On the 6th February 2025 I placed 2 orders (Order # 111-3355285-2007431 and Order # 111-1418552-0270623) with Amazon. The order was successfully processed without any conditions or warnings. The two orders were placed in one box ie sent together. I have subsequently been waiting for my order which has never arrived. I have been checking on the Amazon site to track the parcel and the tracking links have indicated each day that the parcel has been cleared by customs each time. Aramex has never contacted me in this whole period since the order being placed. Yesterday I contacted Aramex who then emailed me that I need to make an application to receive my order of over the counter health supplements which are being held by customs pending SAHPRA application/approval which will cost me R350 plus the cost of a doctors consultation to justify my requirement for the supplements' that I have ordered. CRAZY! Amazon never warned me that this situation could occur causing me to lost the R1260 I spent! I have tried all on the website of amazon ad my case does not fit in with ant of their scenarios. I cant return the item for a refund as I haven't received it! Nowhere can I find how to communicate directly with amazon.com by email, only a direct very costly international phone call. Be very careful when dealing with Amazon. Buy local.. I bring the following to your attention: 1. I was never warned when ordering that there would be complications with bringing this into South Africa and that it would incur additional huge costs to me! 2. This order is currently sitting in a holding facility until I pay R350 to send in an application form and in addition spend R600 to visit a doctor and have him fill in a form motivating my purchase of an over the counter non regulated substance that I can purchase over the counter in South Africa. This effectively means that I will be shelling out an additional R950 to apply for approval that may not even be issued apart from my wasted time. This is ridiculous when I could have just purchased the two items locally for a fraction of the combined costs. I needed the substance and have now ordered it online locally. 3. I have been a loyal customer of Amazon US and Amazon UK for many years and have to date had good service. This is a big disappointment. I am now financially compromised as a pensioner and cannot afford to waste this amount of money. Please refund me for the two orders and associated shipping costs, import duty etc. as I am not in any way to blame for this issue. I strongly recommend that Amazon places warnings to anyone in South Africa contemplating a purchase of this type as a poor refection of Amazon will result!
Reliable honest electronic component and equipment supplier. Pleasure doing business with!
Today I visited the Checkers branch in Southway Mall Rossburgh to do some shopping. When I was approaching the tills a TV screen that displays adverts was placed so low that when I walked towards the till I had a chunk ripped out of the top of my head by the corner of the one of many monitor units that are placed far too low. I am only 1.83m tall and the screen was placed far too low. The people at the checkout witnessed the incident. The top of my head was bleeding afterwards. I was unable to speak to the manager who was absent and forced to speak to an "assistant manager" who did not have a clue with regards to health and safety. I asked where the h@s register is and was told that "oh we don't have access to that". It seems that this store is in violation of health and safety regulations. In addition, in the past I have had cause to complain to the "managers" on many occasions about items on the shelves lacking prices and customers not being able to see the price of things on a display wen they are rung up. In conclusion this is a poorly run store!
Professional, reliable and honest company. Speedy delivery of orders. All of my orders have been delivered rapidly and fulfilled without error. A highly recommended online electronic supplier.

I had my vehicle (Renault) serviced by Michanic last year on 27/09/2022. Before the service I expressed my concern that I did not want to lose my warranty and the vehicle service had to comply with the OEM requirements for that particular service (4th year service). They assured me that all was in order and that they were accredited by RMI. I have just had an injector failure which was repaired by Renault at a cost of R15789.74. Renault rejected my warranty claim because the fuel filter was not changed during the 4th service done by Michanic. This means that the service did not comply with Renaults requirements which were express requirement by me so as to retain my Renault warranty. Michanic stamped my vehicle service book indicating the service was correctly done. I have approached Michanic asking for compensation for my huge outlay of nearly 16 thousand rand which as a pensioner is not affordable. They brushed me off saying that they only did a minor service claiming the filter replacement was not part of a minor service. 1. The cam belt was changed on this same service by them. This means it definitely wasn't a minor service! 2. I expressly told them beforehand that the service MUST comply with the terms of the vehicle warranty. It did not! I approached RMI with all of the relevant documents, only to find out that they had not updated their website and Michanic is no longer an accredited member of RMI. They told me that they could not help me because Michanic was no longer a member. So much for consumer protection from RMI! I was told by RMI that they can't help me because Michanic is not a member (anymore) and that I should register a complaint with MIOSA the motor ombudsman instead. I downloaded MIOSA forms to be confronted with race questions at the beginning of the form. ****** is no longer supposed to exist and I refuse to fill in any questionnaire with race based questions on it!! As a result I am left high and dry other than having the option of taking the matter to small claims court. This casts a very poor light on Michanic. Why did they not renew their membership? Incompetence? MICHANIC IS NOT AN ACCREDITED MEMBER OF RMI. Do not use these people to service any vehicle that has a warranty. Any warranty claim WILL BE REJECTED by the vehicle OEM because of lack of accreditation or as in my case not doing the service correctly. Save yourself a lot of heartache and expense by giving this bunch a very wide berth and use a reputable recognized service company or the OEM instead.. Penny wise pound foolish. Avoid them.
It is from great frustration that I write this. Renault has the worst customer service I have encountered ever in my many years of life. My Renault Duster was towed to Renault south Durban Mobeni on Monday the 19th June because of engine breakdown. I received no communications from them at all and had to phone myself to find out what was going on. I was told that they would have to put in a warranty claim but would need to "diagnose" the fault. It took them three days to determine a faulty injector and only then app**** for a warranty claim. My vehicle although 4.5 years old has only thirty odd kilometers mileage so there is no wear and tear. I was told on the 22nd June that the warranty claim had been rejected because the fuel filter had not been changed on the last service (4th year service) which was done by a MIF approved but non Renault agent. The Fuel filter had been changed on the second service by Renault and the breakdown and warranty claim kilometers was far less than the 30000km max distance between the first and forth service. Renault have used this to repudiate the warranty and charge me R15790 to change one injector which in itself is highway *******. The price that would have been paid for the warranty claim by liquid capital would have been R11000 which is still outrageous. Why is the Renault customer being penalized extra money? I have posed a series of questions in point form to Renault South, a person by the name of Carmen in the service department. I have requested the repudiation of the claim in writing as well as the exact work and components involved in the nearly 16000 rands worth of repair. I posed the question that if the injector fault was faulty, why only one if this issue was fuel filter related. Despite the fact that I have sent the email many times, Carmen has never rep****. Today the 27th June I phoned her out of exasperation and asked her why she was not answering my emails. I had also requested that my mail be forwarded to the dealer principal. She told me that "oh I haven't read my emails for a few days, that's why". I have copied my email to Renault Head Office customer support as well as a whole lot of other Renault related email addresses. I was copied in a male that was sent from Brett Pyle asking the dealership to respond. Carmen after telling me that the warranty claim had been rejected last week asked me to mail her telling them go proceed with the work and I would pay. I need my car urgently and badly. It was my intention to pay and fight the battle afterwards with Renault and the company that did the service referred to. I sent her a whatsapp message as well as an email with regards to this. She rep**** via whatsapp telling me that she was ordering the part(s) there and then and they would arrive on Tuesday (today). When I phoned today to find out when my car would be ready today she told me that the parts had not arrived. I told her that she had told me that the parts would be here today and she denied this and told me the parts could take longer to arrive. I am now in the position that I am clueless as to when I will get my much needed car back. I am a pensioner and rely on my car. At no time have I ever been offered a courtesy car or any form of assistance by Renault. About year ago my windscreen wiper motor failed and had to be replaced under warranty. I had to drive around for almost a month with a vehicle that was not roadworthy due to the replacement wiper motor having to come from overseas. Beware of buying a vehicle from Renault South Africa. There is good reason why they have such an abysmally low customer trust score on hellopeter. I will NEVER recommend that anyone purchase a Renault in future as I used to do in the past. Their customer service is abysmal. They have zero communication skills and are severely lacking in integrity. As a retired project Manager these are all of these missing skills are regarded as essential for success. With regards to purchasing a Renault, THINK, DONT DO IT. I sincerely hope that I am saving some people the whole lot of misery that I am being put through by Renault!.
I have dealt with this company for a number of years. They have always been reliable, prompt and honest in their dealings with me. They are the one stop shop for raspberry pi equipment as well as Arduino. Their delivery is as fast as can be provided by the courier and my orders always reach me in two days or even less! A well deserved 5 stars.
I have unhesitatingly given this company 5 stars! Dealing with this company is like a breath of fresh air. They are prompt, have great prices and are reliable. I am extremely happy to have discovered them and will definitely use them for future electronic component needs. Highly recommended.
