I previously held an account with Absa business banking and have recently opened a new business account with them for a different venture. The online process was straightforward however, after the account number was generated, the consultant who contacted me was unable to proceed due to the fact that the shareholder of my company is another entity. Consequently, I was required to visit the branch to complete some necessary paperwork. Yesterday, at 08:01 AM, I received a text message confirming that the account had been opened, but it did not specify which account it referred to. This morning, I reached out to the new business banker assigned to me, who informed me that the account is closed. I then contacted Absa business banking, and the agent indicated that the account was closed on 04/04/2025 due to "complexity of structure." I suspect there may have been an error in the back office as it has been a month since I opened this account online. I hold the view that Absa is the leading provider of business accounts in South Africa and I would greatly appreciate it if the appropriate manager could expedite this inquiry on my behalf. I continue to support Absa and give a five-star rating as the service have always been exceptional in the past.

I TOOK A BOLT THIS MORNING AND SELECTED THE FEE. I THAN SEE A HIGHER AMOUNT WAS DEBITED AFTER MY TRIP. IF I PAID CASH, THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN. BOLT TOOK ADVANTAGE BECAUSE THEY HAD MY BANKING DETAILS. I DID NOT AGREE TO THIS AMOUNT. I WANT TO MAKE CONSUMERS AWARE TO ALWAYS PAY CASH WITH BOLT. DO NOT PUT YOUR BANKING DETAILS ON THEIR APP. THEY WILL TAKE MORE MONEY.
Good Day FNB. I opened a business account on the 26 January 2022 at your branch. I received an agreement which I signed. I have misplaced the agreement. I do have a bank account confirmation however, the agreement is required because I am going through an audit. I visited your Cornubia branch on Friday, the 03 May 2024 however, they were not able to pick up the agreement because the account is closed. They put me through to business banking and the consultant could not pick up the agreement because the account was closed. She advised that she will send a notification to another department to see if they can assist. This morning, 06 May 2024 I have contacted FNB business banking and the consultant advised that nothing was logged on Friday (I do have the name and surname of the consultant I spoke to on Friday and the call ended at 15:20 PM). The consultant engaged with her team leader to see which department can assist and advised that she will give me a call before 12 noon today to see if someone has called me. It is passed 12 noon now, I had to reschedule my audit to later in the day. As per legislation, records must be retained for 5 years. The branch and call centre was not able to retrieve the agreement from their systems and archives. You have put me in a very unfavorable position and this is not TCF. I spent over an hour at the branch on Friday and now this morning I have been trying to follow up again and the call cuts. I URGENTLY REQUIRE THIS AGREEMENT AND THE ACCOUNT WAS OPENED ON THE 26/02/2022. ACCOUNT NUMBER 62933078976.
On the 16 February 2024, I contacted Absa Fast Buy and the agent advised that she will request them to call me back and took me through the process. I also told her to make a note that they should email me. I gave 2 contact numbers. I did not receive a call back and no email. Please can I get a call or email asap as I cannot afford to pay unnecessary interest.
