I bought a Defy microwave oven in December 2022 via the Avo Nedbank app from Hirsch's. It initially arrived late January (after many follow ups from my side) but with dents on the top of the microwave. It was returned and a new one delivered in February. (Note that this was a Christmas gift for my mom). In September my mom complained that the food is getting burnt and the containers extremely hot when she uses the microwave oven, even for a few minutes at a time. I informed Avo who arranged collection. After 3 weeks I still had no response, no communication, not even a collection note was provided to me. Then I received an email stating the microwave is on its way back, not explaining what was wrong, what was fixed, or any sort of report. I phoned Hirsch's Edenvale directly and Casandra promised that she will obtain a repair report from Defy and send it to me. I am still waiting for it. The day the microwave oven arrived back, we opened it only to find the steel panels were bent and not properly closed, therefor not safe to use. I have logged another call with Avo and it's now been almost a week without response from anyone. I will not recommend it to anyone to buy online from Avo or Hirsch's. My personal opinion is that this was a reject or demo microwave sold to me.
Please avoid buying from Deal hub and Reliable store. It is 1 company, they do not deliver items in time, in fact I have been waiting for almost 3 months for an item ordered for my son. A month ago, I requested the order to be cancelled and my money to be refunded and ever since they have been making promises, playing for time. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Rather buy from local stores.
I was looking for a new printer. Found a great price at PC Link shop online only to wait for 2 weeks and after follow up was notified that the supplier had problems. I cancelled the order and ordered from Hi-fi corporation online. I immediately received a tracking number and regular updates on my order. Within 4 days it was delivered at my door. Awesome service, will recommend them to anyone!!
I bought a Hoover hand vacuum on Makro online for my mom when she turned 75 late last year. It helps her a lot to keep her room clean. The vacuum suddenly stopped charging and is not working anymore. After numerous attempts, calls and emails, I have yet received an indication from Makro as to how I can exchange this. I have been trying for almost a month, with Customer care promising every week that they will collect the item. I was also told that I can't exchange it at a store.
Orders were placed for Easter products at the end of March 2021, payment was made in full. Products were delivered days after Easter and some customers were informed that due to damages not all items could be delivered and a refund may be requested. I immediately advised them of my wish to receive a refund and provided my banking details. Almost 2 months later, and after many promises, refunds have still not been made. Telephone numbers do not exist or are not answered, emails are not answered and a message left for the Owner Andrew Kemp had no result. I do not recommend anyone to do business with this company, also known as Sweets Sensations.
On 3 August an agent from RewardsCo phoned my mom (75 yrs) to offer her assistance in upgrading her MTN contract. She accepted the offer as she try to avoid going to shops and the agent suggested a new package and promised her that she will have her new phone delivered to her door within 7 days, 5 Weeks went by and I decided to phone them to find out what is happening. I spoke to Tyron who told me the order was stuck and he will immediately escalate it and she will receive an sms. 3 Days later still no sms and I phoned MTN. They could not assist me as the order was done by RewardsCo and if my mom wanted to upgrade directly with MTN she would have to request a cancellation from RewardsCo. The next day my mom receives an sms stating that she needs to pay R684 to have her order finalized. I phoned on 9 September to cancel the order and spoke to Miya who advised she initiated the cancellation and my mom will receive an sms confirming this. 2 days later still no sms so I phoned again and spoke to a manager Trissa, who informed us that a cancellation can take up to 14 days. My mom's upgrade has been delayed by almost 2 months because of the incompetence of a company used by MTN. I suggest that they re-look their business association with Rewardsco as they are negatively impacting on MTN's reputation. And never accept to do your upgrade or new contract through them!!
Please do not use Timefreight couriers. They do not keep their promises, they do not deliver on time and they do not communicate with the customer at all. The customer needs to follow up and even contact them to find out what the delivery charges are as they just pitch up at your address and demand the payment. Very poor service.
