We reverted from sliced bread to Spar baked bread because it tastes better... paying R8.99 a loaf. Then yesterday we bought a loaf and noticed that the price went up to R9.99 - what?? How do SPAR justify this jump of 11.1% when everything is coming down? Interest rate=down, Petrol price=down, and how do you think that the majority of people buying this bread suddenly received an increase equal to your increase in January's salary?

Today we went to get a few last minute items, we went early as it was nice and cool. Walked into Toyzone Centurion Mall and were hit with a heatwave... what an unpleasant way to shop - lots of people and no aircon???
Sitting at the shoe section close to the entrance, two people entered, one a kid about 14 the other an adult both men. This is Donna Claire so why are they in the shop - to buy a gift? But no, they both come sit on the square block I am sitting on no discussion between them, just sitting. All my nerve ends were on high alert - why, here? I immediately stood up and moved away to where my daughter was still browsing and then went to the change room with her. A few minutes later I went out to collect a different size item and they were still there... nobody in the shop approached them to assist - which leaves me wondering what was the purpose? Men in a ladies clothing store - something very fishy especially when staff do nothing at this vulnerable time of the year

The husband of a friend was taken to the hospital on Fri 30/08/2019 and collapsed as he entered the doors, after starting with vomiting & diarrhoea on Monday. It is now 5 days later and he has not received any treatment. Notes on the file indicate that blood glucose is out of control, no treatment has been apparent. After messing the bed all linen was withdrawn. There were no doctors from the time he was booked in until Monday 02/09/2019. No blood tests, no ICU referral, vomiting and diarrhoea continues and the man is in desperate need of medical attention. A mere 8 years after the opening of this revamped hospital, and clearly, staffing issues exist, medical doctors are scarce, and perhaps even racial mistreatment can be the issue. Family and friends are frantic as his prognosis appears very dire and he is the father of an 18-month son. Apparently, this is another casualty of the rampant corruption and care-less attitude that government employees seemed to have been infected with, and sadly this is now another white elephant that is placing people's lives at risk.
On 1 April 2018 my fridge started to make a weird noise, I requested a Service Call on Defy webpage. I received a reference no. on 4 April 2018 stating 2-3 day for technician to attend to the callout. The fridge is under 5-year warranty. The technician arrived 12 April 2018 after I had made numerous phone calls and sent a number of emails. The technician advised that he had to order a part and when the stock arrives he will return to complete the repair. On 16 April I called again and spoke to the Service manager who assured me the stock had arrived and the technician would arrive before Friday, 20 April 2018. Today Defy inform me the Service manager no longer works there, no surprise after the continuous lies, and now they say there is no stock (since 12 April 2018?) I am angry, disgusted and annoyed I paid over R8,000 for a product that they won't or can't supply service for under a warranty. This is totally unacceptable business practice and completely unethical. Never ever will I buy another Defy product and I will make sure that all my friends and business clients also know how they treat their customers - no respect!!!!
