Online means the ability to act speedily. An email sent to Truworths online on Monday 26th January, took them 5 days to reply to (on 31st January). Emails should be responded to within 24 hours.
Message received yesterday saying they couldn't deliver. My wife and I were home all day. Asked to send email and answer many questions on the phone. Today another message saying they can't deliver and parcel returned to warehouse. Person on phone put phone down when I expressed my feeliings on the matter.
On 19th November I had an order for a laptop cancelled. I paid R4990 to Makro. It is now the 10th of December and seemingly no progress or effort has been made to refund the money I have paid to Makro online. This is totally unacceptable and shameless on the part of Makro. To hold onto my money, when it is easily traceable is nothing less than thieveary. I am disgusted at being treated like this and having to endure the stress of not having access to my money.
I am fuming. Makro online cancelled my order after accepting my R4990.00 - cancelled on 21st November. Delivery was supposed to be on 25th November. I checked on delivery and discovered the cancellation. went to the local Makro to sort out. No joy. They confirmed cancellation. Reported on Hellopeter. They promised a refund, confirmed processing. Today, 30th November, I see a refund of R151.57 in my account? Where is my R4990.00? The incompetence is staggering. It seems to be a **** to get money, and keep it as long as possible. Earning interest on someone else's money. I moght end up with a heart attack trying to get my money back from Makro.
Steer clear of doing any online business with the Online part of Makro. I needed a new laptop, and decided to look online for one. Makro had what seemed to be a great deal. I had to borrow from the bank to find the R5000 for the laptop, but duly placed my order and paid for it on the 19th of November. I got a confirmation email and an order number the same day, and it said to expect delivery on the 25th November. This morning (25th November), I decided to check on delivery, so contacted their chat. Got told my order is cancelled. Asked questions that only a manager could answer, so I got told to expect a return call. By lunchtime, I decided to go to the local Makro. Spoke to several people, all very kind and trying to assist, even calling managers to help. No joy. I now still have no laptop, and apparently have to wait another 5 to 7 working days for a refund. This is a total stress maker.
I ordered a key fob for my bakkie in the first week of April 2024. Still waiting! My first email to them got a response..... item in customs and being shipped. That was in May. Subsequent emails just get an automated response. Then tried phoning. 40 minutes of expensive of holding on with no answer. Still waiting for my key fob or my refund. Should be a way to close this site down.
I had to replace a broken laptop, and had to look for the cheapest available. Game online had one on special for R2999. The next cheapest I could find online was R1500 more. I ordered, not expecting much in terms of performance. I ordered on a Sunday, predicted to arrive on Friday. It arrived on Tuesday, TWO DAYS after ordering, and I live in Malelane! Then the laptop worked perfectly. Everything exactly as specified. For an entry level laptop, I am very pleased. Great service from Game.
The Deck restaurant is part of the Rio Vista Lodge in Malelane, Mpumalanga. It looks over the Crocodile River at the world famous Kruger Nationel Park. One will see some of the wildlife while enjoying a sayisfying meal. Anything from a Tortoise to an Elephant could be seen. Hippo's, Buck, Crocodiles, Fish Eagles and Elephants are seen most regularly. The restaurant menu has the usual pasta's, fish, steak and desserts, but some of the specialities,Ox Tail, Mozmbican Peri-peri Chicken and King Prawns are all finger licking good. Highly recommended.
I placed an order with Truworths online (a gift for my wife for our 10th wedding anniversary on 18th February). On 7th February I received an sms which notified me that the item had been delivered to my local Truworths store. On 14th February I went to the store to collect it. It was not there. I went back o 16th February, repeated the whole procedure - still not there. Today, 17th February, I was phoned (and now my wife knows the whole story and there will be no surprise anniversary gift for her ****) and told that the item did arrive in the local store and it was then sent back with other items to the Truworths warehouse. They are looking for it. It was order number o300935154. I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted with the gross incompetence.
I have been trying to get a replacement battery for my Dell laptop for more than a year. The Dell workshops in Durban and Johannesburg refused point blank to supply without doing a lot of extra unnecessary work. I ordered from two suppliers (one via TakeALot) that supplied cheap Pakistani imitations that wouldn't charge on my laptop. After searching on and off every month or so (and getting a refund from a supplier in India), I found TechExpress. The picture of the battery looked right, so I crossed my fingers and made my payment on Sunday 11th April 2021. It is now 1.30 pm on Tuesday 13th April 2021, and the new battery is in my laptop, working well. 5 Stars for this quiet efficient competence. Couldn't be happier with the product or the service. Thank you.
