I travel a lot and recently needed a second bank account in case something happened to my Nedbank account. I decided to open one with Capitec at the Chatsworth branch because of their affordable fees. During my first visit, the consultant who assisted me opened the account and advised me on which app to download. However, she struggled to get me signed in for over 20 minutes before saying the system was offline. I left to return to work and kept trying to log in every 15 minutes without success. I even called the Capitec helpline but was told I could only be assisted in-branch. This meant leaving work again for the second time that day to return to the branch. Thankfully, I was assisted by Nokwanda Dlomo, who was absolutely amazing! Within 15 minutes, she found the root of the problem — my nephew’s Capitec account was still linked to my number. Once I provided a new number, everything was sorted out perfectly. If the first consultant had taken a little more time to investigate, it could have saved me multiple calls and an extra trip. However, I truly appreciate Nokwanda’s professionalism, patience, and commitment to resolving the issue. She’s a gem! I left for Ghana the next day stress-free, knowing I had a working backup bank card. Thank you, Nokwanda Dlomo, and well done to Capitec for having such a dedicated team member!

Last year, my husband bought a 2024 VW Polo Vivo and insured it with MIWAY, signing up for Cartrack. We paid extra due to the car’s "high-risk" status, with Cartrack boasting a 90% recovery rate and up to R150k in claims if ******. Sadly, on January 3rd, our Polo was ****** while we were at the Chatsworth pool. Here’s where things went wrong: Insurance: The car was registered as a 2023 model, not 2024, so our insurance only covered the finance, losing our R50k deposit. Cartrack: When we tracked the car, it showed up in SilverGlen, but despite rushing to the location, it wasn’t there. Cartrack took forever to act and later rejected our claim, citing reasons that don’t add up, like missed payments that didn’t actually happen. A last minute business trip came up and I urgently needed a Ghana visa so I could fly out within a week. I had pre-booked Fast & Furious 9 tickets for my family of 15 and I. Due to the Presidents speech , covid19 and us moving to lock down Level 3, I noticed the times had changed from 18:45pm to 18:00pm and a couple more screens had opened up due to the movie being in demand. I did not receive new booking confirmation or notification that the times had changed so I called in to confirm our seating were still valid. When I called, I was request to drop helpdesk an email to receive any assistance which was frustrating!!. I received excellent customer service from Dudu Ngutshana and she even went an extra mile to give my family seats all in the same rows and called me personally to confirmed it. Thank you Dudu for going the extra mile, very much appreciated.
Thank you Ambrosia Wellness Spa for being so accommodating on special occasions, It was my Anniversary and a late decision was taken to have a spa treatment as one of our spoils unfortunately Ambrosia was fully booked for the day but when explained it was our anniversary Bhuvan Singh (manager) was able to accommodate our late request which gave us a great start to our anniversary.We had the most exquisite massage and left feeling very revitalised, Friendly staff and all safety protocols was adhered too.. I loved it!! Ambrosia Wellness Spa is highly recommended for all those in need of some pampering.
