****!!! This doesn't even deserve a star. Please do not use car buddy. The company will deduct money from your account and not provide you with the report. There's no way to contact them except through a useless AI automated email. Quick to deduct but impossible to get your refund back. Absolutely pathetic.
I opened a Nedbank Premium account a few months ago. I went into the Fourways Mall branch. A staff member assisted me and said that I need to deposit any amount to activate my card. I put R10 into the account and was advised everything was sorted. I then had issues logging into my money app, online banking and I couldn’t do anything with my card at the atm. I went back into the branch, no one could assist and then said I needed to call in. I contacted the call centre and they advised nothing could be done, I have to go into the branch. After some time of back and forth, I got a call from Nedbank saying I have an outstanding amount of a few hundred rands for my service fee every month. I was then advised that this is affecting my credit score. I refuse to pay for something that isn’t my fault but in fact, it’s Nedbanks fault because there is *********** staff who cannot assist when assistance is needed. My card was never activated and I could never use it. Now I’m being charged for it? I’ve contacted them several times to ask them to remove me from the system and “deactivate” the card, no assistance was received. Instead they insisted that I needed to pay that balance accumulated in order to close an account which was never activated or used. The service is so unprofessional and disappointing. Even if this problem is resolved, I will never get an account with Nedbank as it left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I would highly recommend that people try other banks first and keep Nedbank as a last resort. You might just find yourself paying for something for nothing. You also might find that your credit score is being affected for something which is not your fault. All I wanted was to open an account and have my salary paid into that account. It was supposed to be that easy. Especially when I went into the branch to do it. Now instead, I’m left with problems and unanswered questions. This has been the worst experience I’ve had with a bank. I never expected this disappointment from a so called “main” bank in SA. This is why I opted for an account with them in the first place. I definitely wouldn’t want anyone to experience this.

I took up a phone contract in December last year with FNB. My phone was delivered quickly. I had no issues with my debit orders. I can also view my statements online. FNB is hassle free. If you looking to take up a contract, I suggest using FNB.
Discovery has offered me the cheapest premium thus far. I get cash back every month for driving well. I earn points at Shell/BP when filling petrol. On top of that I get points to use at various different places like Mug and Bean etc. Friendly staff, helpful. I would highly recommend Discovery.
I have lodged a complaint about my debit orders being incorrect. It's been a week and I still haven't received any feedback. I do not recommend taking up finance with MFC. Their customer service is extremely useless. They quick to debit your account but will not assist you when they debit the incorrect amount.
It is unfortunate that I have to always type a review on hello peter in order to get a response from MFC. I cancelled a service plan which I was forced to take up and told that it's compulsory. The complaint and cancellation department ''assisted me'' in cancelling this. I was debited more than I should have been. When I try to get assistance, everyone tells me that the service plan has been cancelled. However my debit order shows differently.
I bought a strip of Big Korn Bites. Opened the packet and it was a quarter way filled.
I recently financed my car through Nedbank. Nedbank has given me great service so far. However some of their employees are absolutely rude and unethical. Naye Sihoyiya in particular. As this is my first vehicle that I purchased, I am unaware of a lot. This sales agent gave me false information and told me an additional service plan was compulsory to take up. So I took up this additional plan thinking that I do not have a choice. The total amount of this cover worked out to just over R9000.00. I phoned my dealership and they said that my service plan and warranty is included. It is unethical to give your customers false information! A sales agent cannot say something is compulsory to take up if it is not.
Very pleasant staff. I got my new vehicle without any hassles. After I collected my car, the sales agent still kept in touch making sure everything was ok. Toyota phoned to check up if everything was still in order. A smooth process.
