Such a nice experience from them compared to the previous insurers. Claim processed within a day, and they phoned just to clarify everything.

Premiums keep being deducted months after cancelling
I'm not sure why there are so many good reviews here. I cancelled my insurance with them because of a bad experience. I cancelled in June and got sent an email that the last premium will be deducted on 2024/07/01. I just saw on my bank statement that payments are still being deducted. I phoned them and was told that someone would call me back which they never did.

Check that you know what you are in for with Oneplan
My dog was hit by a car, and I had to take her to the vet. The vet took x-rays, dressed and cleaned her wounds, and gave her medication. When I submitted the claim from this One Plan didn't even pay out 50%. When asked why I got peppered with all kinds of small print that I still don't understand. Also when she got neutered, One Plan paid out R120, even though when they sold me the plan I was told that it was covered. I'm not on the cheapest plan. I see there is a lot of good reviews here, so not sure if I'm an exception or if I didn't listen properly when the plan was sold to me, but I'm moving to another insurer.

Prepare to be SPAM CALLED many times every single day if you change to MTN!
Prepare to be spammed if you change to MTN! I receive up to 5 spam phone calls from MTN EVERY SINGLE DAY! I must have hundreds of blocked numbers from MTN on my phone. They just keep changing their numbers. It's disruptive to work and pretty much anything I'm busy with, but they just don't seem to care.

Clueless bank that will make your live even more difficult than it already is.
I closed a loan account with Wesbank weeks ago, but the loan installment keeps going off my account. When I call the support phone number I'm put on hold for 15 min, and then get cut off. I've left a complaint on their website with no luck! They have become a real headache. Nobody needs this extra nonsense and stress in their lives!

Avoid these guys. Stick to reputable online websites.
In short, I ordered vacuum replacement bags for a Philips vacuum cleaner from this website for R448. I checked reviews about them online since I haven't bought anything from them before. There were some dodgy reviews, some calling this website a scam. Some people also claim they changed their name recently. But here and there there were some positive reviews. Since I couldn't find this product anywhere else I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and placed the order. After 3 weeks nothing had arrived yet. I tried to contact them but got no reply. I was ready to write this off as a lesson learned when a package from them arrived. Sadly it contained only 1 vacuum bag instead of the 8 that I ordered. So at least I got something. Thankfully there are review websites like Hellopeter so that other people can be warned. Avoid scammers like these guys and stick to reputable online websites.

Duram Roof Paint peels off after 6 weeks.
We recently painted our roof with Duram Cooltech Roofcote. This is their flagship roof paint. We were told that it is good paint. We usually use Plascon or Dulux. We removed old rust and paint with a steel brush, replaced some of the roof sheeting, applied acrylic undercoat and then proceeded to paint the roof. Al was well till about 6 weeks later when the paint started peeling off EVERYWHERE! Even on the new roof sheets! The are paint pieces everywhere inn our garden and in our pool. Every time it rains there are more. By now half the paint is gone. Duram sent out a technician and we showed him our receipts. He did and inspection and told us that we didn't apply enough undercoat. And that was that. So save yourself a whole lot of trouble and just stick to Plascon or Dulux.

BE VERY CAREFUL with Luno!
Be very careful with this platform. The do not offer stop loss as a feature which means you are very vulnerable when the market crashes, which it often does. Most other platforms offer this. Also their website doesn't always allow you to sell if the market crashes (I guess because it's overloaded?). I lost a lot of money like this because they simply wouldn't let me sell. Confronting them with this got me nowhere.

Consistently good.
Been ordering from Takealot for a long time. I just had a very bad experience with another one of the newer online retailers in SA. So I thought I would take the time to commend Takealot on their consistently good service. It's always been a pleasure buying from them and they are the reason that I buy online regularly now:)
