I took out a contract to pay off a DSTV decoder from On Air more than two years ago. After the two year period I received a request to renew the debit order from my bank. I declined and phoned On Air (Rescue Box) and was advised that no such request was made by them. The debit order continued against my account. I queried it with Rescue Box and this was the subsequent email response from Lynn on the 19th January 2026. Ticket [#6390764] - Fwd: Removal of Debit Order after cancellation Good day Mike, Trust you are well, Kindly be advised that the Rescue Box has been cancelled off already as per your request. Please ignore debit order process as no active debit for the service has been placed as per the system. Have a blessed day further. Kind Regards, Rescue Box Team. The debit order continued. I phoned On Air (Nthokozo/Monica) reference No TKT-1002117472 a week ago who assured me that the debit order had been cancelled and that I would receive a refund in the next week or two. Their No. is 0861333535. The debit order went off my account again last night. 14/02/2026 In my opinion this is now theft and if I don't have any response I will lay a charge.
I reported a collision between my truck and a Taxi on the 18th June 2025 Dealing with a taxi can be quite difficult at the best of times as they have a loss on income while their vehicle is not working. To date despite numerous follow up calls, Santam has not even bothered to respond. This level of customer service is unacceptable.
I have two data contracts and a Prepaid subscription with MTN. I chose MTN because their tower was reset when I took out the contracts and I had very good coverage where I live. Since around about November the signal has been very inconsistent and recently the signal keeps dropping completely. I have contacted MTN coverage repeatedly and requested that the tower be checked. Sihle from MTN Coverage told me that the tower (Allenvale Farm Tower No. 3654) is down. They tell me that a request was logged for a technician to go and look ate the tower. But each time I phone they tell me that the tower is still down. The strange part is that Cell C ***gy backs on the MTN tower and when MTN signal is bad, the Cell C signal is till ok.
*** Old Mutual Not Responding after my policy matured after many years. *** My policy matured at the end of November 2024. I sent Old Mutual a reminder in October by email that my policy was maturing shortly. They asked me for the banking details and necessary documentation which I provided. They said the relevant department would contact me directly which they never did. I contacted Old Mutual via the 0860 help line. After getting through to an operator, I was kept on the phone for over a half an hour, at my cost and eventually terminated the call as nobody came back to me after taking my query. The reference No. is CCCNM27257474. I think Old Mutual's treatment of me is a disgrace after contributing to my policy for over 20 years, they are with holding the payout and now I have to beg for my money. The decent thing would have been for them to contact me as a courtesy at the policy maturity date, thank me for my loyalty and make the payment to me asap. Standard bank allowed *****ulent transactions on one of my accounts. They reversed one of the transactions, however the other *****ulent transactions have been ignored. I have contacted them by phone, (hanging on for ages) and emails but still there is no response. Even after getting a reference number (7059983997) for my call there has been no response.
I travelled all the way to JHB from Durban to the We Buy Cars dome in Randburg and purchased a vehicle there two weeks ago. I am very happy with the purchase. However the sales person was very unfriendly and off handed. However that is not my complaint. My complaint is that subsequent contact with We Buy Cars (the same sales man) to establish if the documentation has been couriered to me has been with with silence. How does a business operate like this? Is there not a standard process in place.
My vehicle was ****** recently. I have a Tracker fitted in the vehicle I contacted Tracker within an hour of the vehicle going missing. Although Tracker updated me hourly on their progress in recovering the vehicle, the vehicle, till now has not been recovered. My complaint is that the Tracker unit stopped sending signals from the last time I switched the vehicle off. From the time of the theft, no signal was received by tracker. The vehicle was ****** in a complex in Morningside, Durban. No explanation was given why this was the case. Only we regret to advise that the vehicle was not recovered. How can Tracker have a business model based on technology that can be circumvented so easily. Don't let Tracker give you a false sense of security that your vehicle is safe. It's not. In addition when trying to login to the Tracker app at that time , I received a technical error. Later I could login again. After paying for Tracker for many years on a few vehicles I am very disappointed that Tracker doesn't provide the service it purports to give.
I cancelled my loans which are in good standing with FNB. My conveyancers have been requesting cancellation figures from FNB's attorneys. It's been a month and a half and the cancellation figures still haven't been provided.
I have been trying to get a death certificate for Quinton out of Bunny Hop for two years now. They have taken R4000.00 but don't respond to emails and never give any updates. I received the last email from then on 14 Dec 2021. The agent is Keshini Pillay. I have now requested a refund, but still no response.
I wish to thank Vuyiswa Cele for her friendly and professional service. I had to follow up on a cancelled policy and it was done immediately once the correct documentation was provided. Miway however never actioned or responded to the initial email that was sent.
