, administration, and patient communication. Customers repeatedly report aggressive debt collection tactics through Landau attorneys, disputed charges, delayed refunds, and coercive payment demands in vulnerable settings such as emergency rooms. Access to personal medical records and radiology images is described as unnecessarily difficult. A serious clinical concern was raised involving a missed critical diagnosis. However, individual staff members like Ayshia Diedericks and Jody at Centric Radiology earned praise for exceptional helpfulness and patience.

Centric Radiology, a subsidiary of Morton and Partners, refused to give me a copy of my mammogram results. The Constitution and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) guarantee that you have the right to access information held by the state (and private entities) that is needed to protect or exercise your rights. This includes your medical records. I had to threaten the staff member with my lawyer, the PAIA act and a report to the HPCSA and Blouberg Netcare Hospital, in order to get a copy. The practise manager then responds to my email complaint, by alluding that my results weren't ready. This cannot be true as I had my mammogram done at 9am yesterday and asked for results a day later at 3pm. The staff at the front desk assured me they were in fact ready. Confusing, right ? I think that a better manner to handle this would be to check with staff what was aid, what happened, and take the time to CALL the client. An weak apology based on differing stories does not sit well with me. I have a right to my records and their staff should be better trained to assist clients.

Worst clinical care (radiology) one can ever experience at Morton and Partners at the Cape Town Medi Clinic !!! My husband was referred for a Doppler and MSK ultrasound as he had unbearable pain in his calf and leg . Could hardly walk . They did what we thought was a Doppler and charged us R2200.00 and told him everything was fine and he must do a muscular skeletal ultrasound for muscle or tendon injury when we get back to Jhb. A few days later after flight back to Jhb , and unbearable pain we proceeded to a radiologist once again in Jhb . They picked up that he had critical limb ischemia ( nothing to do with tendons or muscles ) and he was immediately referred to a vascular surgeon for a femoral bypass and thrombectomy. But everything “was fine “ as per the radiologist at Morton and partners . My husbands health, life and limb were put at risk . I thank God for the radiologist in Jhb who excercised a high standard of care and didn’t miss the red flags 🚩 unbearable pain and inability to walk and emergency referred him to a vascular surgeon !

Date of Incident: 22 November 2025 Company: Morton and Partners Location: Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital Emergency Room, Cape TownI am writing this complaint to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the ********* and predatory billing practices employed by Morton and Partners during my emergency visit to Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital. As a paying member of a medical aid scheme, I expect transparent, fair, and compassionate treatment—especially in a high-stress ER environment. Instead, I was ambushed, overcharged, and left in unnecessary debt, which has caused me significant financial and emotional distress. On 22 November 2025, I found myself in the Emergency Room at Netcare Blaauwberg due to severe respiratory symptoms requiring immediate attention. After being admitted and stabilized, I underwent a routine chest X-ray as part of my diagnostic workup. The procedure was quick and unremarkable, and I was returned to my bed to await further results.Moments later—literally as I was still catching my breath—one of Morton and Partners' consultants burst into the room unannounced, brandishing a portable card machine. Without any prior explanation, warning, or opportunity for me to consult my medical aid or understand the charges, she demanded immediate payment for the X-ray, claiming my medical aid "hadn't paid." Under duress in the vulnerable state of an ER patient, I had no choice but to swipe my personal card for R1,310. This felt like nothing short of an ambush—aggressive, insensitive, and exploitative, especially when I was in no condition to negotiate or even process what was happening. To my horror, upon reviewing my medical aid statement later that day, I discovered that my scheme had in fact paid R612.18 directly to Morton and Partners for the exact same chest X-ray procedure. This means I was not only coerced into paying out-of-pocket unnecessarily but was also grossly overcharged by nearly double the approved amount. The total I've now been lumbered with—R1,310—is an unfair debt that has pushed me into a credit crunch at the worst possible time, all because of what appears to be a deliberate tactic to extract extra funds from distressed patients. This incident is not just a billing error; it's a blatant violation of patient rights and ethical standards in healthcare. In an emergency setting, patients deserve clear communication about costs upfront, not shock tactics with card machines. I feel ******, violated, and deeply distrustful of the system that is supposed to protect me when I'm at my most vulnerable. How can a radiology service partner like Morton and Partners justify such behavior? It undermines the entire purpose of medical aid contributions and erodes faith in private healthcare providers.I demand the following immediate actions from Morton and Partners:A full refund of the R1,310 I was coerced into paying, including any associated bank fees.

Constant harassment by Landau attorneys for their client Morton & Partners. Pathetic again this morning I see text message coming through from Landau attorney. The bill has been settled way back more than 6 months ago. Morton & Partners contacted me in August and apologies for the inconvenience. I do not know what to do anymore.

Date of service: 28 March 2024 Claim submitted: 23 Sept 2025 Claim rejected by medical aid as it was submitted EIGHTEEN months later! Confirmed with medical aid - no previous claim received Also confirmed that claim would have been paid IF submitted within FOUR months Question: why was claim submitted 18months later and will you be writing it off due to own negligence?

Pathetic administration and handling of accounts. I have made full payments of scans done, and yet they handed my account over to Landau attorneys. Even worse! I get billed for commission from these guys and never EVER get to see a statement from Morton and Partners. So it just adds up month after month and one has to settle commission bills for “so called” debt management when there is none. A bunch of ****psters! i would not be surprised that the owner/directors of Morton and Partners are together with he so called LANDAU attorneys whom never take a call and you hold on forever listening to a voice message and eventually get cut off. You get harassed monthly for bill payments whic do not get updated or do not exist. HARRASMENT of the highest form. You get send for scans and they go to town, why? Because there is a mediacal aid paying for all. BUT medical aid only pays SO much. The rest is for your own account. So Morton and Partneres goes to town when they do scan.

I am not happy with the level of service from Vincent Gumpo - he has consistently and simply ignored my requests for him to either 1. provide me a confirmation that a bank transfer proof of payment that I have submitted | provided was indeed for the treatment received on 18 December 2023 2. Or, in the event that it wasn't, provide clarity on what the payment effected on 15 April 2024 was actually for then. Instead, I received a response that is worded with a threat of handing the account to attorneys - which smacks of bullying if the information requested to substantiate or to confirm what the payment made was actually for which treatment then. has not been provided
