Following an incident whereby a vehicle who did not stay within the demarcated lane and damaged my rearview mirror in passing I totally lost it and could not find my cellphone. I rushed to Oscars cafe where we ladies met to try and find my phone. Oscars is the meeting place for their ambiance, incredible food and so well presented. Two staff members were absolutely amazing, their kindness, their caring and assistance in helping to locate the phone were beyond measure. Shania and Nebo, you displayed such tenacity and resilience to assist me. Thank you so much. Thank you Oscars for employing such innovative staff, caring for the customers.

Their service is always excellent, and the food is out of this world, we always have our meetings there. I recommend everyone to try them if they pass Hillcrest.

Having been late to the party with this establishment, I now understand why Oscars is always busy. The food is excellent and the staff are attentive, caring and friendly. I recommend Oscars to anyone who is willing to listen

Always receive a pleasant welcome by the energetic staff members who also make it more easier to eat in when we're with our toddler. The atmosphere settings makes every visit relaxing to enjoy the reasonably priced food to washed down with great drink's, keep @it Oscar's.

Visit Oscars in Hillcrest whenever I travel to the coast and have had several good meals there. Was there Friday night and had a good grilled chicken. Breakfast Saturday morning at Oscars - good service as expected. Decided to watch the rugby there on Saturday evening and have dinner. We got to Oscars just before six and missed most of the first half of the rugby. It was quite empty and we sat at a doubke table with four chairs in front of a TV screen. Most tables had four chairs or more. The lanb curry (with bones) was really good and can campete with Solly’s any day. By 18:30 the restaurant was filling up quickly - and the rugby was good. At 18:45, while enjoying a drink and before dessert and coffee, the manager (perhaps the owner) approaced us and asked us if we would mind if he split the two tables as he had customers waiting. My reply was of course not. He then continued by saying ‘I am running a tight schedule here!’ - clearly not happy with us still occupying a table after our main course was done. I immediately made it clear that I was not impressed with his attitude, asked for a bill and left bedore desserts, coffee and the end of the rugby game. Lets just hope that the greed and arrogance does not destroy a popular restaurant.
