I had such a wonderful experience at the PET shop located in Lenz Quarter! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine friendliness and professionalism. The store manager, Mxolisi, went above and beyond to make sure I found exactly what I needed for my pets. His knowledge and passion for animals really stood out, and he patiently answered all my questions with great care. At the checkout, Nontokozo, the cashier, made the process smooth and pleasant. She was cheerful, efficient, and attentive, which added to the overall positive atmosphere of the store. The store itself is well-organized, clean, and stocked with a wide variety of quality products. I left feeling confident that my pets are in good hands thanks to the PET shop’s dedication and the outstanding staff. So this is the face that suppose to be ur friendly manager..He is the manager at Bronkhorstspruit mall Pet store science shop... He is the most rude and arrogant person I met..we were in the store in the week to look at the specials he was rude ..passed it off as well a bad day...today we walked in to buybthe items on special He was rude to my kids at first said they notballwed to touch anything ..I left it as I was going for lr the dog food....he went on with them so I approached him.and asked watvis the matter and not a way to speak to ur customers and I want to speak to the manager...He smirked and said He is the manager n the owner....I said u mot as no owner does that to their customers.... told him I will be taking the matter up further he was rude and ignored me totally as speaking to myself....he's last comment was "these Indian People" I wentvinto the website and surprisingly not alot of negative remarks of this store...worse experience ever.... Disappointed that franchise uses people like these as there ambassadors to their stores..... He's dont care attitude and unapologetic persona is a no win to a business entity.

Major disappointing and non existent customer service at the Omni branch, my very first engagement with a petshop branch proved to be a rude awakening to hat sent me rushing back to my go to absolute pet across the road, the staff is rude they ignored customers offered no service

I've had many good experiences with Petshop science. I shop here monthly for both my cats' and dogs' food. Never had big problems and they usually have what I want in stock. However I've been noticing a something that changed when they've moved their online presence onto the Checkers Sixty60 app. A product would be advertised as much cheaper online, but when you go into the store the same product would be marked down, but not as much as it was online. It does not state that the deal is online only as far as I'm aware? So why is a product R50 more expensive in store than online through the Checkers Sixty60 app? If I ordered through the app, the same product would still be delivered to me? It's still on "special" but the special isn't the same as on the app. This is misleading as I've budgeted for the product but when I want to buy it myself in person, the product is no longer the same price as advertised online. This happened at the Richards Bay branch. The item I'm referring to is Iams dry cat food. Maybe someone else has noticed this as well.

As a dog ***** my wife and i were thrilled when Pet Science opened their doors last year November and to our amazement they had stock of ostrich products as our dog only eats ostrich treats. We were too happy to be shopping at Pet Science however this year we keep going every week to the store hoping to get ostrich treats for him but to no avail. This is extremely disappointing as the manager of the store says that they were instructed to remove all their ostrich products for dogs.

On Sunday 2025-11-09 I went to the Petshop science store in Estcourt as I was looking for a soft raw food for my Jack Russell. I asked the lady who was behind the counter for assistance with feeding instructions on one of the raw foods. She looked up at me and said "I don't know" and carried on doing her filing. False advertising! They advertise the Petshop Natural Dog Treats ALL VARIANTS on special and when you get to the shops only 2 or 3 types are on special! Besides the fact that these same treats' prices increased from R29.99 to R39.99!!!!! Very disappointing since I usually spend close to R2000.00 pet month on dog treats alone in these shops!!!!

If anyone wants to feel like villan for laying a complaint on a weekend. Please call the shop manager at Mayville Mall branch Alushka on a weekend. After telling her i am sorry for calling her saying i have a real problem at the store, on a Saturday and her day off, she said she will follow up on My complaint on Monday... great thank you no problem. Then I got a speach from her. Due to POPIA the store may not give me her number. I am disturbing her family time, and she has a choice to help or not help me. She then proceeded with. How would i feel if someone bothered me in my family time. To which i answered that in my job. I get contacted 24/7. And told her that het boss must call me urgently... guess what she ignored me.... ta da... She then told me she has a choice and dropped my call. How can a shop manage without a manager on a weekend? Is this the kind of service a manager is suppose to give clients... rude... dont care... whatever... ***** you you are a nobody anf i do not work for you.. .? Is this the way this company train the managers to act against/towards ciients? Is this client service? Dont they need clients to pay the staff? I dont even feel like supporting this company anymore even though i never got service like this. Why should i suppott a company that doenls not care about customer service or customers? People pls. Try not to support this company. If i got service like this. You may be next. There is alot of petshops with beter service... On Friday i hurt my shoulder becausr me as a woman had to take a 20kg dog food hogh of the shelf myself as the till attendant just looked and when i asked her if there was someone to help i only got an answwer with... in the back... great service... saterday i went back again as i forgot cat litter... 3 sitting at yhe till chattimg and guess what u had to wait for them to finish the conversation 1 st.... is that not reason enough to caal a managet and lodge a complaint????
