#BlackFriday Excellent service from Mr Ayanda Tshabane at the Springfield branch in Durban and Mr Ķhanya & Ms Portia from Gonubie branch in East London.I went looking for info about roof paint and how can one get one from Makro to be delivered or collected from the store for my home in another province and wished to know also the difference about the paints.Ayanda from Springfield park gladly explained how everything works even how to order on line.He further provided me with a brochure to take home so I could make my best choice.Fortunately I knew the colour. I then contacted Makro Gonubie and you could hear the welcoming and friendly tone on the other side when my call was picked up I then enquired from the lady, name Portia.She briefly explained how it works and then referred me to a Mr Khanya I am already a Makro card holder.Portia had found out a day earlier they had it in stock,thus the colour I wanted and gave me a call the following day since i had left my number. I waa then assisted by a Mr Khanya who took me through the process of online order.When placing order on line it reflected ''item now out of stock'.Portia was patient with me when I called again to let her know the problem.Khanya was awesome as he gave me an option of an EFT and supp**** bank details and once done then I could email proof of payment.I was also thrilled by the fact that they do deliver since our suburb is not far.It was just a matter of supplying the phone number of the person to be called when they are to deliver. I was so chuffed by this service and oh the extra mile taken by the two staff members,thank you so much for your service,you treated as if you knew me.
I was wowed by this restaurant,it was my first food chapter and it will always be my next chapter. My cousin sister and her husband came from East London for the husband's graduation on 30 October 2024. I had planned secretly for the eatery of their choice when that item comes. Their choice would be any one of the usual takeaways then I asked okay you drive all the way from East London passing all these eateries in our small towns and then still want to dine in same?we all laughed😄..i called my son asking which one we be okay to sit at a table in Florida Road, this time my relatives deserved a good one. Okay we had to search for this one.The waitress was a Sotho lady first her friendly welcoming greeting was "Naze nabahle' means so pretty then informed her what the occasion was.I was so taken by her friendliness in that even before we could place our orders we were taking photos then helped us. The service, the layout of food in our plates and the taste was the name of the game(you know when you look at your plate and be jealous to disturb it)not forgetting to thank the scenes behind,those that ploughed and harvested what I had from their elegant plate or dish, those that prepared the food,those that set the table for us .I could overhear someone at a table adjacent to us very pleased about the food so were we too esp my cousin trying to analyse the succulent lamb dish she ordered food was at its best,the outlook,the safe sitting,the view even though there was bo beach view. We may have gone there lunch time cause it was busy.I will go back for their pasta dish. The manageress also waived goodbye with a smile on our way out
For many many years before this branch opened after the July looting in KZN.I was very heart sore when i thought of staff here losing their jobs and heard later they moved premises and located them in same street..was so happy. I had been a customer of The Foschini Group dating back when i started work at my Eastern Cape province in Mthatha in the late 80's. My main reason for this store was running shoes as they stocked my best brand..even staff at my work who visited the store would be asked of my whereabouts if the staff here had not seen me for a while.I would explain to my fellow colleague totalsports over the years in town and some other branches closer for me not to travel stock lifestyle shoes of my brand which do not meet my running ones and at the same time understamding their target market over the years Little did i know any running shoe am looking for in the market i can let them know which one & order via them fit it there when it comes and collect it there..because i was buying online directly from the brand store..no frills because our running shoes wear & tear after some kilometres.What i liked most was they do not just sell..they are sort of coached or or so to know the product & sell its benefits..i proved by having googled the shoe ..features and reviews and they would give same info...my trust got built here. What also struck me most here they live their brand..i forgot the manager's name but you would not tell..he's not a sitting one..always on the floor helping customers and this is a very busy branch. I thank the friendly service of the staff including their security at the door who greets and direct you to a department you are looking for ..over the years even those i bump to that had been transferred to other branches of Totalsports or left the company they have not changed & stoll recognise me wearing a mask or not. I also thank Totalsports as a whole for playing a role in sponsoring some races around the country & happy to see staff promoting such..
Spotlight nowadays is about service and how companies deal or handle matters with the community they serve whether it is government offices or private companies also it is how we help them strive to do better. SAPS Broad street was in spotlight sometime back on facebook when someone visited these offices for an affidavit form to complete.The person was informed that CR Swart SAPS had not delivered the forms yet and advised the person that needed such form can go to the internet cafe next door(this is run by a Nigerian...infact it could be anyone..all they do would be they retrieve this affidavit from their systems and charge you R1.The person queried why should we now pay for government service..worst of all being charged This note is not to discredit the youngster there whose name is Mthokozisi but just to be careful dealing with the public maybe he is new. I believe he was assigned to assist the queue with forms to commission wearing a black tshirt and black pants.He was busy paying attention to his phone talking to whoever was on the phone at the time he was attending to me and,not completing forms properly. He had his phone on the desk responding to the caller and left me standing ..I then scrutinized to see if all sections on the forms are complete..no he didn't put his name nor complete address. I waited till he finished his call standing by the entrance.I called him back two times also to complete the sections he needed to,also there was a long queue behind me. So oneday he would treat some people like this and not aware the boss is in the queue mistery shopping.
Very grateful to the service of all staff at Truworths West Street branch in Durban starting with the warm smile and greeting of their security personnel as you enter their doors(sometimes we just whisk quickly past them as if they are to ask to search our bags yet they are just greeting us) Mr Ntuthuko Ngcobo was an exception because with the assistance he gave me to get the item that was no longer available from their on line channels,he helped me close the year on a good note.The item was out of stock on line, i took down the item stock number for them to check if any of their stores has it,they could not locate it and politely informed me if i found it on their website it could have been an item that had been bought and then returned.Before i visited this branch as a last resort,i first had called their customer services shareline asking if they do an ibt..straight answer..no we don't..even for your account holders?.no.. i had secured services of a friend prior looking to buy this item since she has an account and she had accompanied me to the store.Back to google,found item under their Gauteng stores..Menlyn & Campus square(not online)..even did a screenshot.took this to the store and they were not tired of me and it was a busy Dizemba time!I fully understood when they said it could have been a returned item.Option now was how to get it to Durban..Ntuthuko referred to his manager both were willing to help but that meant my 2023 Xmas gift would come in 2024..option was for a friend or relative to buy item for me and have it couriered privately.Even so when i mentioned that to him, Ntuthuko didn't hesitate to make a call to these stores (Jackie at Menlyn & Lindelwa at Campus Square heartfelt thanks for your services too)to check if item is in good order,check the belt,check the pockets,buttons etc i was extremely pleased with this service.Item at Campus Square was perfect,found a friend who was at the store the next morning to get it for me.Got it on time in 2023.Thanks once more for your quality item above all your quality & excellent service from all your staff ..
Quality food,value for money,hassle free guaranteed refund for any problem you may experience with their products, excellent great service of all times..no matter how long their queues may be but you can see the enthusiasm of all of them at the till point,food pantry, customers services,cosmetics& phone department( though I don't use these )willing to serve us including managers or supervisors that are always visible walking the floors. Heartfelt thanks to their security personnel at their entrances who are sometimes undermined or verbally abused by citizens or shoppers that are refused entry because they don't want to adhere to covid19 safety protocols,also the friendliness of cleaners that keep pushing trolleys back to their places . Any merchandiser you come across the floor for any assistance you need abandons what he was busy with even if that particular department doesn't fall under him but steps out to help you plus the respect they have(yes ma'm,yes sir,sorry sir)if they can't find or don't have the product in stock. Even when you call Woolworths customers services department on their helpline 0860 022 002 nationally for any complaints or queries they handle your request very professionally. Keep up the good work especially Woolworths store 344 Durban West Street.
Excellent and superservice from all staff at Clicks Westguard branch Durban.They are very very impacted each & every month because they are central but their service makes people come back. I particularly am very grateful to Collette & Ncedisa who are pharmacists at the dispensary. Over the past few years I have been collecting the same menopause repeat script which was depleting my medical aid savings they advised me to apply to have it put under chronic which was approved by my medical aid. The rest is history,each time I receive my reminder sms to come & collect I am welcomed by that greeting smile even if I am still in the queue I know for sure it's quick service since my stuff is prepacked. To merchandisers,those operating tills,cosmetic aisle beauticians,supervisors walking the floor and the security officials by the entrance please receive my heartfelt thanks for your great service to the community of Durban..If they do not have the stock of something they do not hesitate to phone another branch to check if it's there and if it's okay for anyone to collect it from there. Thank you Greyhound for the friendly & efficient service I received from Mr Kabelo Kado.He helped me with the booking for my son who is to travel from Joburg on the 10th to Durban. I was at work & in my lunch break was to travel to Durban station to purchase the ticket because the shoprite centres here central town are hectic.When I asked him about doing an eft he explained to me the turn around time for that service but went the extra mile by asking sn extra question if am using Standard bank then he made arrangements for me . He emailed me a quote of the fare with instructions to follow. I did the eft with reference then emailed back the proof & within time the booking was done.So pleased as well when he asked me if any particular seat.May he keep up the good work because he treated me as if he knows me plus that the service he delivered so well may come his way too.God bless
