I have been with Discovery since I started earning an income. I have Medical Aid, Insurance, Vitality, Life, Will, Retirement Annuity and Endowment Plans with them. I update my personal policies about twice a year as income and life circumstances change regularly. This complaint is specifically towards the Discovery Life Cover Policy I have (Which is quite comprehensive as myself and my Financial Adviser - Provided by Discovery keep everything up to date and make sure nothing is missed). Last year August I unfortunately was admitted into Life The Glynnwood Hospital in Benoni due to extreme heart cramps, had problems breathing and couldn't sit or lay down as the cramps were severe. Upon admission, the late Dr Grigorov did a scan on my heart and saw that I have Myocarditis. I was then taken to a ward where I stayed for a week. The Hospital and Discovery’s records show that I had ACUTE TRANSMURAL MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION OF THE ANTERIOR WALL which translates to Heart Attack. My financial advisor told me that I have the Severe Illness Benefit on my policy which covers heart conditions and a lump sum should pay out upon a claim for the specific illness. I qualified for the Severity C - Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack). I had a Specialist Physician’s Statement, Doctor’s Declaration Form, 2 ECG’s showing the damage (Heart Attack), 4 Doctor’s saying I had a heart attack and the Hospital Admission Blood Tests which showed my Troponin levels extremely high indicating Heart Attack. Discovery Life responded by rejecting my claim and stating that it didn’t qualify as Heart Attack. They didn’t even stop there, they reviewed my policy and changed it as I never told them I had a Heart Attack even though I was admitted and it was approved by Discovery and it’s on my online profile with them. I am extremely disappointed that I have put all my personal and important policies with them, and when it comes to my health, they deny my claims even with all the medical documents and tests as support and proof of what happened.
I order a pair of shoes online and got it delivered without a hassle to my address on the 3rd of March 2024. Once I noticed the size was incorrect I asked for an exchange for a different size. It is now the 11th of April 2024 and I am yet to receive the new pair, so now Superbalist is sitting with my money and shoe (Talk about a ***** in open site). Every day since the 3rd of March 2024 I get the same notifications: Out for Delivery and then about lunch time every day, Delivery Cancelled due to insufficient address details. I report the problem every day they say my address is correct and they made a mistake by allocating it to the incorrect branch. This happens every day. My address is clearly Randburg even on their system it shows that and the consultant confirms it, yet my parcel keeps getting allocated to Rosebank and Parkhurst and they cant help me. I really do hope they suffer huge business losses with Temu and Shein slowly taking over as their incompetence to do the basics doesn’t deserve customers.
You can be glad the stars have to be chosen, other wise I would have just given you 0/5. I ordered a parcel through the IStore and they decided to use you as the courier service, which is quite laughable. The parcel came to my office this morning and everything was correct except the name. They had it completely different and due to that fact i couldn't receive my parcel and now need to wait longer. I will not let you incompetence and disrespect from the driver interfere with my life. You are probably the worst courier service in the country and that makes sense as less and less companies are using you. I refuse to accept anything from Ram going forward as life is too short and valuable to accept incompetence.

The first one failed to give any AC out and the second second one had an overload issue even though only a TV was used for power. They replaced the first one within a few weeks. The second one has been with them for more than 2 months and still no feedback has been given and the service at the Menlyn Branch is pathetic and it's almost impossible to get through to Head Office. It's because there is no financial benefit for them Rentech/Auto-X with after sales service and that's why they don't care about the customer. Now Rentech is sitting with my Money and my PPS 750W leaving me with nothing.

I registered in March to further my studies through Damelin as they were offering Part time/correspondance. I have been paying my monthly fees as arranged and had to pay a deposit. I recently applied for credit by the bank and they told me i have been blacklisted and put onto the credit list by the Credit Bureau. I asked them why and they sent me a statement showing my account with Damelin is in arrears and I haven’t paid a certain amount. I spoke to Damelins accounts department, cancellations department, customer care department, support department and consultants at the college itself and no one can help me. The one accounts staff Nadia Visser has been lying to me since day one and she is not helpful at all. I spoke to her manager and she could also not assist. Due to the above I cannot apply for any credit and this has caused unnecessary stress and inconvinience as I had to place everything on hold. I have requested now for two week straight that they send me an apology letter (havent received it as of yet) and a declaration stating that it is a mistake and that they are sorry (havent received it as of yet). Damelin is pathetic and placed me on the credit list by the Credit Bureau and this is all due to their incompetence.
