We took our Delonghi coffee machine in for repair end of 2025. We were informed the water pump needed replacing and that a quote would be sent. January 2026 we returned to the store in Goodwood to find out the status of the machine. They informed me it would be better to but a new pump in and that the cost was R650. They said we could wait and that it would take 30 min to install. We decided to leave and collect the following day at which point we were emails an invoice of R1500. When I called Letcha she said the unit is ready and that we have to pay the R1500 to release the machine. When I argued that the amount was not what was quoted and 4 hours labour was excessive she put the phone down on me. Delonghi is a great product I feel they need better representation in Cape Town.

Telkom has tried to revive their loss in market share with aggressive advertising and pricing, yet their fundamental flaw is their customer service. I sold my house October 2019. Cancelled the contract and paid the last invoice and moved out the house. My contact email was with Telkom SA. 10 months later I find out I’ve been blacklisted by Telkom for an amount of R4500. My suggestion to all users is to avoid any deals with Telkom SA they aren’t interested in helping you out, their automated customer set up doesn’t work as nobody follows up with telephonic enquirers as they simply don’t care or they think they are untouchable.
SAA's loyalty scheme VOYAGER in conjunction with STAR AllIANCE, is the worst loyalty scheme in the business. They sell themselves as one of the best and largest loyalty schemes but I challenge an individual to try claim your miles earned from flights completed. Having completed multiple international Business class flights as well as local travel this year, all of which were booked through the Star Alliance group. I am yet to be allocated any of my miles. We have made multiple enquiries telephonically and via email, only to be told that they will be credited in due course. 2 months later we are still waiting. My opinion look at KLM and Emirates direct, their schemes are more direct and their systems / online and mobile Apps actually work. Miles earned are miles gained for future travel. SAA make it as hard as possible to claim the miles earned - 3rd world service indeed
<p>Working on a new project we needed to make 26 concrete weights for a jetty we are building in Cape Town.</p> <p>Phoned Lafarge sales and got a quote for 4,5 Cubes of cement. We asked for proforma invoice and paid immediately. The delivery office called and set up a date for delivery with Time. On the day of delivery 1 hour prior to expected time they called and said they running 2 hours behind schedule. We asked them for a new delivery date and time at which point the delivery officer told me to phone the office and sorted my issues out. (very professional). I phoned the main office where I made the payment and got told they would come the next day, which they did. Lafarge delivered the cement and filled 19 .5 of the 23 x 200 lt drums. When we enquired why there wasnt the full 4500 lt of cement they again told me to phone the office, which we did now 5 times with no repsonse. I have emailed them twice and spoken to the front desk who keep assuring me the manager will sort this out. I would not recommend using them in the future!</p>
<p>Ordered and paid for bean to cup coffee machine from Ebucks.com, 2 weeks later aftre numerous phone calls I get told my order has been cancelled. No Stock. I then go to local store who has plenty of stock to be told that the price was too cheap on the website and that EBucks would be making a loss if they delivered. Hence the reason for the cancellation. Its been 2 weeks now and im still waiting for my refund. Ebucks.com will never see me again, they claim you get 30-40 % discount but they actually give you jack discount. I challenge you to go to their website and find a cheaper flight / car rental or sales purchase. Its a scam Standard Bank here I come.</p>
