I have been a Standard Bank Private Banking client for ~15 years. Due to a steady decline in their service over the last several years (and general incompetence) I requested my private banker to close my accounts on 27 February. Despite several follow up emails and escalation to the Private Banking Suite manager my account remains open as of 17 March. A formal complaint was also lodged on the 12th of March. As per the Standard Bank website, the complaint should have been acknowledged within 24 hours with a reference number being provided. I have not received anything! As a Standard Bank Private Banking client you are severely limiting your ability to bank, because everything needs to go through your private banker, and if he / she does not attend to your needs, you're stuffed.
As an alumnus of Unisa it pains me to see what has become of this formerly great institution. Zero communication, poor quality instructional material and selling of student personal details to third parties. Got an SMS asking "Need help with EUP1501 assignments? Whatsapp 0682021794 or click .... We assist with other modules!" Absolutely ridiculous.
Absolutely useless experience in trying to get hold of customer service. The 081180 number does not seem to exist. Got hold of someone at sales that also referred me to this non-working number and then to another non-working one. How are you supposed to make contact with Telkom customer service. Load a stop on my debit order?
Migration from MWeb to Afrihost was promised within a timeframe of 24-72 hours. Initially I received good service on their Whatsapp support line but now that the 72 hour deadline has passed they have gone silent on me and the line is still not active.
The Lenovo "Premium Care" warranty means nothing. I purchased a Legion 5 laptop with a 3 year included "Premium Care Onsite Support" warranty and started experiencing problems with the laptop after about 1 year. When I phoned the call centre, I was routed to an agent in the UK who said that I should contact premcare_za@lenovo.com. I did so on the 20th of February and have not had any response from Lenovo whatsoever. Will not be supporting Lenovo in future.
Despite numerous requests to release line no progress made. Poor communication.

Cancelled my service effective 31 March 2021. More than a week later my line has still not been released!
Tried phoning them during their claimed office hours and was repeatedly cut off after a robot voice confirmed their office hours Pathetic
Made a purchase from them and paid, only to be informed that they do not have stock of the item. Despite requests for a refund, this has not been processed for months now. Reading through the other reviews on HelloPeter, this seems to be norm rather than the exception.
