Efficient service and assistance but delayed due to using chat.
DSTV charged me for Disney which i am not subscribed to through them. When I called they promised to pay a portion of the amount that they pick up. They informed me that they will escalate the remaining amount as its cant be traced. I have called four times already and the fourth time they offered to add me on price lock which is not what i want. I want my money back and not to be trapped in a two year agreement. If anything I am ready to cancel my subscription if this is how they handle our accounts.
MTN has been harassing me and is not willing to end my contract. I signed a two-year home Wi-Fi contract in 2021 and this year it came to an end. During the period of this contract, I have had many complaints and issues with the service. I also logged countless calls for assistance, most of which were not attended to. So it was with great pleasure for me when I remembered it was due to end that I went to their Clearwater store to inform them I would NOT be renewing my contract and that they should cancel it. This is the very same store I opened the contract at. But I was told by the lady there that I was too early to inform them and that I should come back the following month or call 135 and select option 4. They only open but do not end contracts, which is ridiculous. When I called the 135 number, there was no option 4 as recommended. I then wrote an email but still no assistance came. I have tried on multiple occasions to terminate this disappointing contract but it's been a tedious effort. The very same contract has also increased without me being informed. Then on the month that it was due to end, I was informed of a ridiculous increase. Only after they told me of the amount that was due were they willing to engage me. The amount has gone from R270 initially, then an increment sometime during the year, which is not what I signed up for. How dare MTN decide to amend and continue a contract without my consent? How does a contract change that exponentially even? Normal service providers that I have been with inform their clients that the contract is about to lapse and if they are renewing or terminating. I never got any of that from MTN. But because I was anticipating the end of the contract I informed them ahead of time but they never comp****. Now I am being threatened to be sent to a credit bureau because I am not willing to pay a contract that continued after I had requested for its termination. As far as I am concerned I ended the contract and I have emails showing my request for that which fell on deaf ears. Willing to consult the ombudsmen and CPA on this. No way am I getting ******** for a mediocre service when I have tried countless times for assistance.
Relationship was good whilst it lasted but unfortunately one had to move due to high/increased premiums and no benefits or extras.

I'm in the process of getting quotes and I approached Budget Insurance. As a tip to Budget, please train your consultants on basic etiquette when they are on the phone. So this lady (name withheld) said she's putting me on mute whilst she "checks system" but unfortunately did not mute me. Boy did she literally not scream and go off at me. She not only swore at me calling me names like I'm dumb and can't think busy asking stupid questions. Like how do I expect to pay less staying in the township vs people in Sandton? That it doesn't matter how old my license is etc. Really? Then she has the nerve to come back and act like all did not happen. I continued with the call but in the end, let it be known that I heard all the disrespectful stuff she was saying about me to whoever was in her presence. For that, I passed on her quote because I can never accept such treatment. I wonder if that call was even recorded as they always claim.
I'm so ****ed by this insurance not being transparent with me, particularly because it's underwritten by a bank that I use- Standard Bank. I have given them a couple of calls for them to clarify my so-called multiple claims but I have been sent from pillar to post by the consultants who keep saying they are putting me in the right department, only to find myself at the main menu of their voice prompts. The only claim I made from them was for dent and scratch which I was told does not form part of my car insurance policy and as such was paying for it separately. Now my information has been shared with other companies that I have made multiple claims before and when I dispute those claims it seems I'm being dishonest when it's Stansure that not only passed on false information about my history but at the same time will not take account for their transgression. My mistake was putting all my baskets in one basket- banking, financing, and insuring with one company Standardbank.
There is no worse service partnership than that between Pharmacy Direct and Bonitas Medial Fund. They have no sense of urgency and place no value to their customers/patients. What's worse is that when you call them, they tell you your medication will be delivered on the day as an emergency. But its been over a week of false promises and no delivery, despite having the updated Dr script. My mum has been without her chronic medication for over 10days now and they keep telling us lies and I'm done with them. Last delivery was made in November and each time you call you get a different person to speak to and all of them will not put you through to their manager for their bull**** service. If anything heads should roll at this stage for placing lives in danger and risking patients lives because their are part of the reason patients default on medication. They are quick to take money at the end of each month but fail to deliver on a service. No wonder medical aid is deemed a scam- this is evidence of such.
Subsequent to my previous post, Netstar has resolved my matter and I am no longer in dispute or associated with them. Its unfortunate that one needs to resort to such measures before brands listen.
This company is a money making scheme. They been harrasing me and will not release me from a contract that they failed to meet. I called them around July for insurance purposes to request them to check the whereabouts of my car and I was told my device has been inactive since the end of my contract and they could not tell me where I was at that moment. So I asked asked what have I been paying for since end of Jan2020 to date then? They responded "for service". I later, in August, informed them that I want out from that contract because I have been paying for nothing for over a year and they have not said anything about an inactive device yet continued to collect money monthly. The lady was so rude when I said I want out and she hung up on me- meaning my cancellation was rejected. I even asked what would have happened had my car got stolen during that period and they could not answer. The contract that I signed was valid for three years since Feb 2017 and nowhere does it indicate that they will continue with me beyond the indicated term. Other normal and decent companies call or notify you closer to the end of your agreement that its coming to an end and if you wish to continue further- which they did not. In fact, the only communication I got from them was their annual increases and nothing else. Pathetic customer relationship in this day and age. My mistake was not doing the 6month check on the device but they saw nothing wrong in collecting money from me regardless throughout my contractual term. Now they have collectors hounding me daily for payment for a service that isn't rendered and they will not address the issue of why they continued to deduct each month knowing that the device is inactive for over a year or why they did not accept my cancellation when I made one. This matter I am willing to fight tooth and nail- I will not allow daylight robbery.
