I cleared my Makro loan account, but their statements only go out in the middle of a month. Upon receiving the statement, I realized I overpaid my account. Now it is an endless struggle to get my credit amount back and I am left having to pay for admin charges (monthly services) due to the account being in a credit balance. When I phone Makro everytime, they say I must wait 7 to 14 days. For them only to get their admin monthly charges. I am fed up having to struggle with this as I am a good customer for many many years!
I have been a FNB client for many years. My husband and I are married IN community of property, we therefore use only one bank account. Both salaries go in that account. All debit orders and expenses goes of there. My son started to study this year and I wanted to apply for a student loan. I went to the branch. Waited 57 minutes, to be told it can only be app**** for online. I app**** online on 3 February 2025, where FNB says 24 hours and the money is in my bank. I received a sms saying I must email my payslips. I did. FNB did not respond. I called a week later, only to be told I need to send payslips. I did. FNB did not respond. I called days later, only to be told my application has been declined. The first time in 20 years that any application of mine has been declined, and that by my bank. The reason – my salary is paid in my husband’s account. It is OUR account. W use it together as all our income and expenses are done as ONE. Not two different individuals with each their own account as if married out of community of property. I explained it so nicely and properly on my email below. I asked if I can speak to a supervisor / manager and was told to go through complaints. Whereafter someone will get back to me. But I have to speak with a machine or online, not able to explain the situation. I have an excellent credit record. An excellent way of handling my bank accounts with FNB. Never FNB complain about my salary not being paid into an FNB account. As long as I pay my credit card, FNB is satisfied. Now that I need my bank to help with a loan for studies, I am treated as a ********?? Declined?? It this the way you treat your customers? Very disappointed. Will be closing my accounts with FNB before end of this month.
I really would like to give a compliment where it is due. This is for Stephen that was the one running around doing something about everything. He really went out of his way to have my car quickly repaired, took my call every single time and had baskets full of patience with me. Certainly recommendable as an employee and a service deliverer.
Last year in July, I gave notice to Cell C to end ****le stick contract. They read the e-mail, but did not cancel the contract. End of that month, I received an invoice. Again I contacted them, they said they will cancel, but did not. After that, books of communication has been going on between me and Cell C, but they do not credit the "arrear" amount as they are suppose to. They handed me over to attorneys, and I explained to them as well the whole useless situation. Yet, they keep calling me. And now my credit score is affected as I am 2 months in arrears with Cell C (WHICH I AM NOT!!!)
Vodacom My phone was stolen. I do not have another phone or sim card to phone you and report it. When I logged into MY VODACOM it says my account is in arrears. Eventhough I paid the full amount last week already AND when I wanted to see how much I am in arrears, it says amount owed MINUS R 1.64. I cannot request the call me back option, as my account is apparently in arrears. How am I supposed to reach you during this stressful and traumatic time????
Useless services. Unadvised. Unprofessional. Rude staff. At the call centre, Vodacom Kolonnade and Vodacom Menlyn. I dropped my phone two days ago during a sanitizing/form completing ritual at a supermarket. The screen cracked. Phoned Vodacom to find out if the insurance will pay. I have been with Vodacom since 2003. Never claimed insurance. They told me that I am covered. I can go to ANY Vodashop closest to my home. I went to Kolonade (15km from my house) after specifically asking if I can go there. I do not want to go into malls at this stage as I am a non-essential worker, work-permit only allowed 10km from my home. Stood in the que for 40 minutes. Suffocating with the mask as an asthma sufferer. When I finally got inside, I was told to go to Menlyn. I phoned Vodacom call centre again who apologized and said I must go to Menlyn. I went there (another 10km further) Stood in the que for 37 minutes. They informed me that my phone must stay there for 7-14 days as insurance first have to approve, then the screen ordered, then the fixing. I said I can't leave my phone there and no-one said I will be without my phone for 2 weeks (which I use for work). They sent me to back-up, where I was told to purchase a USB stick for back-up AND pay R200 for the back-up. I asked what the excess will be for the screen fixing and was told that they don't know. The quote will only show. I left everything and returned home. Spending 4 hours on the road and in the two shops, paying parking mall tickets, data to phone everytime. I will be fixing my screen at a Pakistan shop for R 1000 which take 2 hours. No fuss. Vodacom insurance a waste of time and money and emotions. Staff at the two shops are never-minded, ill advised and thinks everything is a joke when customers outside is frustrated with their service
Yesterday, for the 4th time, I went to Northpark Mall to look for something I needed urgently. It was 16:50 and Ackermanns was again already closed. Only people inside were allowed to exit. All the other shops next to- and opposite Ackermanns were still open. I asked the staff member when she opened the door for someone to exit that I need something urgently and she said CLOSED. I said it is not yet 17:00 and she made a gesture with her hand to shrug me off. I took a photo of the office hours and the lady started laughing and chatting with other staff members and made fun of the whole issue. Several people already complained that that particular branch closes before 17:00.
