Absolutely shocking after-sales service! I was a customer of theirs for more than 3 years. I sold my house and the new owner took over the existing contract. Hope da Gama from their retention department assured me 10 days ago that she was busy cancelling my debit order and transferring everything into the new owner's name. Come the 1st of December, after I had moved out and despite Hope's assurances, I was debited just under R3000! I phoned to complain (as I had done numerous times about this) and was told the account was still in my name because the new owner hadn't completed the necessary documentation. I immediately contacted him and he said he had completed everything asked of him. Through all of this, there was NO correspondence from Hope to keep me in the loop. Here I sit on the 4th of December and I am still waiting for my money to be refunded. GoSolr can Go and you-know-what!
A seamless, painless experience ordering a Dell laptop at an extremely competitive price. I highly recommend Super Communications!
We had problems with my wife's car after taking it to another mechanic for a service and new front shocks. We were quoted and arm and a leg by that mechanic to rectify the problem so we decided to go to CARtime Westgate to see what they couldf do. They sorted the problem out in less than a day and charged us less than R500! Their mechanic Jeandre, in particular, was brilliant! Big up to owner Stephan and service manager Ramon for what I can only descrive as exceptional service!
My wife, who drives a 2005 Mazda 3, had been going to Colin Auto Repairs for a while so despite the fact they moved further away from us, to a much larger premises, she took her car there a while ago for a service. She was then phoned and told her car needed new front shock absorbers and she gave them the go-ahead to do the replacement. When we went to fetch the car, it was barely driveable, veering all over the road, so the next day we took it back. We were then told it had been sent for wheel alignment and was fine (surely wheel alignment after replacing shocks is standard practice and should have been done the first time?). Well, fine it was not! Every time my wife went over a small bump or through a dip in the road (never mind a pothole!), there was an ear shattering t******* noise coming from the front right-hand side of the car. This was not there before the shocks were replaced, so we took it back to Colin's AGAIN. After already having forked out R15291.55 for the service/shock replacement, we were told the problem was a broken engine mounting and faulty control arms. We were quoted R2054 (ex VAT) for the supply and fitting of the engine mounting and R2750 (ex VAT) for the supply and fitting of new control arms. We decided to get a second opinion and took the car to the Westgate branch of CarTime. They were absolutely brilliant! They removed the right-hand shock and discovered it had been incorrectly installed, with the feeder rod out of place and unable to sit in the groove in the shock housing. They worked their magic and eventually got the shock properly seated, charging us the measly sum of R486.50 for their efforts. Since then the car has been fine and the noise is gone. The question is: Why were we quoted for a new engine mounting and control arms (both of which CarTime confirmed were perfectly fine) by Colin's if those were unnecessary? Colin's won't be seeing us again!
My wife and I use Uber regularly. Every time we have gone to my daughter's house at the top of Northcliff hill, we have had no problem getting an Uber there during the afternoon. However, we have more chance of winning the Lotto than getting back home. On Saturday, we waited forever to be connected to a driver and when we finally were, they just bailed on us. Not once, but TWICE! I eventually had to get a mate to bring us home. Totally unacceptable service!
The Betway app is useless. When you go in there is no option to log on. And when you want to withdraw funds, that facility is NEVER available. Total ******. I have created an account with another betting site and will never use Betway again!
What a shocking experience at Mintys Tyres on the corner of Hendrik Potgieter and Gordon Roads in Florida! My wife and I took her car there this morning to have new tyres fitted. Firstly, it is in the Clearview Motor Village and one of Mintys neighbours was having some sort of promotion. They had set up 2 massive speakers outside their dealership (Omoda and Jaecoo) and the volume of their music (which was ****** awful) was simply deafening. It was so bad that my wife and I had to shout at one another to be heard if we stood outside. Then, after the new tyres had been fitted, one of Mintys employees attempted to drive a bakkie off one of the lifts next to my wife's car. The bakkie was in first gear so as he tried to start it, it shot forward off the lift and bumped into my wife's car. One of the other employees who saw what had happened offered to "polish out" the scratches on my wife's car, an offer we declined. When I pointed out what had happened to the manager, he took me to the employee concerned and asked him directly if he had driven into my wife's car. He denied doing so (a bald-faced lie), despite the fact that the other employees in the vicinity clearly told us he had done so. Only when the manager checked video footage did he admit that his worker had, indeed, hit my wife's car. Worst of all, the manager then allowed this same employee to drive my wife's car around the block after our wheel alignment had been done! Her car does have other dents and scratches, but to me it is the principle of the matter: There was no apology from either the stunt-driving employee or the manager. Minty's Tyres Gordon Road will never see us again and I recommend anyone needing tyres to avoid them, unlike the employee who managed to target my wife's car!
So, guys, yet another complaint. We had a large GoSolr package installed on February 14 this year. The installation was fantastic and the guys did an excellent job. I then contacted GoSolr to request a letter detailing what we had so I could have the system insured. Imagine my surprise when I was told I had an 8kva inverter, 14 panels and 2 batteries (the middle or large package). The installers put in 8 panels, a 5kva inverter and one battery at our place (I have photos of the installation to prove this). I emailed hello@gosolr. co.za at least 10 times and must have phoned at least another dozen times to have this sorted, but as with the other complainants, no one bothers getting back to me. I have already paid my first monthly installment of R2900 (by debit order), but don't have what I am being charged for! This is totally unacceptable and is indicative of a company that doesn't give a sh*t about its customers.
I bought a 4.5litre air fryer from them. The total cost was just under R1,000. The icons on the front of the air fryer bore no resemblance to those on the instruction manual. There was no menu button and no buttons to control time or temperature (although those were all illustrated on the manual). I have sent One Deal A Day numerous emails, etc requesting a refund and asking them to collect their piece of junk, to no avail. However, I still receive at least half-a-dozen emails from them a day advertising their latest product. You caanot contact them directly (ie. speak to a person) as there is no telephone number listed anywhere on any of their websites.
Never, ever use IM Appliances to get your kitchen appliances repaired. They came to repair my fridge, charged my R940 for the "repair", a regas and callout and a day later the fridge was the same. Numerous calls to them to rectify this were ignored. They are true rip-off artists.
