Do not order from Mr Remote
Phone number doesnt exist, they dont respond to emails and dont fullfill orders correctly.

Do not use them. You’ll be left out of pocket and on your own.
Dealing with Old Mutual Insure has been one of the most frustrating and costly experiences I’ve ever had. After my home was damaged due to the negligence of a company called Express Holdings (insured by Old Mutual Insure), I spent weeks begging Old Mutual to send an assessor. Despite multiple emails, phone calls, and clear communication that I was moving house on 29 March and urgently needed repairs completed beforehand, they failed to act. When they finally sent someone - more than a month later - it was too late. I had already been forced to carry out the repairs myself. Now they refuse to cover the cost, even though their delay is the only reason I had to take action. The entire process has been marked by delay, deflection, and a complete lack of accountability. Their service is slow, evasive, and deeply *********. If you’re considering using Old Mutual Insure - don’t. They make things harder, not better.

Avoid at all costs.
Bugs & Sparks was contracted to complete work at my home, and the result was nothing short of catastrophic. Their workmanship was careless, their team unqualified for the job, and the aftermath left me with tens of thousands of rands in damage. Their installer broke my solar panel during the job, incorrectly installed the new geyser (causing a major water leak), and failed to seal the system properly — resulting in my ceiling collapsing and significant damage to my home and personal belongings. When I contacted them urgently for assistance, they were dismissive and slow to respond. Despite clear evidence of negligence, they accepted no responsibility. I have been left to foot the bill for all repairs while their insurer drags out the process with zero communication or resolution. I went out of my way to make sure everything was repaired to protect the new homeowner — something they should have done. Instead, I’ve been met with silence, avoidance, and continued costs. If you’re considering using Bugs & Sparks, ask yourself what you’d do if something went wrong. Because when it does — and in my case, it absolutely did — you will be left completely on your own. Use at your own risk. And be prepared to clean up their mess alone.

Amazing customer service!!!
We purchased a play pen for our infant son, and some bits were missing from the package. From my initial email, the missing items were at my front door within 24 hours (thanks Natasha). I was so impressed. I was also extremely happy (expectations exceeded) on the quality. Thank you I will be doing business again.

5* customer service!
Same or better service than going through a travel agency. I booked the incorrect date by mistake and had I have booked with an airline this would have been a train smash, as I did not pay extra to be able to change or cancel my ticket!!! Since it was a fast reaction, Travelstart hadnt yet issued the ticket and cancelled it with no issues whatsoever. Thank you for 5* customer service!

Afrihost for the WIN!
I had my fibre line installed by Octotel, who told me to phone Afrihost to tell them when the line was being installed (and then they would take 2-3 days to connect). Afrihost delivered the modem the same day as the Octotel installation, and internet was working immediately - and at amazing speeds! Thank you Afrihost for regaining my faith in connectivity companies in SA.

Octotel arrived to install the line, and went completely out of their way to install it aesthetically and neatly into my house via my roof. Very happy and impressed, thank you!

Con artist builder
Stay away from Kevin McIntosh! I purchased a house that he renovated just for it to start falling down 1 month after moving in. Half completed jobs (flooring), and the ceiling is falling in. I was kind enough to hire him to do more work for me installing a gutter, and they didn't even bother to include the hole from the gutter to the down pipe. Stay away from this man and this company, he will rip you off and has no idea about building.

Impersonal or no response at all
Removed my advert as I have two email addresses and this advert related to my private address, and when asking for them to either reinstate or send me the text of my ad so I wouldn't have to rewrite, they simply ignore all my emails.
