The Stitching on a couch and occasional chair came apart almost weeks after delivery on a 60k + set. At the time I was assured by salesman Steve that it would be fixed however I should wait a while to observe if there was further damage. ( whatsap msg in my procession ). Forward 10 months later and I approached the company to sort out the faults on the set . They picked it up from my residence and I was emailed 4 weeks be one MITCHELL DAMULA who stated that I was now required to pay a fee of R3000 odd to rectify the fault of the company as this was their cost. This however was not the initial arrangement with Steve and myself. MITCHELL was extremely rude and pompous and with regard to returning emails and telephone calls very incompetent. I had to literally call and email non stop to get any response. I subsequently agreed to the amount after a lot of back and forth . There was a heated conversation in the store where MITCHELL then took it upon himself to retract the repair and simply stated that the company would no longer fix my couch set because of my attitude and various emails and that he was in charge. Therefore even after accepting the quotation to repair my couches and the couches were at their depot for +~ 5 weeks MITCHELL had the audacity to cancel the repair and send my couches back as it was when they picked it up,with no other recourse or offer to diffuse the situation. I am entirely shocked with this companies customer service. The individual calls himself head of customer relations but he is highly incompetent and authoritative. Reviews of this company speaks for itself as I am certainly not the only customer receiving such horrendous and biased treatment. Avoid this company at ALL costs , in a day and age where customer service is paramount, this is a company where it is entirely non- existent!
I received exceptional treatment from Marne troskie about a recent incident with one of the packets of dog food purchased. I have used their line for almost 5 years and it was a small problem but dealt with in an exemplary manner. The company prides itself in its product and being highly transparent about the ingredients in its dog food . I will continue to buy their line and highly recommend them to anyone else.
I dealt with an advisor named Prishaan/ Prishen from the Johannesburg branch . The issue was me not having space banked a week which I was not informed about by email or telephone. Rci claimed that I had lost this week at breakers due to no space banking. A telephonic conversation which took place in December ( roughly 3 months prior)on a totally different matter was explained to prishaan however he refused to accept this and said that this call was Rci informing me of my week which needed to be utilised or banked. However this call was in fact made by me , for a totally different matter.He then went on to say that I was emailed accordingly and after searching my inbox upto a year prior there was no such email received from Rci. Prishaan after this conversation hung up the call on me in a very arrogant and rude manner , I am actually shaken by the events. I have been a paying customer to RCI for more than 20 years and this is the first time I have been so rudely treated. It is also the first year that I have not received a telephone call reminding me of the week that I needed to bank. I will lose the one week purely based on RCI not informing me of its expiration, something I have been used to for decades prior. I have decided to sell my RCI membership based on this as I feel that some of the staff in an authoritative position are abusing the system perhaps for their own gain and the entire RCI scheme now leaves a somewhat bitter taste of which I am convinced of fraudulent practices going on. I would advise people to stay away from this Company , it seems I am not the only disgruntled customer .
I purchased a couch in late October 2020 to the value of +~R40 000. The couch was delivered to me late December. I was absolutely astonished at the blatant defects , water marks and quality of the couch . I immediately contacted Cathy Naidoo the manager and sent her a video. Before observing the video she explained that new couches were prone to have leather markings etc. I made it very clear to her that these were not markings in the hide I was referring to but rather defects, dirt, as well as some of the stitching that had come undone on a so called brand new couch. I also mentioned to her that the spots on the couch made it seem like it had been used before and was possibly not a new couch.( I have a 4min vid at my disposal which I also sent to her). At this point I demanded a refund which she said was not possible however based on the fact that the couch was defective I could get a credit and use the couch until I have decided what I wanted from the store. This was an attempt to satisfy me for their mess up of providing me an inferior perhaps second hand couch. I have ordered a subsequent couch as I had no other option , however I am not happy with Cathy’s attitude and the way she handled the situation. Furthermore I feel that based on the fact that this defective and low quality of product which SHF have agreed upon( otherwise they would never have granted the credit note) should have been refunded to me so I could decide if I wanted to buy from them again or not. The credit consumer act which I may engage if the second couch is not up to standard also allows me a 7 day cooling off period in which I may claim a refund in its entirety! I am utterly shocked at the quality of their workmanship on this couch. I will wait for the next couch which I was technically forced to order and then write another report .Not a company I would do business with again if given the option. With furniture outlets closing down left right and centre one would expect senior staff to treat their customers with a little more respect especially when they are at fault. Please be advised all videos, emails, pictures of the defective product is in my procession.
Please be very very careful of this company which sells fake perfumes . On the 27/11/20 I purchased 2 fragrances from them one being Versace Eros and the other being a Chanel men’s fragrance. When the fragrance arrived the next day I was quite concerned as the packing did not look like the authentic brand I had become used to over the years of purchasing duty free. When I opened the fragrance for the first time a week later I was utterly shocked. The bottle was a cheap knock off and the metal spray nozzle had started to rust. As for the perfume smell it was nothing like the original and lasted roughly 30mins on my skin before it completely disappeared. With the Versace I experienced a rash on my skin which has still not gone and I have had to see a dermatologist in this regard. I contacted the company directly via fb and email and their correspondence refers to the fact that I did not return with 7 days and therefore that Avenue was closed and secondly to the authenticity of their fragrances they say that they not represent to the public to be selling official perfumes but rathe imported version which are entirely different to the original. I am entirely shocked at this misrepresentation of the truth . They are selling complete FAKES disguised in what is suppose to be construed as an original . Even their fakes are of TERRIBLE quality and has caused me serious pain and skin irritation . Be very very careful if these scam artists , FAKE FAKE FAKE !!!
the fragrance man Sa, is the company I dealt with. I purchased roughly 3000R of fake perfumes in the form of 2 bottles 1)Chanel 2)Versace Eros . They were clearly fake as the actual sprayer on the bottle was rusting and color fading. Also been a Chanel use for 10 yrs or so I know the fragrance quite well. This fragrance sold was water perfume and smelt cheap and lasted 20mins. Please be advised , company name is “the fragrance man Sa” , don’t be duped into purchasing fake like I was , STAY AWAY!!
I paid her 640k to do my kitchen, walk in closet, bathroom vanity , and 3 bedrooms. Her CAD drawings were sensational , the finished product almost a year later absolutely shocking!!! The level of finishing was that of a handyman at best . My cupboards have turned colour, the wooden oak tops she promised turned out to be a cheap veneer, there are crack marks in many of the cupboards where she assured me it would be masterfully painted and palatial. I am utterly shocked at the level of workmanship in this company . She works with one single carpenter to cut costs and who seems to have very little knowledge and yet she charges exorbitant inflated prices . I am busy with a consumer protection case regarding this matter. If you come across this company or Agatha Harley herself please be cautioned, stay away!!
Great service and great products over the lockdown period , hardly ever seen an empty isle .
I was charged an amount of R453,12 on a booking that did not go through based on unavailability of tickets to Cape Town. While prior to entering my card details it’s said specific flight available. Is this the norm ??? As I would like to write a review on travel start , I find this unacceptable And fraudulent on the companies part.
<p>I recently wrote off my 3series bmw which i have owned from new. the car is out of warrantee . i have paid premiums on this car for more than 10 years now with ZERO claims.This is the third week that mutual says my claim is still being processed and no one seems to be helping me. I have been past from pillar to post and consultants constantly assuring me they will return my calls to no avail.</p> <p>The vehicle has engine damage according to panel beaters however mutual upto this point say they will only cover panelbeating expenses and not engine damage(even tho mechanic insists this damage was cause through the accident and nothing else).</p> <p>The panel beaters initial quote was in the region of 125k which was not satisfactory to the assessor who subsequently located a s**** vehicle(similar model as mine however s****ped) and planned to buy spares off this s**** vehicle there by reducing the quote to almost half.</p> <p>Therefore not only is mutual giving me second hand S**** parts on my absolutely pristine condition 3series but they are also refusing to pay for engine damage caused through the accident.</p> <p>The vehicle prior to the accident gave me absolutely no problems what so ever and was serviced regulary.</p> <p>It is now the third week and i have had no contact from consultants for the last 4days. No one has kept me informed and i am at my whits end with mutual and federal. I will certainly be canceling insurance on my other vehicles and personal home and business insurance with this company. I have never dealt with a more inefficient group who fail to keep me in the loop and give me closure on my situation.</p> <p>I would like to warn other policy holders and potential clients that mutual is a very sticky bunch to deal with especially when a claim arises. They have deliberately looked for reason NOT to pay me the vehicle book value and actively searched for loop holes and reason not to pay out- exactly what we do not look for in an insurer.</p> <p>I am completely and uttelry disgusted at this companies willingness to provide solution to my problem in a timeous manner!!</p>
