My geyser sprung a leak on 17 September 2025 and I got a plumber out to check. He informed me the geyser was still under warrantee and lodged a warrantee claim with Kwikot. The Kwikot team was at my residence within 2 hours, but as it is an indirect solar geyser, I was informed that they will return 29 September 2025 to replace as they did not carry that geyser in their vehicles. They arrived at 09:30, replaced the geyser and was gone within 2 hours. Completed exceeded my expectation.
I have been with GoSolr for a bit over 2 years, and the service in general has been good. In April 2025 I changed my Bank details for the debit order and all was good, but suddenly for the August payment, the debit order went off to old account number. The account still exists, but there is no funds in there as it is not currently in use. R115 bank fees for a failed debit order, taken from the incorrect account, after collecting from the correct account for multiple months. This is unacceptable on SO MANY LEVELS.
Around 23 February 2025 I towed my second vehicle, a Ford KA to CME as the car broke down and did not want to start. I knew that is was related to overheating and also that there was most likely a major issue with the engine as a result. I was given a quote of R 42,000.96 to repair the car. Please note that the value of the vehicle is not near that. It included quite a lot of items, some of which I believed was not necessary. The car was towed to M.A.T. Mobile Service and I was informed that the quote that I received was not reasonable. The engine was checked and after being taken for engineering as required all was re-assembled and the final amount came to R25,000.00. I know different providers will have different costs, and I would understand a 25% difference, but being quoted 68% more is unreasonable. As CME initially looked at the car, stripping the engine I was charged R4282.05 to get the car released. I admit there was time spent, but even this is overcharging. I also need to mention that CME did tow the vehicle to my house when released at no cost, but when the work on it started, they did not send the head and parts with the car. I would NOT RECOMMEND that anyone uses CME.
So, on 2021/04/02 I somehow managed to make my TV License payment 3 times; Yes 3 times. R265 X 3. That was for 2021, 2022, 2023. I attempted to contact USELESS, I mean SABC but I got no joy. Decided It is fine as I have paid for the next 2 years as well. Credit R530 Invoice on 2022/02/01 - R265 - Credit R265 Invoice on 2023/02/01 - R265 - Credit R0 Please note that there is no interest on the above. Then roll forward to 2024/02/01 - Invoice R265. Admittingly, I did not pay this on the due date, but from May 2024 I started incurring "penalties" of R26.50 per month. That is basically 10% interest per month!!! I feel that if I needed to pay such an exorbitant amount, I should be able to claim the same amount for the time that I was in credit with the USELESS, I mean SABC. They are not a registered Financial Services Provider, so they cannot give credit or charge interest.
So, against my better judgement I ordered a Dell 65W 19.5V 3.34A Black Small Pin Laptop Charger from Takealot. The reason is that a delivery for a Dell charger from a reputable distributer takes between 2 and 3 days and I urgently required a charger. I got the charger next day, but it is literally a no name brand AC ADAPTER. The add states "Dell" charger.... The picture for the item has the Dell logo on... Yet, they send me a no name charger. I am not happy and believe that this is BS advertising. Thing is I am forced to use the knock off as my old charger does not charge at all.
I requested a quote for 2 Inverter Type 9000 BTU air conditioners and Xtreme Thermo was the cheapest quote by far. (More than R2,000 cheaper than other quotes). Terry and his team made the appointment for today and were here on time, and completed the installation of both units in less than 3 hours. I can highly recommend Xtreme Thermo as their service is fantastic.
I app**** for the GoSolr Large Package at the end of May 2023 and was pleasantly surprised when phone by Sparki to install my system 2 weeks later. They were an hour early for the installation and started at 08:15 and were all done by 15:30 the same day. I am a bit of a techno geek and had hundreds of questions which they answered without hesitation. André, Gary and Red are a fantastic team and I can highly recommend them. I need to also mention that there was a minor issue with an outbuilding that was completely disconnected from power after the installation which I only realized after the installation team left. I phoned André the next morning and he was on site and resolved the issue by 12:30 after the call at 08:15.
The appointment was for 09:00 on 13/06/2023 and to my surprise they arrived at 08:15. The installation was completed and working as expected by 15:30. I can highly recommend Sparki, specifically the team of André, Gary and Red.
I have been a customer with Axxess for nearly 10 years now, and there have been some issues along the way, but I need to give credit were it is due. I have had FTTH for 4 years now and yesterday evening after 17:00 I applied for my service to be upgraded to a higher speed. I received a message that the upgrade was complete at 20:47 last night and everything is running as expected. There are a lot of negative comments on HP with regards to Axxess, and I would advise that you go to their Facebook page and lodge your queries there. They respond quickly and from my point of view, they deserve the 5 ISP of the year awards that they have won.
Ordered and paid for an item on 4 November 2020. Delivery by 6 November 2020 but the item remains as "Not Yet Shipped". I have not had any previous issues with Takealot, but unfortunately people do not talk about what you do well, only what you do poorly. Unacceptable that I am not kept informed of the status. I logged a call at 12:00 and have not even received a response other than the standard automated email. Also, it seems impossible to get anyone on the phone to get more information. Horrible customer service.
