If I could give a 0 star I would. National Certificate: IT Systems Developer NQF5 (Full Stack Software Developer) that cost R49,000, Course Feb to Dec 24 Had to re-write a few modules and that was completed in March 2025. Then the follow-ups started about the certificate. In June, this was part of a response: "Since the final stage is dependent on MICTSETA’s review timeline, we unfortunately cannot provide an exact timeframe, as it varies based on their internal processes." I followed up again in September, with the same outcome of "we don't know and can provide an internal letter..." It is February 2026 and no certificate, further communication, NOTHING! I am beginning to seriously doubt the validity of AIE as an institute and reckon that the money was wasted for a certificate that would never materialise. In the mean time, my son has nothing to prove that he is qualified and cannot kick off his career as a software developer, or any other avenues that a certificate could steer him into.
If I could give a zero rating, I certainly would. I purchased two clothing racks from One Deal A Day. Upon delivery, I assembled one of them and hung clothes on it. The packaging states a load capacity of 35 kg. However, when I moved the rack a few centimeters (it’s on wheels), one of the feet snapped in half, causing the entire rack to topple over. I submitted a request for collection and a refund with the company. After some initial back-and-forth, I finally reached the correct department, only to be informed that unless an item is damaged during transit or has other faults, their policy does not allow for refunds. I completely understand the policy if the damage was my fault, but this approach contradicts consumer rights. It seems they have automated responses for all inquiries, as I keep receiving the same message repeatedly. I had to practically plead for the name of the representative I’m dealing with. Based on what I see on Hello Peter, don’t really expect a reply, but here’s to hoping 🤞
I'd give it a ½ star at best. Also realised that by looking at other Cell C complaints on this platform, they do not respond. Still, it's worth a try? Logging this on behalf of my husband, being the 3rd party on his end of the conversations and I feel beyond frustrated (he is just plain angry). After a very long conversation with customer care on 24 Feb (you know all the questions they ask) to upgrade one of his contracts, delivery of a new device was promised within 5 working days. Needless to say, we are now on working day 9 and he's been calling since Tuesday to find out what's happening. He's repeated his story so many times, been told that he needs to keep following up with delivery department. They transfer him back to retention/upgrade and so it goes back and forth. Somewhere along the line there was also mention of stock issues. Conveniently, the very 1st person who he spoke with and went through the process of upgrading, has now just disappeared. Seems that nobody he's spoken to since can trace that on their side. Here I thought electronic records are kept about interactions and in most instances, "our calls are recorded for..." Our whole family has been with Cell C for so many years that I can't even remember and I'm probably living in a bubble thinking that somewhere in my time customer service would go back to the agent on the other side actually being dedicated to the job he/she is paid to do. Maybe someone/a company surprises me still... Well that is us venting our frustrations towards Cell C and hoping that someone steps up to the plate and actually phones him back to resolve the matter 🤞
I paid R50,000 for an online course for my son last year and since his exams, there's not been a peep. No emails, or results, just complete silence. And so much for their WhatsApp and Facebook messaging options. Send anything there and you get a message that a student advisor will get back to you during office hours. Needless to say, no word from their supposed student advisors either. The money may be small change to some people, but it is not for me and now my son can't apply for positions because he has nothing to prove that he actually did this course. Starting to wonder
I received a wallet refund notification from Superbalist on 27 Aug 2019. Replied by advising that I opted for a physical refund to my bank. Never heard back, did not trace a refund in my account and the credit balance in my wallet is R0. Have logged several requests with Superbalist with no response whatsoever. We're talking about R699, not chump change for me. I never experienced such bad service when they ran under the Spree umbrella.
After both online & telephonic enquiries, I was sent document to complete to cancel 2 contracts. I emailed the completed form to ********** on 17 January 2018. Now I received a call regarding another contract from upgrades department. When I queried the status of cancellation submitted, the lady advised that there is no indication on system that the cancellations are even pending. Apparently it takes 30 days to process however, my worry is that it is not even on the system. Called 081180 (number provided by agent) however, it seems I'll wait forever to get through to an actual person. I would like the assurance that the contracts are cancelled.

Perhaps leaving a review on HP will yield results.

I received notification via FNB app in April that I qualify for Private clients Credit card. Followed the process, accepted and received confirmation that the card has been ordered and courier will be in contact to deliver.

After no word from the courier and noticing on my profile that a new card has been issued, I contacted my private banker via the app to find out when I can expect my new card to be delivered. No response and I then followed up again.

When wanting to process a transaction in a physical store earlier this week, it was declined. Apparently, someone cancelled the card.

Spoke to my private banker, not very happy at that time and said that I wanted my new card. According to her, the courier company has been trying to get hold of me for some time. If I miss a call from an unknown number and a voicemail is not left, then how must I know that it is the courier?

Finally, voicemail left yesterday - so unclear though that I could not return the call. They phoned again and wanted to deliver next Wednesday, which is not convenient. Then wanted to make a booking for Thursday. Someone phoned again this morning.

I am not willing to wait until next week for a card that was supposed to be delivered more than a month ago.

My experience with FNB has always been great however, this time round I am more than disappointed. Why should I follow up on a card delivery, why is an existing card cancelled when surely your system reflects I do not have a new card and why is the service from the private banker so shocking.

I want my new card, if not today then tomorrow. At the delivery address until 17:00 this afternoon and 14:00 tomorrow.
