When we are forced to pay for service you are unhappy with
have to be honest, I'm super disappointed.... I booked for a full head foil, tone, cut and blow and an added treatment with Melissa for 9:30 on the 8th November 2025. She is super friendly and a great chat bit honestly not worth the money I spent... Firstly she over booked herself so she was seeing 4 different clients at once... I specifically asked to do root touch up, full head toner (to remove all yellow from my hair) and then dust trim my dead ends... She spent 2 hours putting foils in (because I had to wait whilst she did others hair) then my hair drew for another hour. After that she apparently toned and "treated". She started blowing my hair dry and I asked why because she hadn't toned yet, she rep**** that she only toned the roots and slightly pulled the toner through the rest of my hair at the end... My hair almost looked more yellow walking out of the salon than it did going in... My roots are still very much visible and she didn't actually bother with the treatment because when I went to pay I noticed it wasn't even added to the bill... It's such a shame we have to keep learning the hard way... I'll never return.

I recently visited Paul James Hairdressing Lemon Tree for a hair color, cut, and Brazilian treatment, and I am thrilled with the results! The staff was professional and friendly, making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. My hair color is perfect, the cut is stylish, and the Brazilian treatment left my hair smooth and shiny. They also recommended fantastic products that have kept my hair looking amazing. I recently visited Paul James Hairdressing Lemon Tree for a hair color, cut, and Brazilian treatment, and I am thrilled with the results! The staff was professional and friendly, making me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. My hair color is perfect, the cut is stylish, and the Brazilian treatment left my hair smooth and shiny. They also recommended fantastic products that have kept my hair looking amazing. Fabulous Service
I received such a warm welcoming at the New Market mall branch starting from the receptionist, who was very chatty, well dressed & overall friendly. The staff made sure that I was treated with the utmost fabulous service throughout the duration of my appointment. My stylist was Karabo who made sure that my hairstyle was to the "T" of Top Tier.... Well done Team, Keep up the Fabulous Service.

Fabulous Service

Disappointed
I'm very disappointed with Paul James Newmarket mall. I went there very unsure if I want to I explained to the hairdresser Nikita that I've been jumping from one hairdresser to the other since my hairdresser of many years emigrated and I was not happy with the results from the other hairdresser she assured me that she feels the same way and is just using the one. I was very pleased with my hair when I left cut and blow dry. After a while I noticed that my hair was a little bit longer on the one side and that both sides were not shaped the same I let it go for while. After consideration I first send a WhatsApp to Nikita (she gave me her personal no) she never got back to me it was then that I decided to email them the owner was very apologetic said that Nikita was not in that day and that she will speak to her the following day. Nothing came of it not an apology from Nikita just the owner. They could have said that I must come and that they will fix the mistake. One thing is forsure I'll never go to Paul James

Stylist at Paul James Salon cuts hair like a two year old with scissors
I went into the Paul James at glenvista shopping centre and showed the stylist a picture of how I would like my hair. He said that he would straighten my hair and then dry cut. He was informed that his next client had arrived and as he was rushing for time he became hacking at my hair. The layers were not blended and the cut looked like a child did it. He then said he needed to cut the next clients hair and I explained that I was not happy and he responded he would come back to me as the other client was waiting and he needed to cut her hair. I eventually just walked out of the salon. It was such a horrible experience and I will never use Paul james salons again. The service is soo pathetic.
