Dear Makro Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction regarding a recent order placed on 27th September 2025 (Order Number: OD435578981213491100) from the Makro Woodmead Liquor Store. The order included: 2 x Stellenbosch Vineyards Pinotage Red Wine 1 x Case of Unwooded Chardonnay White Wine (6 bottles) Upon delivery, I noticed the following issues: The case of white wine only contained 5 bottles. The 6th bottle was incorrectly replaced with one of the red wines I had also ordered. Then I received only one additional red wine bottle, but the missing white wine bottle was never delivered. The order was closed as "delivered" despite being incomplete. I logged a complaint under reference number #1I8QF and was assured via your WhatsApp team that the issue was being investigated and would be resolved. However, as of today, 4th October 2025, I have received no resolution, no refund, and no further updates. This is not the first time I’ve encountered issues with missing items and poor packaging from the Makro Woodmead Liquor Store. The manner in which wine bottles are packaged appears careless and even dishonest. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and inefficient after-sales service. I am requesting: An immediate refund or reshipment of the missing Chardonnay white wine bottle. A proper explanation for the poor handling and misleading packaging of the wine. Confirmation that my concern is being escalated to management. Please address this matter with urgency. I expect a response within 2 business days, failing which I will consider raising this issue with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO). Regards Dudu

Issue 1: Poor Customer Service from Makro Online I experienced extremely poor service from Makro Online. I reported a missing item from a promotional order (Order No: OD434292857607818100) and only received a follow-up call from Milicent Tsebesebe after two weeks. She assured me that the item would be sent and that it had been handed over to the delivery team. However, the next day, I was contacted again and asked to prove that I had selected the promotional offer—something that should be verifiable in their system. I confirmed that I had indeed clicked the promotion and requested that they consult their IT system for verification. Since then, there has been no further communication. Reference number: ID 4098640 Issue 2: Ongoing Delivery Problems and Lack of Support I placed an order (Order No: OD434711126091845100) which was missing two items. On Thursday, 19 June 2025, the order was assigned to a driver named Sipho, who claimed he had called me—though I received no call. He then showed me a screenshot as proof, which felt unnecessary and suspicious. The next day, Friday, there was still no delivery. I contacted Sipho directly, and he confirmed the order would be reassigned to him for delivery on Saturday. I also received an SMS from Makro saying my order was out for delivery, but again, nothing arrived. Today is Sunday. I used Makro's WhatsApp support to check the status, and it showed the order was supposedly out for delivery again. I waited to speak with a live agent, who simply rep**** that there are delays of 3–5 working days—without even checking the specific status of my order. That was the end of the interaction. Makro urgently needs to invest in better staff training, improve their order tracking and communication systems, and raise the overall standard of customer service.
Helpdesk WhatsApp line response is horrible, the take hours to respond then when they finally do the close the call immediately. And once you have logged a call the response time is very slow. Our router has not been working for almost a week.
Everytime I buy tickets I never receive the email have call in for them to email them. The info e-mail provided the is never a response. I bought tickets yesterday money went my account and I was able to download the tickets. But didn’t save them as the must be an email sent to me with tickets. I didn’t receive the email I then emailed the urgent that help me previously, she sent a screenshot that shows I did not pay, I then sent the proof of payment. I have not received feedback or the tickets. The event is today at 3.
Dis-Chem at Jabulani mall the door was closed at 9:10am 03/09/2023 because the are no pharmacist. I asked for a manager as this I was told by the security guard at the door he or she refused to come and address us as customers at the door. I had an emergency as my son had an allergy reaction.

Bought 24 wings at Chicken licken Sloane branch today using Ubereats the 23 pieces was wings and 1 piece was a chicken neck. The wings was also not fresh. I am so disappointed as this place 70% of the time they mess our orders. If you order full pieces you get wings or the other way around. It’s about time i report this franchise.
I bought a waist trainer and it was delivered on the 24 April 2023. Order no: #3081. I wore the product 4 days and realized that it has a defect as it started unraveling on the edge. I logged a query and sent a picture on the 29th April 2023 of the product defect on the Thabooty WhatsApp line and I was told that the query has been escalated to the relevant parties. Today 05 May 2023, I followed up as there was no feedback received. I was told about the return and exchange policies that I must just keep the product as there is nothing that can be done. The product cost was R999 plus shipment cost. Basically I am told that its my loss and I am must move on. I am extremely unhappy with the quality of the product and the after service thereof. As a first time buyer, i will not be buying anything from them ever again and would not recommend them to anyone. I am referencing the Consumer Protection Act which the store is failing to adhere to. "In terms of Section 56(2) of the CPA, a consumer may return goods to a supplier, without penalty to the consumer and at the supplier’s own risk and expense, if the goods fail to satisfy the requirements and standards contemplated in Section 55. Section 55 stipulates that goods have to be reasonably suitable for the purposes for which they are generally intended, of good quality, in good working order and free of any defects and should be useable and durable for a reasonable period of time (having regard to the use to which they would normally be put and to all the surrounding circumstances of their supply). Should a consumer receive any goods that fail to adhere to the requirements set out in Section 55, it can be returned to the supplier within six months after the delivery of the goods. The consumer may then request that the supplier either repair or replace the failed, unsafe or defective goods or refund to the consumer the full price paid for the goods".
