My Red-E unit unfortunately had a defect. I contacted Omnico and Junaine Adams responded very fast. After the verification was done, he managed to resolve the issue and I had my replacement unit in record time. Junaine was supportive, took ownership and brought new meaning to the word 'customer service'. Well done!

Good Day I would like to file a complaint against the above mentioned company My husband lost his job in 2019 . In our home my husband was our main source of income as I only earned enough for the bare necessities. We managed our monthly debts from October 2019 to September 2020. At this time last year 2020 the above mentioned company contacted my husband and promised him that they could assist us. They contacted me at work and rushed the process to say that my husband has asked them to help and promised me that we will be assisted so that we do not lose assets . I agreed to this as I was desperate that we would not get into trouble with our creditors. Well for the onset it was problematic. They gave us an installment that was two times my salary R23900 and they did this knowing my husband was unemployed. Because of desperation we took on the agreement and made a plan every month to get the required amount. This became such a stress that we fell more in debt because we now had to borrow from family members just to make payment. In July of 2020 we missed a payment because we just could not get hold of the funds as all our resources were depleted leaving us in family debt and where our installment could not be made. We contacted Omnico and told them we just could not afford it and asked them for a lower installment as I was the only person working at the time. They gave me an amount of R8000 which I was happy with because at least my kids would not be left homeless. At the End of August Omnico contacted me saying that for the new month of September the R8000 payment cannot be accepted as the creditors say it is too low of an amount. I then asked them why they took the first R8000 in the first place but all they could say is Mrs MacPherson if you cannot pay we will have to cancel you. So they did. I then went to do some investigation with regards to debt review and came across the fact that unemployed people could not be put under debt review and it is also up to availability. I questioned them about this and all they could say is sorry we cannot help you anymore and sent me a cancellation letter. My husband has recently been employed with a much lesser salary than what we would need to go on as before but now because of OMNIO nobody is willing to help us saying that they do not do transfers. We are now in more trouble than when Omnico Started lying to us in October 2020. Our young children's home is being threatened, our car is at risk ( only means of getting to work) and just our overall health is being affected. Omnico gave us hope under false information. Omnico allowed us to get into more personal debt. Omnico is preventing us from gert the help that we need as nobody wants to take our case on as we already come from a debt review company. Please help and stop Omnico from stealing from more helpless vulnerable South African people.

Around 2000 I used to be an ardent social cycler. I bought D’Arcs Scanners cycling sunglasses with interchangeable lenses. I indicated that it had a lifetime guarantee against breakage. I wore the glasses regularly until about 2009, when I stopped cycling. In 208, when 2 other sets of sunglasses broke shortly apart, I started wearing the D’Arcs glasses again. In 2020, during holiday in KZN, part of the rubber/plastic nosecover came loose (it sort of clipped in) and I lost it somehow. Back home in Pretoria, I googled who the distributors were, and it was Omnico, situated in Cape Town. I sent an e-mail describing the glasses and the part I was looking for. Within a day I received an e-mail asking for my address. To my total surprise, after 4 days, a courier hooted at my gate. It was the nosecover. However, it did not fit. I saved the details of the sender. My wife and I already had a holiday planned in Cape Town in 2021 (which had to be delayed twice due to Covid lockdowns), but in August we were in Cape Town – with the nosecover that did not fit. (It was possible to continue wearing the glasses) We went to the address of Omnico in Lansdowne. I was informed by the security guard at the gate that due to Covid, they are not allowing any visitors. After some serious convincing, using my age over 60 and the fact that I have come all the way from Gauteng, I was reluctantly allowed to enter the premises and go to reception, where I explained my problem to the lady, who called a gentleman. After a few minutes, he came. His first words were: “I’m surprised they even let you in.” But not in a rude way. His name was Julian. The same person who initially sent me the replacement nose cover within days and at no cost. I again explained what I was looking for, having the glasses at hand to show what exactly I was looking for. He however informed me that the specific cycling glasses had been discontinued several years ago and he does not have any remaining stock that could solve my problem. Just before I left, he remarked that he may have another solution that may assist me, but I should wait at my car with the security guard. Quite a few minutes later (the premises is quite extensive), he came, handing me a new pair of cycling glasses. At no cost. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. This is possibly the best after sales service I have ever received, especially taken into consideration it was approximately 20 years after my initial purchase. What a positive experience of not only Omnico, but in particular in dealing with Julian.

I really big shout out and thank you to Deon and Omnico, SA gopro agents who assisted me with a replacement power cable (which is kinda critical) and housing after many a months trying to engage with GoPro.com-No bro! itself over in the sates (really bad service from the international OEM, shocking I tell you) and 1 thing is for certain us South Africans are a lot more customer centric than any yank especially if you from GoPro itself!

Had a Gopro Hero 4 which started giving me problems. Contact Omnico in Cape Town as the agents for Gopro in SA. The team was extremely professional and very helpful, with fast service. Unfortunately my Gopro could not be repaired economically and they assist me to replace my unit with a new Gopro and shipped it to me in Johannesburg.

I purchased a handlebar bracket for a Gopro from Cape Union Mart Rosebank. Unfortunately it developed a crack and was about to break. I took it back to Cape Union Mart (with the till slip). I was informed by Cape Union Mart that the warranty period of 1 year had expired and that the supplier (Omnico) will not be sending me a replacement one. I am not happy with both Cape Union Mart and the Gopro supplier (Omnico). The bracket should not break as the design and/or workmanship was defective.

This is the importer of the Dofit fitness watch product range. The product itself is substandard and very low quality built but since the manufacturers of the product is not Sout African there is not much to do except not buy it. In the unfortunate event that you bought it to save some money then I really sorry to say that then local distributor, Omnico, provides a service to match the bad quality of the product. If there is still uncer*****y about this - the service you will receive from Omnico is bad.
