Quick and effective service with Carli Brits this morning. Thank you.
Tashas Sandton Square is great, awesome vibe, awesome food, okay service but I was really shocked to receive the bill and realise then that VAT is excluded from the prices on the menu. This is a mean trick! I'm pretty sure the prices included VAT previously. It's general industry practice, to include the VAT. And if Tashas chooses not to follow the norm then it must be stated more boldly and clearly on the menu that VAT is excluded. Patrons must be made aware. Otherwise it's a real nasty surprise after a nice meal.
I had some chips repaired on my windscreen at the Sandton branch. It was great, staff were friendly and helpful. Got the job done nicely. But I don't understand why the person carrying out the repair work had to plug into my car to power their generator for their tools, when I had driven to the PG Glass workshop? It's understandable if PG Glass comes to you. Surely PG Glass has their own electricity to carry out their work.
Tribeca @ Mall of Africa has such great food. It's so different and interesting. It might just be the particular waitress that we were unfortunately stuck with, but the service was so lousy. She was inattentive, slow, pre-occupied with her colleagues and I had to keep reminding her about what I'd asked for. I don't go to restaurants to nag...
Waited for a long time at the restaurant to get a table. No one would greet us, or even say, "will sort you out in a little bit". Staff looked at us but pretended like we did not exist. I walked away. Won't ever eat there.
Awesome restaurant, tasty food, waitrons are always friendly and chatty. Best place to eat in Mall of Africa. It's the only place in that mall where the staff have such a great attitude. Love the environmentally friendly approach: recyclable paper straws and take away packaging.
Really great spa, in a tranquil setting. Good facilities. Affordable. Had the whole spa to ourselves. Excellent massage. Friendly and kind staff. Super effective de-stressing. Only a small little drawback, showers in the change-rooms need hot water.
The cosmetic department at Edgars Eastgate needs improvement. I usually have a **** experience everytime I purchase make-up there. The sales ladies are really unfriendly, snotty, unapproachable, sometimes even aggressive. To the point where I try to avoid purchasing make-up at Edgars. I'd rather go elsewhere. When a woman is buying make-up it should be a special experience because she's treating herself. And make-up is expensive! The Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude range is only available at Edgars (Eastgate & Sandton City). So I asked for a sample at the Eastgate store. It's a new product. It felt like I had to beg for a sample. I mean I'm not hustling for free samples. I purchase Estee Lauder foundation on a regular basis. Anyways, so I find that I like this new make-up, and I decide to purchase a bottle. The sales assistant was kind and friendly this time. I didn't open the bottle and check it. I only checked it at home unfortunately. I presumed that I had been given a brand new product. It seemed like the bottle had been used. It was 92% full. Maybe used to give samples? The sales assistants shouldn't be using make-up as samples/testers and then selling these used products to the consumer. I went back to the store the next day. There was a different sales assistant at the Estee Lauder counter this time. She was aggressive before I even told her my grievances, and eager to get rid of me. It's so **** to be treated this way. I don't know what's the problem with the cosmetic department? Maybe not enough training? I'm not sure if it's only the Estee Lauder counter...
Capitec have really set the bar high in terms of customer service (they treat you like a human being), great banking set up where you get interest on your current savings account, affordable fees, no commission on forex when using your card overseas, best interest rates on fixed deposits. Withdrawing of money at the supermarket till point is so convenient. The client is in control of their monies at all times with the App and internet banking. But for real. The app is not just there to be pretty. There have been times when I needed to change my card limits in a store, or while I was travelling abroad. No hassles. I was with Standard Bank for a very long time, but they became very aggressive. Telling me that I must get a credit card and how and what I should do with my money. Forex was always a problem with them. And such rude tellers at their Forex counters. Treat people like rubbish. I also had a British bank account with TSB Bank. The British Banks really treat their clients badly. To cut a long story short, they're a useless bank. So yeah. I'm very happy with Capitec Bank, even after the Viceroy report. I just think that Capitec Bank should be careful with rescheduling loans. That does concern me that it's such a large number of loans rescheduled and that it grew so rapidly in a short time frame.
Bizfin make errors with tax codes and tax amounts. Unwilling to rectify their errors. Treat people poorly.
