Have been using the Global Trader platform for a while and have noticed for the past few weeks that between $500 and $700 is deducted from my trading account EVERY DAY after trading hours. Have dealt with the Shares helpdesk which seems to be manned by aliens and after 2 weeks and $8000 have been transferred to "Complaints" who are just as useless and out of their depth. FNB have acknowledged that the problem exists and that "The Team" and "IT" are looking at it but no more contact. No more replies to emails and the phone simple rings. Yet every day after hours between $500 - $700 is deducted from my account and I honestly have no idea what to do next.
Woah!!!! An outright scam site. Phone numbers don't work. Emails aren't answered. I had to cancel my CC due to these clowns. Albanian site hosted in the Netherlands.
I challenge anyone to try cancel a subscription with Business Day / TBG Unlike other online publication where you can simply unsubscribe with a click of a button these clowns drag you along for weeks demanding reasons for your cancellation. In the meantime the subscription runs and deductions are taken from your account. TBG - I now understand why they're constantly in the news for all the wrong reasons.
Snail mail. Parcels leave and return to the warehouse up to 3 times before delivey. The national helpline number seems to be manned by martians who act suprised when you phone. Far better service providers out there.
They want to charge me almost 6k to end a contract one week early. This is a contract I've had for over 20 years. In that time I've been overcharged, had data and airtime mysteriously "vanish", been ripped off when using the phone overseas, been subjected to the drooling idiots at their helpline and stores etc etc They are the lowest of the low, bottom feeders, sharks, crooks or any other expletive-filled description you can think of. No wonder they are one of the most despised businesses in South Africa. I'll endure them for another week - then good riddance. Thanks Hello Peter for letting me vent my frustrations.
Impossible to activate account. Impossible to get a refund. You simply cannot contact them once you've taken out a subscription. R500 down the drain.
Worst customer service !!! Spent a month waiting to be connected and eventually gave up. Every time you contact them you get hold of a different person who redirects you to another inefficient person. All correspondence is done via a national call center.
Beware !!!! Once you're subscribed to their poor reporting you're in for life. There is no "Unsubscribe" button on the website and email Cancellation requests are ignored. I recently opened an CFD trading account with IG.com/za and funded it through the normal channels using a credit card. I am now trying to withdraw funds but am given numerous excuses and requests to provide all kinds of proof that I own the credit card I paid with. I have dealt with 5 different people up until now - each each requiring different information or documents. They are uncontactable by phone - numbers provided at the bottom of emails do not exist - so all contact is done by email or seemingly fax. Be warned ---------- I will update this case once I get refunded.
<p>I was interested in buying one of their trailers and paid a 50% deposit subject to viewing a particular one as I was out of the country. </p> <p>I subsequently changed my mind and advised them that I no longer was interested. </p> <p>They have refunded only half of my 38k deposit and are now refusing to take my calls or answer my emails. </p> <p>I have had to involve lawyers to assist in recovering the balance. </p>
